• ²The manager (also a KATRINA Veteran) overseeing the boat rescues at JEFFERSON PARISH where the levee was overflowed, has multiple volunteers from different agencies. He stated he had never seen JEFFERSON PARISH flooded so high before.
• ²The boat rescue manager stated there are approximately 500 that did not evacuate from JEFFERSON PARISH and those are the residents they will search for today, Aug 30, & then place them in shelters.
• ² He warned of dangers and recommends no one return to the area, today. He also stated it will probably be weeks before residents will be able to return to that region, due to the flooding, damages.

IDA WAS A CAT 4, and ³was downgraded to a CAT 1 8/29. ⁴Monday, Aug 30, 2021, IDA was downgraded as a tropical storm.
