The Deplorables - Kret and Wendy chat about their upcoming trip to Poland.
With one week to go until we head to Poland we thought we would give a little update.
While Kret is not keen on interviews he agreed to answer a few questions to share a little about his background, the current situation in Poland and the progress on Wendys language lessons!

Battleground Melbourne
Battleground Melbourne Documentary.
Battleground Melbourne tells the story of the Fall of the World's Most Liveable City, through the eyes of those who risked everything to save it.
We've been called every name you can imagine, the media, politicians, and the 'I stand with Dan' crowd have used every baseless slur you can imagine, and probably many you can't, to try and shame us and shut us down.
And Victoria Police went on an 18 month rampage of repression, unlawful arrests, and widespread intimidation in order to silence us.
So who are we? And given all we were up against, how did we grow from just 70 people in April 2020, to hundreds of thousands in the biggest political events in Australian history in November 2021?
This is our story, told through our eyes. Battleground Melbourne is our reply to the lies, half truths, slurs, and lazy attacks that we have endured for the last 2 years.
This is our story. The story of ordinary people doing extraordinary things and taking extreme risks to stand for what we believe in.
You may not agree with us, you may not even like us, but you can't claim to know who we are until you've watched the Feature Length Documentary Battleground Melbourne.

Solidarity: Freedom Warriors
Leszek shares from his experience about how the Solidarity movement brought down communism in Poland and then in Europe.
The Solidarity movement started in Poland in the early 1980's as a union to advocate for workers rights. Over 10 years it grew into a social change movement and then was instrumental in leading the revolution to overthrow the communist regime in Poland.
Leszek experienced this change in Poland and then came to Australia where he has led the Australian Solidarity Movement.

Remember The Horses Too
Remember The Horses Too
By Kym Eitel
The men who went to war for us and died so far away,
are honoured and remembered well each April - Anzac Day.
Our soldiers fought with hero strength, but let us not forget -
who helped them through those horrid times of bomb and bayonet?
The Remount Section source the best -Australia's finest Walers
were let aboard 100 steam ships -patient equine sailors.
Oblivious to the war ahead, they crossed the angry waves.
Not all of them survived the trip, some sleep in ocean graves.
The Brigadieer's prancing mount,the trooper's sturdy steed,
the half - legs pulling water carts, gave strength, endurance, speed.
The Waler took the trumpeter to call at Palestine.
The heavy horse pulled medic carts behind the firing line.
The gun horse hauled artillery to armthe troopers' fight,
while sections ride reconnaissance each dark and restless night.
Through dust storms, scorching temperatures and shifting sand and hills
they prove they had hearts of gold, with courage, nerve and will.
The horses saw the desperate times when death was all around.
They galloped through the screaming injured, thrashing on the ground.
They were shot at, strafed by German planes, felt shrapnel each grenade.
The wounded, frightened horses fell as Turk machine guns sprayed.
All did their job, and did it well, with little hope of rest.
The saddle taken off at night was thanks they got at best.
A pat and "Thanks, good on you mate," a nose bag with some corn,
a quick lay down, a few hours sleep, then back to war at dawn.
So many stories have been told - heroic acts of horses
who double - backed the injured men and dashed through Turkish forces.
Then when the war was finished, all the troopers clapped and cheered,
but what about the horses, that they loved and so revered?
Their horse was friend and comrade, through the thick of war and thin.
The Aussie politicians wouldn't let them come back in.
They said "Because of quarantine, and massive costs involved,
you'll have to leave your mounts behind." The troopers' cheers dissolved.
The war was done. The men could leave that nightmarecombat zone,
but first, they had to take the lives of those who saved their own!
The younger mounts were volunteered to India's command.
Those over four were shot, and left to perish in the sand.
The horses of the 3rd Brigade were killed in Tripoli.
They lined them up in olive groves, then shot them. Tears ran free.
Each marksman fired, and wished the horse had died while serving war,
to lay the blame on enemy - instead his own heart tore.
The horses' frightened screaming rose above the gunshot rattle,
and left the men with lifelong scars, of killing after battle.
A thankless way to thank each horse for service in the sand,
and fearless dedication shown to save our precious land.
180,000 horses gave their blood and lives,
to help return our troopers to their children and their wives.
They gave their all, then still found more brave gallantry to give.
They'd never see green fields again,or come back home to live.
We're grateful for the Anzacs and their sacrifice as well.
We know the wars was brutal and the soldiers went through hell.
So honour the fallen loved ones and friends we never knew,
but I ask you, every Anzac Day...... remember the horses, too....

