Back in 2002, a low volume low profit manufacturer called #Porsche took a risky move in a bid to become a bigger player in order to save the company and fund bigger and better sports cars: creating the Porsche #SUV, the Cayenne. And now almost two decades later: the Cayenne has been one of the key sales successes of Porsche, funding the creation of bonkers things like the 918 Spyder Hypercar — a car that set the direction for every hybrid since, including today’s car — The all new facelift #Cayenne S E Hybrid!
The new Cayenne is here, and it’s now much sharper looking outside, and has had a huge upgrade in its interior. More crucially, the Hybrid Version has seen some great improvements that should make living with it even better. The New Cayenne has improved hugely in general terms too, when it comes to power units on offer.
Firstly our previous V6 Cayenne S gets upgraded to a full on V8, much like the GTS and turbo. It’s more powerful than the V6 at 474PS, and obviously brings a lot more emotion to the table. It’s also nice and light at 2160KG!
There’s a model below this with the standard Cayenne, which has a V6 with 350HP. This also serves the basis for the Cayenne E hybrid base model! Speaking of hybrid, our car today is the mid point. In-between E Hybrid and Turbo E, it has a revised 3.0 V6 turbo engine with: 353HP and an 176HP electric motor. Together the system makes 519HP, 750Nm, and 0-60 in 4.5 secs. What’s more impressive is the Electric Range of 90km, which is a massive increase over the previous which only had 48km range!
Much of this is also thanks to the new electric engine, not only do we have more power but it also recuperated up to 88kw as low as 2kmph! The battery is also now a 25.9kw unit, and can be charged fully in 2.5 hours
Check out my other video for the Turbo E Hybrid - the more powerful cayenne ever at 739BHP - way more than the 680 BHP predecessor. Thanks to a reworked V8 in that new hybrid system! And I also drive the GT package version, which is Porsches epic workaround to not being able to have the turbo Gt in some major markets. Link to this is below:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFO43Ou-dho
The Design upgrade on the facelift is big too! Large arched wings, sharper bonnet and body lines. Much more defined rear with greater break up of body parts, and my fave bit: the super sharp matrix lights! The rear is much more sporting, taking a lot of cues from Macan’s sportier character. A Coupe is available once again too, and this model can option a lightweight sports package saving up to 33 kilograms.
Interior upgrades are even bigger, with Taycan inspired large screens on the dashboard. The Driver Zone one is a curved display with a new operating system, and thus all new driver zone screens! These are much better designed than before, and feature more display options like the 5 circles of the 911. The 12.3 inch screen in the middle is the new PCM system with smartphone style UX. Porsche are also apparently the first manufacturer to incorporate new CarPlay features - but I couldn’t deduce what those were on this first drive. Of course, you can also now option a passenger screen too.
Will the V6 convince as a daily alternative to the EV onslaught? And can it hope to bring some of the emotion that made the Turbo E so fun to drive? Let’s find out today!

Here is my all new G87 #BMW #M2 Coupé in a brand new M Individual Paint shade! Behold the Frozen Portimao Blue M2! Collected at BMW Croydon with Tony Lewis aka TRLDeals from instagram! :)
I wish #bmwm had launched the new M2 in this colour! Just like Long Beach Blue of the original, and the Misano Blue. The satin paint work helps showcase the extreme shapes and curves of the M2 wide body much better than any of the gloss colours shown on the car so far. There's also a new Frozen Pure Grey M2 colour available, both of these cost 2K and are well worth it!
Today I'll go over all the spec of the car, including the M Race Track Pack which is a 9k option, but gives you some epic options like: M Carbon Seats, Carbon Interior, Carbon Roof, M Driver's Pack and finally Pirelli P Zero Corsa track tyres. I'll also go over the other options I got like M2 Comfort Package, Driving assistance Pack etc.
We are also going to discuss M Performance parts discussion on the M2. We have a M2 with some of the performance parts and we'll also discuss installing the new centre lock alloys, big wing and some of the carbon parts.
We'll also go for a quick first drive, and go over some of the upcoming content coming for the M2, including some fun with @bmwm themselves! :)

