I-Buyers purchased approximately 70k homes in 2021. That is a pretty significant number. Only time will tell whether the I-Buying market will ever achieve profitability. It seems that more and more I-Buyers and tech based Real Estate companies are having difficulty earning profit instead of taking losses. It is uncertain if they can remain operational as the years go on due to a number of issues, mainly the deceleration of Home Price Appreciation and the reduction in Home Purchase sentiment.
