Part 14: Napoleon Total War- Adiós to the Spaniards
Episode 14 of the Napoleon Total War series propels the narrative into new heights of heroism and determination. General Ernest Augustus, renowned as "The Riding Master," continues his stalwart defense of Paris against relentless attacks by the French rebels. His unwavering commitment to the city's safety has earned him admiration and reverence from the people of London. The tales of his bravery, along with those of General Townsend Walker and General Arthur Wellesley, inspire the nation and shape the aspirations of young boys across the capital.
General Arthur Wellesley, after surviving yet another assassination attempt, returns to London amidst a tumultuous welcome from the citizens. Despite being offered retirement by the King, Wellesley vehemently rejects the notion and insists on returning to the front lines. Honoring his unwavering dedication, the King grants his request, and Wellesley boards Admiral Nelson's flagship vessel, accompanied by a resounding gun salute as they set sail across the Channel. His resilience in the face of adversity has made him a living legend, and the nation eagerly awaits his next move.
General Townsend Walker, positioned on the border of Portugal, stands ready for the impending war. While a peace treaty currently exists between Britain and Portugal, the declaration of war is inevitable. In a display of trust and strategic acumen, Walker handpicks a first officer from his command and promotes him to the rank of General. The newly appointed General is sent to the port city of Cartagena, Spain, with a freshly recruited army. Their mission is to embark on Admiral Sir John Jervis' fleet and set sail for the Isle of Palma, the last remaining region under Spanish occupation. The capture of the isle would signify the end of Spain's prominence, once Napoleon's largest trade partner reduced to mere ashes. The pursuit of Napoleon himself looms ever closer, as the British forces strive to bring an end to this prolonged war.
In Episode 14, the weight of history rests on the shoulders of the valiant generals, their armies, and the indomitable spirit of the British people. The outcome of their actions will shape the destiny of nations, inspire generations to come, and ultimately determine the course of the Napoleon Total War series.

Part 13: Napoleon Total War "The King is Dead!"
Episode 13 of the Napoleon Total War series delves into the shifting dynamics of power and strategy following the monumental events of the previous episode. General Townsend Walker, after a decisive victory in Madrid, has not only secured control of Spain but also gained access to its valuable gold mines and deposits. The Spanish Government, now operating from the Isle of Palma, is reeling from the devastating loss.
Given his remarkable success, General Townsend Walker receives new orders to amass a second army in Spain and handpick a new General to lead them. The objective is clear: to launch an assault on the Isle of Palma and bring an end to Spanish resistance. The fate of Spain hangs in the balance as the British forces prepare for this audacious endeavor.
Meanwhile, General Arthur Wellesley continues his triumphant offensive eastward from France, successfully capturing Holland on behalf of the crown. The last episode concluded with the climactic Battle of Amsterdam, solidifying British control over the region. Wellesley's military prowess and strategic brilliance make him a formidable force on the European mainland.
In Paris, General Ernest Augustus, known as "The Riding Master," has valiantly defended the city against three attacks by French rebels. His unwavering commitment to holding Paris at all costs has kept the rebellion at bay, ensuring stability in the heart of France. However, a small detachment under his command is assigned to intercept any Swiss military maneuvers entering France. The Swiss, known for their troublesome incursions into southern France, have incurred the wrath of the King with their destructive actions.
A significant development arises as King George III passes away, and a new monarch, King William IV, ascends to the throne. London mourns the loss of its former king but rallies around the new ruler. Rumors abound regarding King William's preparations to bolster the military forces of Scotland, known for their expertise in cold-weather warfare. Speculation arises as to whether the new king has plans involving Denmark or Sweden, potentially causing complications with British allies Russia and Austria. The military watches with anticipation, hoping that the young king's understanding of current affairs, imparted by his predecessor, will guide him wisely in the conduct of the war.
As the series unfolds, the fate of nations and the ambitions of kings converge in a conflict that spans continents. With each episode, the stakes rise, and the actions of generals and monarchs shape the destiny of empires. The British forces march forward, guided by the enduring rallying cry: "God save the King!"

