This week we welcome Mike Legregni, founder and owner of Veteran Wood Co. Mike walks us through transitioning from the Marines, to law enforcement, to creating a full sized woodworking shop specializing in custom 3D signs and wooden décor. Veteran Wood Co. has taken on projects big and small, with the aim of providing their customers unique items that blend art and military, and law enforcement, traditions. Mike also talks about partnering with other makers to help people throughout the community, embodying the idea of "community over competition". Whether it is providing free Zoom classes for woodworkers trying to learn the ins and outs of Vectric, or procuring a new Saw Stop for a maker in need, Mike has tried to be the example of how to use your business for more than just profit. This has lead to him creating is own non-profit, the Maker Community Project. If you love the smell of sawdust and epoxy, and can tell the difference between cedar and box elder, this is the episode for you.

During this week's segment highlighting a veteran owned business, we talk about Grill Your Ass Off. GYAO is the only spice company you need to know! Get out there and try every single one...especially the CRISPY'S Mango Habanero and the Gunpowder Brisket Seasoning. Also, make sure to check out their website and social media for awesome instructional videos and recipe ideas. Go to https://grillyourassoff.com to check out all the products.
