On this episode of Pilsners & Politics, Benji and Vinny sit down with Donnie, a current law enforcement officer, to dissect the most polarizing court case being played out in the media; the Kyle Rittenhouse trial.

Rittenhouse had been on trial in the public eye from the moment his incident occurred. Many left leaning media pundits were quick to mischaracterize him as a "white supremist," spending the last year slandering his good name and ultimately ruining his reputation. Don't we live in a country where your innocent until proven guilty? Has everyone forgotten that the burden of proof lies squarely on the People? Understanding that our justice system isn't perfect, it is still the best system in the world. That being said, the jury in this particular case got it right in finding Rittenhouse NOT GUILTY! Furthermore, this incident, which was nothing more than self-defense from the start, should have never gone to trial in the first place.

Donnie provides valuable insight into this case and parlays it into his personal life, touching on an account of how a rogue and corrupt elected official can bring frivolous charges against someone with seemingly no checks and balances for ruining their name or otherwise stellar reputation.

Tune in to hear Benji, Vinny and Donnie discuss the nuances of this trial. Was it a trial about Kyle Rittenhouse shooting three people or was this trial really just an assault on 2A? Take a listen and decide for yourself!