It's the biggest news of my car buying life so far, perhaps even bigger than my GT Black Series and I’ve literally been jumping around with glee for the past month since I got the news! I’ve been desperate to tell you guys about it too, but I didn’t want to do a typical “sit around a configurator with a salesman” yawnfest. Instead we do things the RBR way, as I take you through my full #Porsche car history with some cool throwbacks (you’ll even see my dad 🥹).
Then we will spec my car virtually using VFX, on top of Porsche GB’s newly arrived Spyder RS press car finished in white with the Weissach package! We’ll have a proper look around the press car too, and have a listen to the exhaust note and process air intake noises of the little beast!
How do you get allocation for a Porsche GT car? I want to fill you in on my journey, so you understand how YOU can be in with a chance with these rarer cars too. I’m also going to fill you in on how I go about affording these cars beyond the basics - stuff most people won’t tell you! See my accountant and finance broker details at the top of this description.
Finally, I’m also #shopping for a Cayenne E Hybrid after driving the car in Spain with press. We will take a look at 3 different cars and you can help me chose one! We might also bump into a wild https://youtube.com/@joeachilles1 in the car park!
Super excited about my #NewCar and can’t wait to share the experience of collecting it with you early next year!

First Look at the Caterham V! Ultra Light EV at 1190KG!!
#Caterham represents simplicity of driving in its purest form. But now, that same DNA of simplicityis spawning a sister #sportscar — one trying to start true to that simplicity, while charging on boldly into the #electriccar future.
And that is this - the Caterham V, for now a concept. But as you’ll see, one that doesn’t seem far away from production at all!
But for Caterham lovers, the idea of moving toward electric is very scary - even more so than for us petrolhead lovers of the traditional ICE CAR. Because this shift spells not only the removal of the noisy smelly but glorious manual combustion engine experience - but also the 60 year strong design of the Seven.
But Caterham say this is in addition to a 7, not in replacement of. A car for thrills, and the school run or grocery shop - with room for the kids!
“Simplify, then add lightness”
The ethos that created the original Lotus 7, and 60 years later still defines the Caterham 7. But now on the 50th year anniversary Caterham - is born the Caterham V - a fully electric lightweight sports car.
How true will it remain to Caterham’s original simplify/add lightness motto?
For starters, we have a target weight of 1190kg for the production car. To put this in perspective- the upcoming porsche Boxster ev is rumoured to weight 1700KG. So at least in weight - Caterham staying true to their values!
Inside we have a single 200KW motor, driving only the rear wheels, and a 55KW battery pack producing 268BHP and 0-60 in 4.5 secs! Power to weight somewhat equivalent to a 992 Carrera. The battery gives range of 249miles.
For now with this Concept Car it’s far too early to say if they’re right - but what I can show you today — is every technical detail that makes the V what it is, including it’s electric internals, and the resulting figures of weight, performance and range. And every detail inside and out!

Time to Drive the New #AMGGT 63!! I’m Raz, sometimes known as Mr AMG, and today is finally the day to drive the new #MercedesAMG GT 63!
It’s a car many #AMG fans are super hyped up about, because it stays true to the emotional V8 character that has been a hallmark of the brand for decades. Building upon the Grand Touring side of the car, it now features a 2+2 seating, 4matic all wheel drive, and a much bigger interior and boot.
The V8 engine and gearbox are now mated up front, to free up space for 4matic+ all wheel drive - a first for the GT. It’s always rear biased, up to 100%, and a max of 50% power to the front. The 63 gives the same horsepower as the outgoing AMG GT R at 585BHP, and a 0/60 of 3.2 seconds (we test it at sub 3!). There’s also a GT55 with 476BHP coming soon.
All this sounds very familiar tot he SL with which it shares the same platform and most of the main comportments.
So the car has grown, and has lost the “front mid engine” transaxle layout of the original GT and SLS, along with the perfect 48/52 weight balance. It’s now 1900KG, and on paper reading more like a super saloon.
So because it shares platform, it’s accused by many keyboard warriors of being an SL with a roof. But is that really the case?
AMG head of dynamics Rene Szczepek, filled us in a little on this. First of all, the rear transmission is unique to the GT, which alongside the wider tyres, helps shave 0.6 off the SL’s launch time. Further more, modern components are wholly dependant upon software, and car vary massively dependant on configuration. The GT’s software for ESP, gearbox, steering, engine map — all unique. Most crucially the semi active roll stabilisation uses hydraulic pumps instead of roll bars, saving weight and helping create a unique character. Speaking of character - the exhaust note is simply orgasmic, with a very different note to the SL.
But will it be enough? Can this first Grand Tourer version ever hope to live up the old pure sports car? Let’s find out today!

