Sadly, through disobedience towards God humanity has cut it self off from access to the life-giving and transforming power of the holy spirit. This is pictured in Genesis when Adam & Eve are cut off from the tree of life.

Jesus Christ provides us with a door through which we can once again enjoy access to the spirit. Through Him we can receive the holy spirit in us and begin the process of spiritual creation God wants to perform in us.
