What's better than a mutual fund as an option for your money?

May prefer a mutual fund because it's an investment that pools your money together with other investors to purchase shares of a collection of stocks, bonds, or other securities into what is called a portfolio. These portfolios are overseen by a manager who handles the details for you and the other investors.

Many people think that a mutual fund is a great way to prepare for retirement. Who wouldn't want someone else to handle the complexity of the stock market when the numbers, facts, and figures seem overwhelming? Me, actually!

There are many limits with a mutual fund; limits you impose on yourself by allowing someone else to manage your money. Plus, there's CAPITAL GAINS tax and market volatility.
