The California condor is a New World vulture and the largest flightless bird in North America. This condor inhabits northern Arizona and southern Utah, including the Great Canyon and Zion National Park. The California condor is currently the only living species of the genus Gymnogyps. In addition, this bird is a scavenger animal, feeding on large quantities of carrion.