Part 12: Napoleon Total War
Episode 12 of the Napoleon Total War series picks up after the decisive victory of the British fleet led by Admiral Jervis Walker against the Spanish in the Battle of Gibraltar Strait. However, the British suffered a significant loss with the death of Admiral William Cornwallis. With Jervis in drydock for repairs, the Spanish see an opportunity to strike back.
A small fleet of three Spanish vessels has blockaded one of the British trade routes, cutting off vital supplies. The repairs on Jervis's fleet need to be completed swiftly so that he can deal with this threat before it is reinforced. Ships are being constructed in London and dispatched to Gibraltar to serve under Jervis's command, reinforcing the British naval presence in the Mediterranean.
Meanwhile, General Townsend Walker maintains a trade route blockade south of Madrid, effectively cutting off supplies to the city. The time to attack and break the blockade is now being considered. However, the Spanish army has dispatched a small force to besiege Pamplona, Navarra, which is currently under British control. Inside the city, a brave but untrained armed citizenry consisting of four units holds the hope of defending against the Spanish until reinforcements arrive. General Ferdinand Erst Gabriel, accompanied by two cavalry units and three units of line infantry, has been dispatched to their location upon receiving a distress letter from the town. The question remains: Can they make it in time to relieve the besieged city?
On another front, General Ernest Augustus holds control of Paris with his massive army, tasked with suppressing any uprisings of French rebels in the region. Meanwhile, General Arthur Wellesley continues his successful offensive, capturing Brussels, Flanders, and Wallonia. Now, his sights are set on the city of Amsterdam. With the treasury strained under the pressures of war, it is crucial to establish new trade partners, claim more territories, and get Admiral Jervis back out to sea to disrupt enemy trade routes.
The British forces possess an enormous amount of manpower on Europe's mainland and powerful fleets on the high seas. Their objective is to secure victory, expand their territories, and secure valuable resources for the king. The stakes are high, and the outcome of this episode will shape the course of the Napoleon Total War series.

Part 11: Napoleon Total War
Episode 11 of Drifter's Napoleon Total War series follows the exhilarating events of the previous episode. General Wellesley's exceptional leadership and the bravery of his inexperienced army culminated in the successful recapture of Paris from the French rebels. Inspired by their victory, Wellesley solidifies his position as a trusted commander, leading his men with an iron fist and instilling unwavering loyalty among his troops.
With Paris back under British control, the King and defense ministers recognize the need for continued vigilance. They appoint General Ernest Augustus, renowned for his attacking prowess, courage, and mastery of cavalry units, to maintain order in France. General Augustus's primary objective is to quell any potential uprisings and solidify British control over the region. Simultaneously, General Wellesley prepares to push his army eastward, specifically targeting Strasbourg, a major French stronghold suspected of housing Napoleon Bonaparte himself.
General Townsend Walker remains steadfast in his strategy, maintaining the trade route blockade south of Madrid. By causing destruction to major infrastructure and cutting off vital supplies to the Spanish capital, Walker's forces wreak havoc on Spain's treasury and further weaken their hold on the region.
On the naval front, Admiral Jervis Walker and Admiral William Cornwallis embark on a daring and bold mission. Having crossed through the Gibraltar Strait, their formidable fleet patrols the Mediterranean. Their primary objective is to raid trade routes that support the French and Spanish forces, disrupting their supply lines and weakening their economies.
As Episode 11 unfolds, the stakes are high. General Wellesley faces the challenges of eastward expansion while defending the territories already conquered. General Augustus must assert control over a potentially restless France. Admiral Jervis Walker and Admiral Cornwallis navigate the treacherous waters of the Mediterranean, seeking to disrupt the enemy's trade and maritime operations. The episode promises intense action and strategic maneuvering as our commanders face unforeseen obstacles while striving to secure their hard-won territories and expand British dominance in the region.

Part 10: Napoleon Total War (Pub Pre-Game)
Episode 10 of Drifter's Napoleon Total War series picks up after the momentous events of the previous episode. General Wellesley, having successfully defeated the revolutionists who occupied Paris, mourns the loss of his previous army, which valiantly defended the city. With their sacrifice in mind, he honors the fallen soldiers and seeks to build upon their legacy.
Bolstering his army's numbers through a successful recruiting campaign, General Wellesley faces the daunting task of leading an inexperienced but motivated force. The trust he earned from his men during the battle for Paris becomes a vital asset as he navigates the challenges that lie ahead.
In the south, General Townsend Walker continues his march, having successfully captured Barcelona. Pressing further south, his forces establish a trade route blockade below Madrid, effectively cutting off crucial resources from reaching the capital city. The strategic moves by General Townsend Walker aim to weaken the French forces and tighten the grip on their supply lines.
Meanwhile, Admiral Cornwallis faces an unexpected ambush by a Spanish fleet while crossing the Bay of Biscay. Despite the surprise attack, Cornwallis skillfully maneuvers his fleet and sinks all four Spanish warships while preserving the integrity of his own ships. After the battle, he heads to drydock for necessary repairs before setting sail once again to join forces with Admiral Jervis and secure trade routes in the southern region, including those heading to the United States.
As Episode 10 unfolds, uncertainty lingers in the air. The victories achieved so far raise questions about what surprises Napoleon may have in store. Will it be smooth sailing for the British forces, or has the French leader set traps along their path? Only time will reveal the challenges that await our commanders and the twists that will shape the course of this gripping campaign.