It’s finally time to drive the new #BMW #5series! In top dog form, in the new EV i5 “M60” from #bmwm with almost 600BHP. That’s all good and well - but is it still a proper 5er? Or has it lost the charm?
Our new G60 5 series is for the first time a pure electric car, alongside a number of combustion engine variants available, and plug in hybrids coming soon. The great thing is the design of all of them is identical!
On the EV side, we have the entry level i5 eDrive40 and the range topping M60 Xdrive. I’ll show you both of these today, and we will drive the later!
The M60 is the most powerful current with 598BHP, 820NM and 0-60 in 3.8 seconds! Range comes from an 81.2KW battery, and the claimed mile are 315 — if it gets anywhere near this, we are on to a winner! Of course you can charge 156KM in 10 mins, thanks to fast charging.
As for the motor - it’s a 5th Generation E Drive technology with a motor that is smaller but able to provide very high power density. This means it takes less space and weight, while giving more power! That unit houses the electric motor, power electronics and transmission all in one.
The M60 has two of these, for xdrive all wheel drive — whereas the eDrive40 is red only.
Chassis wise, we have the wheel slip limiter closer to actuator for super quick reactions, sport steering, rear wheel steering, and our car today has the all important “adaptive pro chassis option”. This comes standard on the M60, and it has the typical electronically controlled shock absorbers BUT most crucially anti roll stabilisation! They should make a big difference in dynamics with this heavier car.
Inside, we’ve ripped off the 7 series in the best of ways with the new interactive light bar. Today, I’ll show you the M60 specific things in the interior, if you want a more in-depth check out my first look at the 5 series:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nh0DhrTn7W0
We’ll also discuss the New M5 - the V8 which is Hybrid Powered, likely using the set up that debuted in the XM.
Beyond all this, the most important thing today is the drive. How quick is the launch control? How are the dynamics vs rivals like Taycan and EQE? What are the electric sounds like? Is it an electric M5? Let’s find out today!

2023 All-New Cayenne Turbo w/ GT PACKAGE! A Proper Old School V8!
Thanks to MANSCAPED for sponsoring today’s video! Get 20% OFF + Free International Shipping with my promo code “RBR” at https://manscaped.com/removebeforerace.
The new #porsche Cayenne is here, and it also brings along the most powerful Cayenne ever - with the new Porsche #Cayenne Turbo E Hybrid.
The top dog of the Cayenne range, like last time, is the Turbo GT - that car is a pure V8, with specific suspension and dynamics, engine tune and sound, weight saving measures and a unique body style.
But this model is no longer available in most of Europe, UK, Japan and some other territories because of local regulations and emissions
Now most manufacturers would have given up, especially when a car like the normal Turbo E Hybrid exists with 739PS
But not Porsche.
Staying true to their identity of a sports car maker, they’ve gone the extra mile and created an apology for those territories in the form of the “GT Package”.
It’s around 20k more than the normal Turbo E, and comes with much of the magic of the GT.
It’s massively powerful at 739PS, has an impressive electric range of 80km in town, and one of the best soundtracks you’ll hear in a modern car from the gt pack titanium tips.
In this Package, all chassis and control systems, including the air suspension, are specifically tuned like the Turbo GT. The car sits 10mm lower, GT-specific pivot bearings increase the camber on the front axle by -0.58 degrees, It has wider front wheels by 0.5 inches and finally a Lightweight battery too!
All in, 100KG lighter thank the Turbo E at 2450kg! Which actually means it’s almost identical to a X5M competition.
But, perhaps all that glitters is not gold. Every performance hybrid I’ve ever driven has been too heavy, and wildly overcompensating this with an outrageous horsepower figure. Things seem much of the same here, with a car that’s much heavier than the normal Cayenne albeit more powerful.
If this just another heavy hybrid we don’t really want? Or have Porsche made what might be the only big performance hybrid in the world to actually be dynamic?
Let’s find out in today’s first drive of the Turbo E with GT pack!

