Adho Mukh Svanasana is a simple and effective asana which is very beneficial for our legs, arms and shoulders. This is an important asana which is one of the asanas of Surya Namaskar. Today we are going to tell you the benefits of Adho Mukha Svanasana and how to do Adho Mukha Svanasana.
Adho Mukha Svanasana is made up of three words (Adhomukha, Swan and Asana), where 'Adhomukha' means facing down while 'Swan' means dog, and Asana means sitting. This asana has been made by being influenced by the dog. When the dog has to overcome his laziness and fatigue, then he does stretching of his body in this state. This posture is called Downward Facing Dog Pose in English.

While doing Downward Facing Dog Pose, the person's head is tilted down and the waist upwards, this increases blood circulation in the direction of the head, which helps in blood supply.
