Does the Bible condone sex trafficking?
"This can't really be in the Bible!"
Have you ever read a verse and then said that to yourself?
Do you sometimes have a hard time interpreting passages of Scripture through today's lens?
It can be hard to read the Bible:
For one, it's long. There are 66 books and thousands of pages.
Two, it's old. It's most recent parts were written almost 1900 years ago.
And three, it's got some crazy statements, like today's topic: "What do you do when you want to take a captive woman home with you whose husband you just killed?"
We are going to deep dive into a Text that you are going to say, "I can't believe that's in the Bible!"
I assure you, The Law of Captive Woman is in the Bible for a reason! We'll examine it and explain how it applied then, what it means now, and the tremendous BLESSING GOD HAS IN STORE FOR US today. Get your Bibles out and let's dive in to The Difficult Sayings
of Torah Part 1: Deuteronomy 21: 10-14.

Deep Dive Bible Study | Kings of Compromise pt20: The danger of weak men.
It's a problem that has been around since the garden of Eden: The Danger of Weak Men.
One of the most important things for every nation, every community, every neighborhood, every home, and every marriage is the necessity of strong men.
Why?
When we don't have strong men, we do not have strong homes, strong marriages, strong communities, strong nations, and a strong world.
Weak men destroy everything.
We have what we had happened this week in the Christian School in Nashville. (If you're watching this much later in life this content has come to you on the heels of a tragic shooting of six people murdered in cold blood by a transgender person in Nashville TN )

Deep Dive Bible Study | Kings of Compromise: pt16: “Why God Cuts”
God often speaks most clearly in the dark seasons of life- Amen!
In this study of 1 Kings 17 we are going to see a shift from the kings-- the political leaders of the nation of Israel, to the prophets that God sends to the nation. It is in these darkest moments for Israel the Elijah comes to center stage.
Remember: it is not the political leaders or the self-imposed dictators of our world that cause God's plans to be accomplished. They are simply tools in His hand; pawns on His chess board.
It is the Word of God spoken through the prophets and people of God that move the Kingdom of God forward to literally affect every other Kingdom of this world!

Deep Dive Bible Study | Kings of Compromise: pt15 “Is your king like David?”
There’s a bit more crazy coming out of Washington, DC.
We saw it with the State of the Union address—another president making another speech about all the promises he is going to fulfill for us.
In reality, no matter what side of the political aisle you are on, you know we are headed for disappointment because there is NO True King outside of King Jesus.
You might be asking how studying this account in first Kings about the unrighteous, wicked, evil kings apply to our lives?
The answer is, it has everything to do with us because every now and then, in the Southern Kingdom of Israel, a righteous king arrives on the scene and changes the game!
We are going to look at how that happens, why that happens, and how we can make it happen in our own lives.

S5E15 | Romans 7: Every Christian Struggles With Sin. And Yes, There's A Purpose In The Struggle
There’s a deeper problem
inside you that you don’t see.
Romans 7:24 (ESV) Wretched man that I am! Who will
deliver me from this body of death?
⚠️ OUR CURRENT CULTURAL MOMENT:⚠️
Little boy: “I feel like a girl in a boys body.”
Culture: “You are right in those feelings. We are going to change laws
and science to accommodate you.”
⚠️BLAME CULTURE in the SOCIETY⚠️
Person: “Your view offends me.”
Cultural Rulers (Big Tech): Suspend, silence and censor them.
Cultural Rulers (University): Disinvite speakers, fire professors, etc.
Cultural Rulers (Government): Vilify then Prosecute dissenters.
The problem with modern preaching is that
preachers offer advice, guidance, counsel, and
care, but rarely (if ever) address the true nature
of our sinfulness. 💯💯
⚠️ BLAME CULTURE in the CHURCH⚠️
Church Person: “The Pastor offended me with what he said.”
Church: “Okay, we will stop talking about that.”
SPIRITUAL MATURITY: Is not an awareness that we are getting good but rather a
humbling awareness that we are far more sinful than we
realize and we need more of Jesus and the Holy Spirit
every single day.
The only way to change is to
FIRST realize you can’t:
1. You are worse than you realize.
2. The problem is sin inside you.
3. Sin inside you is more powerful than willpower.
4. (Because willpower is also tainted by sin!)
5. I NEED SOMEONE TO SAVE ME.
Blame OR Change, YOUR CHOICE.
THE GREATEST BENEFIT TO OUR STRUGGLE WITH SIN:
to teach us to rely more
and more on God and less
and less on ourselves.
Thanks for commenting, liking, and subscribing!

