NEW: The City Of San Francisco Is Dishing Out More Than $16 Million Dollars To Provide Tents For Homeless People.

The City Is Dealing With Its Sky-Rocketing Homeless Epidemic By Providing 262 Tents, Which Are Called “Safe Sleeping Villages,” to The Homeless. The City Also Provides Food And Other Services. The Cost Of All The Services Breaks Down To Nearly $200 A Night Or $61,000 A Year Per Tent.

According To Local Media, The Annual Cost Of One Spot In One Site Is 2½ Times The Average Rent For A One-bedroom Apartment In San Francisco.

San Francisco Has Created Six Tent Sites In Empty Lots Around The City. In The Lots The Homeless Have Access To Bathrooms, Three Meals A Day And Around-the-clock Security.

San Francisco Spends More Than $300 Million Each Year On Homeless Services And Projects On Having
A $650 Million Budget Deficit Over The Next Two Years.

The City Also Partakes In A Hotel Program Which Puts The Homeless Up In Hotel Rooms And Costs About $21 Million A Month. The Majority Of The Hotel Costs Are Reimbursed By Federal Tax Dollars.
