Socialism: The Enemy of Christianity with Dr. Jack Graham
Ephesians 6:12 says, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Throughout history, Christianity has been constantly challenged and attacked by dangerous ideologies and wayward societal trends. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. Jack Graham gives a presentation on one of those threats that has risen in popularity in recent years: socialism. He identifies its notable failures around the world, and explains why this ideology is in direct opposition to God’s Word.

A Visit to the Shores of Normandy - Part 2 with Dwight Anderson, Steve Reiter, and Henry Boswell
80 years ago today, many of the brave Allied soldiers who fought to liberate France from the axis of evil were tragically killed by German machine gunfire on the beaches of Normandy. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson continues to share personal memories from his visit to the Normandy American Cemetery in France, where 4,400 of those soldiers are buried. Listen to the inspiring story of an American soldier named Billy Harris, and hear from President Ronald Reagan in 1984, as he commemorated the 40th anniversary of D-Day.
About Today's Guests:
Dwight "Andy" Anderson was the director of Normandy Visitors Service for the American Battle Monuments Commission. During the Dobson’s visit to France, Anderson served as their tour guide and provided a wealth of information.
Steve Reiter is a media production consultant and coach who has worked in internationally syndicated radio for over 22 years. He is also the founder and president of the Never Alone Project, a non-profit organization working to pass legislation that would allow at least one guest in the hospital, with no time limit, to ensure that a loved one would not have to die alone or make medical decisions without assistance. Steve was married to his wife, Elizabeth, who went home to be with the Lord in 2020. They are the parents of two sons.
Henry "Duke" Boswell was a decorated United States Army paratrooper, war veteran and a survivor of combat in World War II. He made four parachute jumps with the 82nd Airborne behind enemy lines in Sicily, Italy, Normandy, and The Netherlands. Boswell landed at Normandy with his fellow soldiers and fought valiantly throughout the D-Day invasion, beginning on June 6th,1944. He went on to serve and fight in the Korean War, where he was seriously wounded by mortar fire. After retiring from the Army as a major in 1963, Boswell moved to Colorado Springs and taught in School District 11. In November 2015, he passed away at the age of 91.

On June 6, 1944, over 150,000 American, British, and Canadian troops stormed the beaches of Normandy to liberate the people of France during World War II, a day now known as D-Day. Trail Ready: Guiding Young Men to Honor God - Part 2 with Guest Mark Hancock
On today’s edition of Family Talk, Gary Bauer concludes his heartfelt discussion with Mark Hancock, the CEO of Trail Life USA, about the serious “tug-of-war” taking place in the family, especially within the relationship of fathers and their sons. Our boys need to know that their dads are there for them, and are invested in their lives. Fathers need to model for their sons the biblical truths on which to stand, and how to live them out. The rewards will prove invaluable for generations to come. Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
About Today's Guest: Mark Hancock
Mark Hancock is the CEO of Trail Life USA, a Christ-centered mentoring and discipleship program for more than 50,000 boys across the country. Mark began his career by founding a national advertising agency, and later served as an associate pastor, homeless ministry director, and global event director. He holds two master's degrees in mental health counseling, having spent a number of years in private practice, and has also taught at secular and Christian colleges. An award-winning writer and conference speaker, Mark lives near Greenville, SC with his wife and two sons.

Trail Ready: Guiding Young Men to Honor God - Part 1 with Guest Mark Hancock
According to Mark Hancock, the CEO of Trail Life USA, we are outsourcing so much within our society, but one thing we cannot outsource is being a dad! Today on Family Talk, Gary Bauer talks with Mark about his new devotional entitled, "Trail Ready: 101 Devotions for Dads with Boys." Gary and Mark discuss the biblical definition of fatherhood, and the destructive societal pitfalls we have been experiencing due to diminishing the integral role that dads play in raising boys. Instead of shaming fathers for what they have not done, we need to remind them of who God created them to be.

Beyond Black Hawk Down - Part 1 with Guest Jeff Struecker
Philippians 4:7 says, “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” It’s one thing to read these words in the Bible, but another to believe them in the midst of war and the threat of imminent death. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson talks with retired Major and Chaplain, Jeff Struecker, about his 22-year career in the U.S. Army. You’ll hear about his first encounter with Jesus through the intentional outreach of his neighbors, and how God then led him to fight bravely for his country. On this special Memorial Day program, Chaplain Struecker gives God all the glory for the supernatural peace he experienced on the battlefields as a survivor of “Black Hawk Down.”

American Principles Project: Fighting for the Family - Part 2 with Guest Terry Schilling
On today’s edition of Family Talk, Gary Bauer concludes his compelling discussion with Terry Schilling, president of American Principles Project. Terry shares what they are doing to defend the American family, and urges us to wake up and heed the warnings foretold in the Bible. If we take God out of the equation, chaos ensues. Romans 1:28-29 says, “Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice.”
About Today's Guest: Terry Schilling
Terry Schilling is the president of American Principles Project. He is responsible for developing and implementing APP’s strategy, messaging and political activity at the state and federal levels. In 2021, he founded their “Big Family Initiative”, which aims to make the family into the most powerful special interest group in Washington, D.C. Terry’s proudest professional accomplishment was managing the successful campaign of his father, former Congressman Bobby Schilling, for U.S. Congress in 2010. Terry is a graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville, and an alumnus of the Claremont Institute’s Lincoln Fellowship. He and his wife, Katie, have seven children and make their home in Virginia.

Tribute to a Praying Mom with Guests Fern and Ty Nichols
Fern Nichols was at her wit's end, trying to deal with a rebellious, wayward son. Though in despair because of Ty's worldly choices, she stayed on her knees in prayer for him. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson speaks with Fern, a former teacher and founder of Moms in Prayer International. Fern understood the power of Deuteronomy 3:22, which declares, "Do not be afraid; the Lord your God Himself will fight for you." Thankfully, Ty was brought to repentance by the undying prayers of his loving mother, and God's promise of mercy and grace. You won’t want to miss this beautiful story of a transformed and abundant life.
About Today's Guest: Fern Nichols
Fern Nichols is an author, former elementary school teacher, and the founder of Moms in Prayer International, a prayer movement that mobilizes women around the world to gather together to pray for their children and the schools they attend. In 1984, Fern was fearful about sending her two eldest children off to junior high. She knew the school would be a battlefield for their hearts and minds. She realized the warfare would be intense and to fight this battle, she needed to invite other mothers to pray. She called one mom and asked her to pray with her for their children and school. Her response was an immediate “yes,” and that was the humble beginning of Moms in Prayer that now spans the U.S. in every state, and is in more than 140 countries. Fern and her husband, Rle, have four grown children and ten grandchildren. Ty Nichols is Fern and Rle's oldest son, and has worked closely with his mom's ministry as a public speaker for many years. He resides in California with his family.
