Sara Gets a Trained African Grey Baby

I delivered Sara's Baby Congo African Grey! This is the first of 3 personal deliveries of my specially trained babies.

Watch how excited Sara is to welcome her new feathered baby into her home. I took the time to carefully introduce the baby to her and more importantly introduce her to the baby! It was love at first sight! The baby was stepping up, flight recalling, and asking for head scratches in no time.

Sara was able to harness up the baby Grey and take her outside for a walk to get to know each other better. The Grey is great with William as well and does not seem to have a specific preference either way.

We practiced a bit of step up training, flight recall, taming, handling, and harness training to make sure that Sara and William would be able to inherit all the skills the Grey knows. I was also able to provide a day's worth of education on all topics from training to safety to ensure that the baby is very well cared for.

William had already set up the cage in advance using the toys and perches I sent in advance. This way the baby could be familiar and settle in from the start. I didn't get a video, but we got to see her playing with toys soon after she entered her enclosure.
