There seems to be a strange disconnect between the stock market and the economy. Stock market speculation is being driven by a handful of large corporations, while Main Street withers and dies.

This has happened before, in 1929. The situation with the stock market eerily similar to what happened back then, and many believe we are headed toward a massive crash. With all of that in mind I decided to compare the situation we find ourselves in with that of our pre depression ancestors. Would you like to guess what the inflation rate was back in 1929? It was 0%. What about after the market crash? The country actually went through the largest deflationary event in its history. If you had savings when the market crashed in 1929, your money would have actually gone further, helping you through the depression that followed.

Things today are lining up a little different. We are going through some pretty hefty inflation, and the experts are telling us its not going to slow down in the near future. This time around having savings is not going to help you through this disaster. By pumping up inflation, the ruling class is doing everything they can to help the rich at the lower classes expense. It seems they have learned their lesson from the crash of 29, and are putting in place the mechanisms to protect their own fortunes.
