In this video, Jorge teaches users how they can use Alarm.com to arm and disarm their Simon XTi Security System from a smartphone. The Simon XTi Alarm System must have an Alarm.com cellular communicator installed and activated. An end user can access the ADC service through the Alarm.com Mobile App.

Being able to check Alarm.com can provide great peace of mind for end users. Sometimes, a person may be away from home, and they might not remember if they armed their security system or not. In this case, an interactive service like Alarm.com can come to the rescue! A user just needs to pull up the Alarm.com Mobile App on their Android or iOS device. They can then login to their Alarm.com account and get a quick view at their security system. If they find that it isn't armed, they will be able to arm it directly from the app.

In order to connect with the Alarm.com servers, the Simon XTi System must be using an Alarm.com cellular communicator. This is because the Simon XTi System needs to communicate with Alarm.com through a cellular connection. This added module will allow the system to send signals to and receive signals from Alarm.com. When a user arms their system locally from the panel, the system must be able to send signals so that it can notify the servers that the system is currently armed. Being able to successfully send signals is also crucial for letting Alarm.com know about any alarm events that occur. Likewise, being able to receive signals from Alarm.com is important for arming and disarming the system remotely.

But Alarm.com allows for more than just being able to arm and disarm the system and check the current system status. A user can also access this service to control any programmed smart home automation devices and to view the live feed for any Alarm.com security cameras they have set up. These additional features make Alarm.com a truly interactive service that adds great functionality to a security system.