Today is an import study on bondage and the human will. The real question is, “Whose slave are you?” Romans 6:17 says once you were slaves of sin while Romans 6:18 says, once you accept Christ, you become slaves of righteousness. The Truth is, YOU do not have FREE WILL.
Why does it matter? There is SOMEONE behind the stupid decisions we make. Who is the ONE PERSON you do not want to let down? Who is the ONE PERSON you are trying to get approval from?
YOUR ACTIONS LEAD TO MORE SIMILAR ACTIONS!
❌ You are not FREE TO SIN.
✅ You are FREE FROM SIN.
❌ You are not FREE to do what you WANT.
✅ You are FREE to do what God MADE YOU TO DO.
Whether you realize it or not: You are right now becoming more of something. And God has given His people the power to become more like Him!
📚 DOCTRINE TIME:
(1) ANTINOMIANISM: Greek, anti, “against,” nomos, “law”. God’s grace means we get to break the law.
(2) UNION WITH CHRIST: “We share in Christ’s life, merits and power over sin.”
(3) FREEDOM OF THE WILL: “A power of the human will by which a man can apply himself to the things which lead to eternal salvation or turn away from them.”
(4) BONDAGE OF THE WILL: “For if it is not we, but only God, who works salvation in us, then before He works we can do nothing of saving significance, whether we wish to or not.”

S5E14 | Romans 7: Are You A Rule Breaker Or A Rule Keeper? How Does The Gospel Apply to Both?
Which are you in God's Church: a Relativist or a Legalist?
Romans chapter 6 explains and answers Relativists while Romans chapter 7 explains and answers Legalism.
Legalists tend to diminish LOVE. You may be a legalist if - you get more upset at the sins of others than your lack of love for the LORD.
Substituting relationship for religious ritual:
✓When it’s about checking religious boxes such as going to church or attending mass or practicing the sacraments or ordinances
✓When it’s about your position/advantages in the church body.
✓When it’s about protecting insiders instead of reaching outsiders.
✓When it’s about man-made rules and not God’s desires for our lives.
God wants legalism to die and love to arise. God desires love for Him and not simply a commitment to His rules.
When we abide in the LOVE of God and not the rituals of religion we love one another!

S5E10 | Romans 5: The Assurance of Our Salvation
What is the HOPE of our salvation through all the BUMPS in the road?
The Gospel cannot just be good news about our past. It has to be good news about our present AND our future!
Only with the assurance of God’s power can the Christian face suffering with JOY.
Romans 5:1-2 (ESV) Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

S5E9 | Romans 4:11-25 "Good Christians Don't Go To Heaven"
Faith-- If we are honest, is a bumpy road.
Do you ever doubt your salvation?
If you're going through something right now and are wondering, "Is God ever going to do what He said He would do in my life?", "Is what I'm going through ever going to change?", "Is this situation ever going to get fixed?"-- then this is the Bible study for you!
We grow stronger through times of testing. A faith that believes is a faith that lives it out in spite of our failures!
Episode Segments:
▶ Justification by Faith [1:40]
▶ What it meant [6:18]
▶ What it means [38:52]
▶ Why it matters: [47:28]
You grow in faith as you consider what God can do is greater than you can't do.
• Is God faithful in spite of my faults and failures? Yes.
• Is God patiently working through everything to save me? Yes.
• Is this hard moment a test of my faith? Yes.
• Will there be challenges ahead? Yes.
• What must I do right now? Believe and trust Jesus.
Romans 4:20 (NLT) Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God.