Part 9: Napoleon Total War - Pub Pre-game-Gaming
Episode 9 of Drifter's Napoleon Total War campaign picks up from the previous episode. General Wellesley's army has successfully driven out French rebels, securing the area around France. However, trouble persists as a French spy in Paris continues to evade capture, having made four attempts on Wellesley's life. Currently recovering from a knife wound in London, Wellesley faces ongoing danger.
General Wellesley, having returned to the French mainland from London by boat, sadly witnessed the valiant defense of his entire army as they fought bravely but ultimately succumbed to overwhelming numbers while defending the city of Paris.
In response to this devastating loss, the King of England has authorized the recruitment of a new army, with half of it already reaching the French mainland and joining forces with General Wellesley. This new army aims to continue the fight against the French forces.
Meanwhile, General Townsend Walker has successfully negotiated a peace agreement with Torino, Italy. This diplomatic achievement allows him to redirect his efforts towards the southwest, focusing on Spain. His goal is to cut off French trade supply lines and suffocate their resources, strategically weakening their forces.
With the renewed recruitment and the strategic objectives set, both General Wellesley and General Townsend Walker are determined to push forward in their respective campaigns, seeking to turn the tide of the war and bring an end to French dominance.
In their quest to reclaim Paris from the French rebels, General Wellesley and his newly recruited army are determined to launch a counteroffensive. Recognizing the significance of retaking the capital city, they devise a strategic plan to regain control.
Despite the devastating loss suffered previously, Wellesley's army, reinforced by fresh troops, begins the arduous task of pushing back the French rebels. They meticulously plan their movements, coordinating with other allied forces and leveraging their resources effectively.
The recapture of Paris becomes a top priority, not only symbolically but also strategically. General Wellesley understands that regaining control of the capital would deal a severe blow to the French rebels' morale and disrupt their operations significantly.
With their determination fueled by the memory of their fallen comrades, General Wellesley's army launches a meticulously coordinated assault on the occupied city. They employ a combination of tactical expertise, superior firepower, and relentless determination to break the enemy's defenses and liberate Paris.
The outcome of this critical battle will have far-reaching consequences, potentially altering the course of the war. General Wellesley and his army are prepared to risk everything to retake Paris, to restore order and stability to the region, and to weaken the French rebels' grip on power.

Part 8: Napoleon Total War
Episode 8 of Drifter's Napoleon Total War campaign picks up where the previous episode left off. General Wellesley's army has succeeded in pushing out all French rebels from the territory, securing the area around France, but trouble still brews within. There is believed to be a French spy in Paris who has attempted to assassinate Wellesley for the fourth time. Despite their efforts, the spy has yet to be identified and captured. Wellesley himself is currently back in London, recovering from a knife wound sustained in the latest attempt on his life.
General Townsend Walker, on the other hand, has made progress in the South, successfully capturing Torino. However, an uprising in Marseille, Provence demands his attention before he can focus on Madrid. The British Navy, meanwhile, has made a significant move with the launch of its first Ship of the Line. This feat rivals every other nation and secures Britain the title of Master of the Sea.
The history of HMS Elephant is worth mentioning in this context. This first-rate ship of the line was launched in 1786 and played a significant role in the Battle of Copenhagen in 1801, where it suffered heavy damage. It was later rebuilt and played a crucial part in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, where it served as the flagship of Admiral Lord Nelson's second-in-command, Vice Admiral Cuthbert Collingwood.
With the British Navy's latest achievement, they will continue their blockades, cutting off valuable resources to the French and weakening their forces. As the war rages on, the British will continue to push forward with determination and strength, inspired by the courage and leadership of General Wellesley and the might of their navy.

