We look at distant buildings or signs, look relaxedly, and blink relaxedly so eyes can refocus into the distance. It's okay if everything far is blurry, it's like going to the gym and starting with small weights. Don`t squint while doing this. If you squint, the oblique eye muscle will not relax, as they will be under tension. We also take off the glasses, the accommodation function does not work in glasses.
So we look at different distances and try to relax focus on distant objects. This is how we train the visual system to work properly. The brain will automatically send signals to refocus.