AMG’s SL43 Finally Driven - Why AMG, Oh Why??

Welcome back to RBR guys! And to The NEW #MercedesAMG SL 43 - a car that really peaks my curiosity and gives me anxiety! Why? Because this is a car where AMG have removed their AMAZING V8, and replaced it with a 4 cylinder engine.
I’ve been trying to drive this for over a year, as there have been no reviews on it - As your Mr AMG and general AMG addict, the new V8 SLs are my favourite AMGs currently on sale, next to the new AMG GT. But the thing I loved most about those cars, WAS the V8! So what is a car that removes all that emotion, going to be like? Having violent flashbacks of the C63? I am too.
So as you know, the SL is now totally made by AMG. So where in the past you had a Mercedes Benz SL 500 or SL 350 - or even the SLK or SLC - those entry level cars no longer exist. In replacement, is an AMG version - the SL 43.
As it’s totally AMG made, the car benefits from a lot of what makes the V8s great like the standard AMG ride control suspension, active aerodynamics, 9 speed multi clutch gearbox, and all of the interior benefits. What it doesn’t share however, is the 4matic system, instead we have the only rear wheel drive SL you can get at the moment, which helps saved weight alongside the engine of around 50kg.
Then the engine, we first reviewed in the C43. Which was a car I really enjoyed. Rather than the Mercedes built v6 of the past, this is a one man one engine hand built engine, shared with the new C63. That means it gets the engine plaque by the engine builder. This was the first road car to integrate the E-Turbo - a turbo charger with an electric motor derived from F1.
The electric motor drives the turbocharger before the exhaust gases get a chance to - making this feel extremely responsive! That paired with the M139L 4cyl engine makes a confusing 381 BHP, 480NM and a 0-60 of 4.9 seconds. Why is this de-powered vs our other 43 cars? Makes zero sense in a 100k car.
The Roof is the new fold vario roof, soft top like the GT Roadster of the past, and 21kg lighter than the old hard top able to be retracted at speeds up to 37MPH. Design wise, it is quite close to the V8 versions - in standard it get’s it’s own front end and you get round pipes as opposed to the bigger ones of the V8s. And in other territories you can get the AMG dynamic plus pack, with active engine mounts, electric rear slip diff, race mode, lower suspension and yellow calipers - which is what our car today has.
On paper, it’s kind of like going to McDonald’s, and ordering a cheeseburger, and taking out the patty. Sure it’s healthier, and a little cheaper - but how satisfied are you going to be at the end of that meal??
Today we’re going to see just how much emotion and AMG character remains in this bright Sun Yellow car - by checking out how well it’s spec’d, testing the exhaust sound, the dynamics and the open top experience!
Up next on on RBR is the new Cayenne Turbo E Hybrid Facelift and MUCH MUCH More!! Subscribe to support us and see them first. :)