Nurse no more.
In Ballarat Amber chatted with a dedicated nurse who was dismissed with gross misconduct allegations after 20 years of service for not taking the vaccine.
Her calm but determined spirit and her faith has kept her strong. She has now returned to providing care for people in the community.
Thank you for sharing with Love-Banter Mantra-Amber and The Deplorables in their search for humanity at the Forest of the Fallen Display at Lake Wendouree, Ballarat 14/4/24.

"Freedom - Te Deum" / "Wolność - Te Deum"
"Freedom - Te Deum" - Thank you, God!
For the freedom that we have in Poland
thanks to your mother's kindness.
We thank you, God, we praise you, God.
For this freedom and for the peace
that we can enjoy.
We praise you, God - we thank you, God.
For this freedom, which we sometimes call
"difficult fate".
We thank you, God, we praise you, God.
For this freedom and for the opportunities
we waste every day.
We praise you, God - we thank you, God.
For this freedom that we swear
to defend until death.
We thank you, God, we praise you, God.
For this dream freedom that we cannot achieve.
We praise you, God - we thank you, God.
For this freedom that we carefully entrust
to your care.
We thank you, God, we praise you, God.

Lord Louies - Don't worry, be happy.
We found Lord Louie continuing to create smiles at the Cairns market with his new friend Dr Kevin Numnum. They bring a sense of joy and wonder to all ages who pass by.
We understand through the many people we meet that when people are in challenging and complex circumstances the message of 'Dont Worry Be Happy' can appear simplistic and distant.
However for those needing a moment to stop, smile and even sing and dance please enjoy Lord Louis and Lady Clairs rendition of 'Dont Worry Be Happy.'
Lord Louis is a artist, teacher and puppeteer. He is nurturing social development through art and puppetry. He can be found at Reloveolutionpuppets@gmail.com

Operation Hard Yakka - Making positive change in the lives of young man.
Arriving at Operation Hard Yakka was a turning point in Ricky - J's life. He was headed down a dangerous path of crime, drugs and gangs and even though he had a few unsuccessful attempts to leave he settled into a place with loving boundaries and mutual respect.
Years later he has returned to Operation Hard Yakka but this time is on the other side of the fence. He is now supporting other young mem to find their purpose and identity.
He credits the success of his life to the founder Bob. Bob has been running Operation Hard Yakka for 16 years. He has had over 500 young mem attend the program and has a success rate of 97%. Success is determined by having the young men return to school or work, not getting in trouble with the law and respecting family members.
I met Bob at a Hervey Bay 'Stop Crime' Meeting with Malcolm Roberts. At this meeting we heard the distressing story of a young women killed a few weeks ago by a 13 year old in a stolen car. This event impacted so many people in the community, carers, the car owner, the grandmother of children involved, the children and extended family of the deceased, the school, the police and the hospital staff. Bob is offering one solution to a very complex problem. He runs a gel ball business to help fund it. With more funding he can provide more programs.
To support Operation Hard Yakka or find out more please check their website ᴏᴢᴀᴅᴠᴇɴᴛᴜʀᴇs.ᴄᴏᴍ.ᴀᴜ or email ʙᴏʙ@ᴏᴢᴀᴅᴠᴇɴᴛᴜʀᴇs.ᴄᴏᴍ.ᴀᴜ

Berni - Fighting for justice.
Berni has become apart of the Deplorables Family. We first met her at a low point after she was terminated as a nurse and was assualted by police for not wearing a mask resulting in a broken sternum. Berni has found her courage and is holding people accountable for their actions. Today we celebrate with her as she hands over legal documents (link below) to her CEO. As her healing continues her inner strength and desire for justice and accountability blossoms.

Dan featured on our van as we travelled around Australia. Today we had the pleasure to get to know him a little better.
Dan has a special way of navigating life. He has an inner strength and an outward gentleness. His love of horses and life on the cattle station is evident in this heart warming video.
Mel the foal is clearly keen to be the star of the show and I think she pulls it off. Enjoy a wander around Melaleuca with Dan.
