Monday Was a busy day for me but unlike any other Monday it was more busier then Normal. I started off the day with going into work then once I was done I went trackside and pretty much stayed here all morning long but at the same time I was unaware of Nickel Plate Road 765 chugging along and making her annual return to Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad operating in partnership with Cuyahoga Valley National Park located in Northeast, Ohio. witch takes place every year in the fall expect for 2020 due to Covid 19. This Event was special to me it had Norfolk Southern Corp Engine no. 1183 an SD70ace with a K5LLA Horn escort the Nickel Plate Road 765 Some of you may ask why was it But why is there a diesel? Like most mainline steam locomotives, the 765 can operate just fine on its own – but the 765 is not yet outfitted with its own Positive Train Control system. Until there are operational and financial justifications for installing this technology for use on PTC equipped railroads, and it made it grateful for the ride. Regardless It was sure nice to see the Nickel Plate Road 765 Back in action and i am grateful to Live in the area where I don't have to Travel very far to see it I remember in the past Going to Huron just to see it roll though as a unusual event thanks to a Derailment or trackwork that made it have to Reroute to the NS Chicago Line. Nickel Plate Road 765 is a "S-2" 2-8-4 "Berkshire" type steam locomotive built for the New York, Chicago & St. Louis Railroad, commonly referred to as the "Nickel Plate Road", in 1944 by the Lima Locomotive Works in Lima, Ohio. Nickel Plate Road 765 will be at Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad operating in partnership with Cuyahoga Valley National Park located in Northeast, Ohio. on September 3rd, 10th-12th, and 17th-19th. This is a limited opportunity to ride the train while being powered by a historical steam locomotive and trips include a photo run by. departures for this 2-and-a-half hour excursion take place from Rockside Station on Saturdays at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and Akron Northside Station on Sundays at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Each ride includes the opportunity to deboard the train for a special photo opportunity with two run-bys. A special nighttime ride will take place on Saturday, September 11 from Rockside Station at 6:30 p.m.

Don't worry Nickel Plate Road 765 will be back for Berkshires in Bellevue September 24 - October 3 "Listen for the Whistle".

I understand were you are coming from and I care about your safety and because am also being experienced with the sounds of the railroad I should be wearing headphone Protection ⚠️