The GLC finally gets its full #MercedesAMG version, with this new #GLC6S E Performance - and despite looking absolutely epic, and with equally impressive figures on paper — it’s a car many are already not very happy with.
AMG customers are a confused, frustrated and sometimes bitter bunch these days. And most of the reason for that can be directed at this car; the new C63, which ditched its V8 in favour of half the cylinders of a 4 pot engine and rear mounted electric engine - the exact same formula used by this GLC. So you can understand the apprehension. I myself also concluded that the C63 although a capable car — simply didn’t deserve the name C63, and should have been called something else.
The new GLC 63 thus has an uphill battle, which ironically might be easier for an SUV. Today we’ll check out every detail of the glc 63, discuss the new 43, and coupe versions too, and finally go for a first drive and see — is it as soulless as we are rightly assuming title be, or does this somehow work better? Let’s find out!
The Previous car was hugely popular, because it was basically a C63 hooligan on stilts - with that hunk of a 510 HP V8 paired to the clever 4matic+ AWD. It was one of the first to adopt the GT R’s mean face too, so always looked the part, and backed it up with results - being the fastest 4x4 on the Nurburgring for almost all of it’s lifecycle.
Our new GLC 63 E - is just as good looking. As is the GLC 43, which looks identical from this angle. This is a new trend which I think we will see continue into cars like the CLE 53, sharing the same body as the top version.
We will take a closer look at our car, which is the aero pack version - and some wildly different ones too. Like our Patagonia red car here without aero, and with carbon package. Or in the base version in the spectral blue car, where you have aluminium trims, and these lovely silver wheels that remind me of the EQ ones but just more aggressive!
Remember, you can also get the GLC 63 Coupe too, and the GLC 43 coupe! Both which I’ll show you.
Let’s now discuss the elephant in the room - while this might look like a McDonald’s cheeseburger, it is in fact a McPlant. Looks the same, performs the same job, healthier - but smack all the sauce you want on it - it ain’t the original! This is the issue AMG fans have.
Again we have the M139L 4 cyl engine, with the MGU H electric gas turbocharger from the AMG ONE. It pumps out insane power, at 476BHP by itself. Then add the electric engine, that sits with the 6.1KW performance battery derived from F1 - and this thing produces 100 HP continuously, or 200 at peak for 10 seconds.
That makes the total output 680BHP, 1020NM and a sprint to 60 of 3.5 seconds!! Yeah the system adds 300kg, so the car weighs 2310kg total. That’s around 300 more than the old car, hence why we have to horsepower to counter this. But unlike the C63 we have more than power to counter the weight. We have a clever thing from the S63 : an electric anti roll stabilisation system! This is the thing that made the S63 kick the GT63’s ass dynamically despite being heavier.
Of course we also have the usual AMG Ride control suspension, a 9 speed multi clutch gearbox, and finally the brilliant 4matic+ awd system, which can send 100% power to the rear.
There is a model underneath this too - the GLC 43. And benefits from almost everything I just mentioned, except for the anti roll system - which it might not need being that much lighter at just 2 tonnes!
This has the same engine but without the P3 system - and a smaller E Turbo unit. Regardless, it still produces 421 BHP, and a little boost of 14hp from the belt starter generator. 500Nm and a sprint to 60 of 4.8 seconds.
This might be the best model to get, but we will have to wait for the future to test it! As for today, will this be the disappointment the C63 was, or can the SUV make more sense of the formula?

SL63 and SL55 - The Best and Loudest AMGs in YEARS! / Full review
🌏 Get Exclusive NordVPN deal here ➼https://nordvpn.com/rbr. It's risk-free with Nord’s 30-day money-back guarantee! ✌
The new #MercedesAMG #SL is the best car that #AMG currently make! It’s got a V8 that sounds incredible, it’s fast and dynamic, and it’s utterly gorgeous inside and out. But, it’s a car that is really misunderstood. Because even though the History of the SL is an illustrious one, it’s one that just isn’t linear in evolution, certainly nothing like the Porsche 911.
Today is the Ultimate review for the SL, which means we’re going to cover its full history, and then drive both V8 models in the SL55 and the SL63! Heck we will even drive the 300 SL, and compare to the 911 for good measure!
The SL is now Built by AMG making the SL for the first time in its 70 year history, an AMG only vehicle, just like the SLS and GT. But the new SL - has a very difficult job. Not only must it make sense of the varied and confused history of a sometimes sporty, mostly boaty, 2 or 4 seater - it also has the job of replacing the GT Roadster, and the S63 Cab which are now history!
Big shoes for any car to fill. So how did AMG go about it? First thing is design - heavy AMG GT inspiration, and other Mercedes coupes. New body shell is more rigid than the outgoing AMG GT roadster that it replaces, as it uses intelligent material composition of aluminium, steel, magnesium and fibre for rigidity.
The drivetrain itself feels like a condensed E63/GT63 format - so not a rear-transaxle like the GT, rather 4matic all wheel drive paired to the V8 and 9 speed MCT gearbox in the front. The V8 is the one found in the new AMG GT, S63, GT63 et all - the trusty 4.0 bi turbo V8 with two power levels:
SL55: 469 BHP, 700NM, 0-60 3.7
SL63: 585 BHP, 800NM, 0-60 3.5
The roof returns to fabric top like the 300SL, so a lighter z-fold three layer roof, operable up to 37 MPH. It has noise insulation and a heated rear screen, and maintains a much better side profile than the previous car, which it’s also 21kg lighter than.
The 55 gets adaptive steel suspension, whereas the 63 gets electronic limited slip diff and AMG active ride control suspension - This gives two additional hydraulic elements and control over all four spring struts, pump and valves allows for a wide roll spring rate. And more crucially, semi active roll stabilisation as seen in the new AMG GT.
To try and understand the SL’s so called new direction - we will also go through its full history detailing:
- The original w194
- 300 SL coupe and Roadster
- 190 SL roadster
- R113 SL Pagoda
- R107 SL
- R129 SL
- SL60 AMG, SL73 (engine from Pagani Zonda)
- R230
- SL65 Black Series
- R231 SL
- AMG GT
We will also see how the SL fairs with kids, fitting a teenager and a toddler in the back. And I’ll give you a full run down of the interior, including tech like massaging seats, and the amazing digital light projection.
Mercedes have also started a customisation or PTS program called “Manufaktur programme” for the SL - allowing customers to have Paints, and unique interiors - which I’ll fill you in on!
Other reviewers have missed the point, because they’re not AMG customers - yes this might be a bigger and quite expensive new car that is not as dynamic as a 911 - BUT DOES IT BRING THE AMG EMOTION?! That’s all AMG customers care about! We will find out today!

