Permaculture is an approach to land management and settlement design that adopts arrangements observed in flourishing natural ecosystems. It includes a set of design principles derived using whole systems thinking.
Now is the time for us to open to ideas of how we can weave this shift into our communities!

Permaculture is about understanding and applying principles of natural ecosystems, right? Well, if you understand trophic levels, ecology 101, then you know that raising animals for food is not the most efficient way to use your land for food. Why would you use a middleman, aka animals, to provide your calories and nutrients when you can get them directly from the source, the plants? The cattle supported by an acre of land is never going to provide as many calories, protein, nutrients, etc. as that provide by an acre of food plants. How could it? The plants are the producers not the cows. That’s not even mentioning all the extra water and resources to keep the animals alive. And if you really believe that animals trampling around in the soil is necessary for good soil health, then why not grow a food forest that invites and supports wildlife, and the biodiversity of all life, including human life, instead of a food forest system that is geared towards feeding a bunch of cattle, pigs, chickens, etc?
Dr. Richard Oppenlander talks a lot about all of this in his book “Food Choice and Sustainability”
True permaculture - as it was practiced by our ancestors for eons, and my grand parents back in Europe included animals, of course. And for good and many reasons. Nature itself of course includes animals and birds in all ecosystems. Permaculture is very much about imitating nature at her best. Most, if not all humans need animal products for best and optimum health, but those might not include meat necessary. But to propagate a nutrition and agriculture without animals and animal derived foods is reminiscent of the satanic WEF and globalist's plan to put humans on artificial meat and insects. No, thank you! Please do not pollute this great meeting and dialogue with nonsense and B S! I have yet to see a healthy vegan, but that is her/his choice! Food choices cannot be imposed, each to her needs!
