Footage is all AI colorized by computers and actual color footage was extremely rare in 1940-45.

The Panzer II AII, BII or CII (Pz.Kpfw. IIa IIb IIc) were limited production models and the Ausf A was the first version of the Panzer II to be built and several variants were made named AI and AII, but only 75 were produced from May 1936 to February 1937 by Daimler-Benz and MAN.
The BII variant was the second limited production vehicle, this version had reworked suspension components resulting in a wider track, longer hull, new drivetrain, engine and more armour, which resulted in a heavier vehicle and only 25 were produced by Daimler-Benz and MAN.
The CII saw the most upgrades on the suspension and six small road wheels with five larger independently sprung road wheels and an additional return roller were added making it look more like the Panzer II Ausf A that went into production in 1937.

The Panzer II Ausf D was developed as a tank for use in the cavalry divisions. It had a completely new hull and suspension system
but it was discontinued in favor of a new Flamme Panzer II project, and only a total of 43 were built from October 1938 through March 1939 by MAN, there was also a Ausf E version, but only 6 chassis were ever completed.

The Panzerkampfwagen 2 was originally designed as a stopgap tank, because the Panzer I wasn't capable of defeating armor. Development began in 1934 and production started in 1935.
But the Panzer II was already outdated in 1936, and had no protection against armour-piercing shells, wasn't designed for a modern battlefield and was designed with an WW1 mindset.

So over the years it was increasingly upgraded, specially the armour which changed the appearance of the vehicle from rounded to boxy shape, with the last Ausf F variant having 35 mm front armour and 20 mm side armour.

Even due the Panzer II was extremely outdated it was produced from 1935 until 1944 and 1,856 were made.

Several other variants were made like the Panzer II Ausf. L "Luchs" reconnaissance tank and a few Brückenleger (bridge-layer) and Bergepanzerwagen (recovery) versions were produced.

Another use for the obsolete Panzer II tank design was the chassis and it was used for the Marder II and the Wespe Self propelled guns.