Episode 7 of Drifter's Napoleon Total War campaign continues the thrilling saga with General Wellesley facing the aftermath of his arrival in Paris, as recounted in the previous episode. Unfortunately, his long-awaited reunion with his army reveals a devastating reality – his forces have been significantly weakened by the relentless onslaught of French rebels. Despite heavy losses, the British have managed to hold onto Paris, but rebuilding their strength, morale, and determination becomes an urgent priority.
General Wellesley himself has endured a tumultuous journey, having been wounded in battle and narrowly escaping two assassination attempts. Suffering from both a gunshot and a stab wound, Wellesley has been recovering in London, awaiting the moment when he can once again lead his troops with vigor and resilience.
Meanwhile, a glimmer of hope emerges on the horizon as rumors spread of the British engaging in groundbreaking research on new weapons. If true, this development could potentially mark a major turning point in the war, bolstering the British army's capabilities and offering a renewed advantage in their battle against the French.
On the home front, the treasury finally shows signs of recovery, pulling itself out of the depths of bankruptcy. This positive shift provides the British forces with a renewed sense of stability, enabling them to focus on rebuilding, rearming, and resupplying their troops.
Episode 7 sets the stage for a critical juncture in Drifter's campaign, as General Wellesley must rise above his wounds, the depleted state of his forces, and the challenges faced in holding Paris. With the treasury recovering and the promise of new weaponry, the British find themselves at a crossroads, where their actions will determine the course of the war. Can Wellesley inspire his troops, rally their spirits, and forge ahead with renewed strength? Only time will tell as the campaign pushes forward in the pursuit of victory.

Part 6: Napoleon Total War
Episode 6 of Drifter's Napoleon Total War series takes an unexpected turn as General Alexander Abercrombie, a key figure in the British campaign, falls in the fierce Battle of Reims. Despite the valiant efforts of Abercrombie and his troops, they faced overwhelming numbers and ultimately succumbed to the enemy. Now, General Wellesley steps forward, fueled by a desire for revenge against the French revolutionists and a determination to carry on the fight.
In a significant victory for the British Navy, they have successfully defeated the French navy, ensuring the enemy vessels meet their watery grave. However, one vessel manages to escape destruction and is subsequently commissioned into the British fleet, bolstering their naval power.
A temporary peace treaty has been brokered with Brittany, an influential region to the east. This arrangement provides a respite and leaves the path southeast wide open, leading directly to the major French stronghold of Strasbourg. With this opportunity at hand, the British forces must focus on blockading the French trade routes by sea and land, effectively suffocating their resources and weakening their position. This strategic move is crucial to prepare for the impending major assault on Strasbourg.
Episode 6 promises to be a pivotal moment in Drifter's campaign, as General Wellesley assumes command, seeking retribution for the fallen Abercrombie. With the British Navy's dominance secured and a temporary truce in place, the path to Strasbourg beckons. The stakes are high as Drifter's forces strategize and execute their plan, aiming to cripple the enemy and pave the way for a decisive victory in their relentless pursuit of triumph.

Part 5: Napoleon Total War
Part 5 of Drifter's Napoleon Total War series as Great Britain picks up with the army's continued focus on pushing south from Brussels into Strasbourg, a major French holdout. General Authur Wellesley has returned from injury, and his presence has boosted morale among his troops. Meanwhile, the British fleet has received aid from the Russian Navy at Chatham docks, where the French fleet was blockading the port near London.
With a new Ship of the Line completed and joining the Armada in Portsmouth, the British plan to split their main fleet into two. Each admiral will focus on raiding enemy trade routes while protecting their own. The goal is to establish new trade routes to increase the budget to fund the war while also managing taxes on the nobility and working class. Conquering new territories could ease the financial burden, but it remains a challenge.
The British must also be mindful of Brittany to the west. Negotiating a temporary peace treaty with them may be a good move at this time while secretly planning an invasion later. Additionally, the British will send out their spies to create a network of information to discover Napoleon's whereabouts.
As the war rages on, the British must continue to strategize and make difficult decisions to achieve victory.

Part 4: Napoleon Total War
In part 4 of Drifter's Napoleon Total War series, the focus shifts towards the efforts of Great Britain in maintaining a balance in their treasury while fighting against the French forces. The recent victory in Riems has given them a strategic advantage, and they now turn their attention to the cities of Brussels, Flanders, and Wallonia.
As they plan their next move, they also have to be mindful of their surroundings. The British forces need to maintain awareness of their position in relation to Brittany in the west, while also preparing to move towards the south into Strasbourg. However, the French fleet's blockade of Chatham docks near London has put a strain on the British economy by hindering trade routes with Russia.
With the British fleet undergoing maintenance in Drydock, the question arises whether the Russian fleet will come to their aid in expelling the French forces from Chatham docks. Despite these challenges, the British forces are determined to defeat Napoleon and emerge victorious in the war.
