Ballast inscribes the official motto of the British Navy's Submarine Service, "We Come Unseen," onto the side of each watch. The New Trafalgar features a patented bezel control feature which is used to both wind the mainspring of the automatic movement and more critically the bezel is used to set both time and date with ease.
Using the outer structure of the case as part of the adjustment mechanism harkens back to submarine clocks and timers that had to be opened to be adjusted.

The New Trafalgar has a modified Miyota 8215 21 Jewel Self-winding Automatic movement at its core. The 8215 has been and is an utterly robust and reliable pieces of machinery crafted in Japan offering 40 hours of timekeeping accuracy powered by the wearers wrist movement or in the case of the Trafalgar through a quick counter clockwise turn of the bezel while the watch is in use.

The Motto of the Royal Navy's Submarine Service remarks upon the clandestine nature of the submarines movement under the waves.

For the hundred years of service, the Submarines and submariners of the Royal Navy have evolved from being regarded as renegades “underhanded, unfair, and damned un-English" to being regarded as a crucial part of the countrys Naval Defense.

The Canteen fixture on the watch is manafactured out of 10 individual pieces each individually plated and crafted to protect the setter button adding a level of protection agains the elements.

An inner ring is carefully stamped, polished and inlaid inside the case, adding another level of detail and precision engineering drawing from the lines and construction of the submarines themselves.

Where you may see a submarine detailed buckle as an add on, the Submarine punch through stainless steel tang buckle come standard with each Trafalgar.

Each buckle is bold, strong yet utterly wearable and crafted to the line of the leather strap for a no-nonsense comfortable fit.

The Ballast Trafalgar's strap is no less an investment of time, material and design. The result is a beautifully robust, yet supple cut edge strap made from leathers tanned in Italy.
