Do you still use a fixed telephone?
This bar chart race shows the number of fixed telephone subscriptions in the world and top countries 1960-2018.
Note: Countries are shown as they exist today. East and West Germany = Germany. Russia, Ukraine and so on are not shown as Soviet Union in the past.
Fixed telephone subscriptions are defined as traditionally analogue fixed telephone lines, VoIP and WLL subscriptions, ISDN voice-channel equivalents and fixed public payphones.
