The First Transgender Athlete to Qualify for the Olympics is a New Zealand Weightlifter

ACLU's Deputy Director for Transgender Justice, Chase Strangio, a Trans-man, thinks that worrying about Male domination of Female sport is an overblown concern. Seems like motivated reasoning, but you do you to justify your job, pal.

Laurel Hubbard, 43, will be competing in the over 87 kg Women's Weightlifting competition in Tokyo this year. She will be the first Transgender Athlete to compete in the Olympics. Laurel transitioned when she was 35, also making her the oldest Olympian in the competition.

Anna Vanbellinghen, a direct competitor of Hubbards from Belgium, thinks this is a "Bad Joke" and is not denying 'her right to exist'; rather, holds this radical position that there should be Men's and Women's categories which the two shall not be mixed.

What's the difference really? It's all just a construction right? A spectrum of sorts, obviously. Not like the World Record gap between the Sexes is in the 60 kg range or anything. WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG???
