This is the moment US cops chase two teens in a car travelling at over 120mph before the suspects exit the vehicle and let it to roll into a nearby lake.

The chase took place in Forsyth County in the US state of Georgia in the early hours of 2nd October.

Patrolling officers reportedly came across the suspects travelling on a road at around 90mph and immediately tried to stop the speeders.

During the chase, the police said the teen driver reached speeds of between 110 and 130mph.

At a marina, the suspects exited the vehicle and allowed it to roll along the car park where it clipped another vehicle before sinking in the lake.

The teens fled the scene, but were arrested by the cops soon afterwards.

With the help of a sniffer dog, one suspect was found hiding under the deck of the marina office.

The local authorities towed the vehicle out of the lake and discovered that it belonged to a mutual friend of the two suspects.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) accompanied the footage on YouTube with the message: “In the early morning hours of October 2nd, an FCSO deputy was conducting speed enforcement along GA 400 Northbound when he observed a vehicle traveling 90 mph.

“A traffic stop was initiated, but the vehicle fled. The pursuit continued down GA 400, reaching speeds between 110 and 130 mph. The car eventually exited at Bald Ridge Marina Road, continuing at a high rate of speed before breaking through the barrier at the Marina.”

The police continued: “With nowhere else to go, the occupants exited the car while it was rolling. The car continued a slow roll towards the lake, clipping another vehicle before drifting into the water and sinking to the bottom.

“One occupant was apprehended immediately while the others fled, but with the assistance of K9 Ivo, were located hiding shortly after hiding under the deck of the marina office.

“The car had to be towed out of the lake, and deputies learned it didn't belong to the occupants but was borrowed from a friend.”
