Five fetuses located at the home of DC-based Anti-Abortion activist

Police made a startling discovery when they raided the home of a DC area anti-abortion activist. Five aborted fetuses.

The activist, Lauren Handy was seen sitting outside of her D.C. home as officers searched her residence, and eventually, homicide detectives showed up.

Officers responded shortly after noon to a home on the 400 block of 6th Street SE to investigate a tip about potential bio-hazard material in the residence.

Once inside, they located the fetuses. The remains were collected by the D.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Handy told WUSA9’s Nathan Baca that she expected the raid to happen “sooner or later.” She also declined to say what was in the coolers, saying only that “people would freak out when they heard.”

A crew from WUSA9 as well as their camera were present at the location and observed DC Police homicide and forensic services detectives as they took evidence out in red biohazard bags and coolers from the rowhouse’s basement.
On March 23, Handy made a Facebook post describing an incident that happened on March 9th.

Handy claims that several activists, including herself, gained access to the University of Washington’s fetal organ labs & freezers.

She described the scene and what they saw, writing, “We saw bags filled with aborted baby body parts that will be used in experimentations all across the universities in America.
It was very hard to process what we were all seeing. Shock, anger, disgust and an overwhelming sense of acute grief — rows and rows of bags filled with dead babies. For myself it was too much. A complete sensory overload. I wanted to die.”

A press release accompanied the post.

It is not known if the fetuses later found in her D.C. home came from this location.

This is not Handy’s first run-in with the law when it comes to her activism. She has been arrested, and cited for trespassing as well as for unlawful entry and blocking an entrance.

She is currently under indictment for an incident in which prosecutors say Handy called a Washington Surgi-Clinic pretending to be a woman named “Hazel Jenkins” who needed an abortion and made an appointment for the morning of Oct. 22, 2020.

When Handy showed up for her appointment an employee opened the door. Handy and the other 8 co-defendants forced their way into the clinic. In the process they allegedly knocked the clinic employee over, causing her to injure her ankle.

Once inside, the defendants allegedly moved chairs to block the entrance to the clinic’s treatment area and used chains and rope to tie them together. One of the defendants live-streamed from inside the clinic, saying at one point, “We have people intervening physically with their bodies to prevent women from entering the clinic to murder their children.”