2024 E-Class ALL Terrain! First Drive in the Tough Luxury Wagon!
The All Terrain E-Class video is sponsored by Ridge! Go to www.ridge.com/rbr and save up to 10% OFF, or use code RBR!
A tougher and rougher #EClass Wagon with a dedicated off-road driving mode, more standard options and it’s also available in the USA!! :)
The AT comes standard with 4matic all wheel drive in every engine variant, and with Airmatic air suspension on the front and rear axles - with adaptive damping ADS+ at each individual wheel, minimising any shocks to the body and interior.
The off-roading #MercedesBenz has a dedicated OFF ROAD mode, which has 46mm greater ground clearance, and unique engine map, suspension set up, ESP and steering! Further more, in the new generation MBUX we get unique driving mode screens as first seen in the New GLC, this includes a dedicated screen in the main superscreen — it gives steering angle, angle of terrain, compass, and more. And it also has the “invisible bonnet” function, where you can get the heads up on what’s underneath the car’s front end.
The design of the newE Class seeks to build a bridge between the combustion and the EV cars. That’s super obvious with the front grille and its black panel, as well as the connected rear light. In the All Terrain, we get a unique double louvre grille too - oh and an illuminated grille you can use while driving! You will spot #mercedes stars everywhere around the car, even in the new rear light graphic.
The AT also has black plastic extended arches and off road side side sills, which pair with a front and rear bumper with some off-road design too. The best bit are the wheels in my opinion, looking really sporty!
The interior features the new MBUX super screen and the dedicated driver unit. VS the horrid EQ hyper screen, the screen sits much lower thus reducing bulk and making it look sportier. The new MBUX 3 is updated to allow it to hear you without saying “Hey Mercedes” and thanks to a new API, developers can make apps - like Angry Birds or Zoom!
The All Terrain has a braked towing capacity of 2100kg - which means it could towe an average elephant, or the C63S 4 cylinder. Heh. ;_;
As for engines, we have three available:
200d 4Matic - 200PS, 440NM
300de Plug in - 312HP, 700NM, EL Range: 85/102
450 6cyl - 381, 500NM
I’m driving the 200 Diesel —it’s been eye opening how good the new ages Mercedes diesels are. Mild hybrid makes them responsive, the sound is refined, and it’s never short of power. The MPG was also extremely impressive, and with 4matic and air suspension of the AT makes for a great daily package.
If you want to see what the 6 cylinder E450 is like, check my first drive video below:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcCaF8BOngc (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcCaF8BOngc)
But today what we really want to see is how good is this as a daily car, in terms of keeping up with the standard E Class — and does it make sense as an occasional off roader? Let’s find out!

