Vector Research VR-5000 under repair

Here's a view of a receiver undergoing repair. It had components fail simply as a result of age. I was very happy to "receive" this receiver as I recall it is the same model my sister owned at one time and I always liked the design. It incorporates Bass, Midrange and Treble control circuits which provide nice flexibility to adjust tonality when desired. A logical layout with easy to use controls and full capability to handle two tape decks fill out the package. A very nice performing and often overlooked receiver from the 1979-1980 time frame.
