Epic Day Of Grand River Fishing / Late Summer River Fishing For Bass, Walleye, Longnose Gar & Carp

The bite was turned on this day and we caught tons of fish including Bass, Walleye, Carp and Gar!I spend a lot of time fishing on the grand River. As a resident of Lansing I can fish several spots on the grand River in less than 10 minute drive from my house. My experience with the grand river is that it is a great river for fishing and in many ways underrated. However it is often hit and miss. Fishing can always be hit and miss but the grand river in particular can be finicky. This spot is no exception and is frequently hit or miss for me. But when the bite is turned down in the conditions are right the spot on the grand river produces all sorts of wonderful fish for me. I would’ve been happy with a day of slaying smallmouth bass but a nice walleye, long nose guard, and carp really made for an epic day of Grand River Fishing Spot. Late summer river fishing is when things really start to get exciting. The possibility of salmon and steelhead lyrics around the corner and the catfish start to become more active as the days get shorter and the nights get colder. Fishing Michigan Rivers is my favorite if you haven’t noticed and I’ve been doing plenty of fishing Michigan 2021 I’ve got several excellent river monsters this year including my personal best walleye! We didn’t exactly catch any monsters this day but I won’t complain with a solid day of mixed bag fishing.