CLE 450 Coupe Driven! The Best Mercedes-Benz? + AMG News!
This CLE 450 Drive is sponsored by Ridge! Go to https://ridge.com/rbr and save up to 10% off or use code "RBR"! And for an entry to win a Hennessey Ford Bronco or $75K through September 30th!
Spoiler - the 4 Series is going to have trouble against this one! The new #CLE Coupe is a gorgeous replacement to both C Coupe and E Coupe in the #MercedesBenz line up! This alongside the new AMG GT, are now the only 2 door coupes the company sells — so they have a lot of burden on them as the only options available.
The CLE starts things off on the right foot, with a gorgeous design taking more from #mercedes’ sporty coupe heritage, rather than the “pillar less” luxury coupes of the part, and thanks to it’s muscle it almost looks like a w205 C63 coupe — and that’s just the standard car!
Then the powertrains, again we’re off to a great start - this is the CLE 450, with an inline 6 Cylinder engine, and 4matic all-wheel-drive! The CLE sounds good with this engine, particularly when you active the internal sound experience called “progressive sport mode”, which magnifies the engine sound for the interior occupants! I’ll show you this later, you’ll love it! This produces 381BHP and a 0-60 of 4.4 seconds.
The CLE has to satiate both C Coupe and E Coupe customers — for C Class fans, it’s still a sporty and dynamic car, but with much more tech, luxury and refinement than it’s ever had before, including things like rear wheel steering (the only one in class!), massaging seats, and adaptive sport suspension. For the E Class fans, you get a car as big, or larger than the previous both outside and in - and tech that largely reflects what you get in the new W214.
But, for the most part, the CLE really looks more like a C Class rather than the new E Class, but that’s not a bad thing in this journalist’s opinion. It’s nice to see that it’s not bloated in weight vs the rivals too, with the CLE weighing in at around 1900KG, it matches the 440i xdrive.
Mercedes once tried this with the CLK in the past, but the build quality then as not up to scratch — and now technology has come far enough that a car can be both sporty and luxurious without sacrificing on either! Indeed both BMW and Audi have also employed this strategy successfully with both the 4 series and A5, so it makes sense.
Engines wise, we will also get a host of 4 Pots ranging from 200HP in the CLE 200 and 220d to 258HP in the CLE 300. Plug ins are coming later, expect them to match the current C and E. There is a Cabriolet too, but this doesn’t benefit from the plug ins, not rear wheel steering.
What about the AMGs then? There are enough spy photos and videos to now make an educated guess on these! Firstly, I think the entry level model will be a CLE 53, and I think it’ll use a new AMG 6 cylinder unit, probably getting close to 500BHP. As for CLE 63, I think it will have the 4 cylinder battery/combustion hybrid like the C63, likely producing 680BHP in a 2.2 tonne thing. The great thing from what I can see however - is that they both seem to share the wide body AMG design! Which means if you only want the emotional 6 cylinder entry level car, you’ll still get the full design experience!
Today however is the first test drive of the new CLE - so I really want to see how a standard Mercedes Benz will stack up in the modern age against excellent cars available at rival houses. Will we have to rely on an AMG to have fun, or is this standard car good enough to put a smile on my face? Let’s find out. :)

RIP Mercedes? BMW's Flawless Victory with the New 7 Series i7!
New 7er!! Don’t miss your chance to get 15% off Carly! Just click this link and my discount code “RBR23” will be automatically applied to your order (valid until 31 October): https://bit.ly/Carly_RBR
You can use Carly’s scanner and free version of the app with any car that has an OBD2 port. Visit mycarly.com to check if advanced features, like coding or manufacturer-level diagnostics, will work with your car. Some features are only available with their yearly license.
This is #BMW’s 7th Generation of #7Series, aka G70 - and with that nice symmetry comes the biggest change - a fully electric version available from launch, in a design that’s the same as the combustion version!
And in generation 7, certainly in the #electriccar, the BMW has finally beat Mercedes’ unattractive offering in the EQS. And it’s not a simple beating, it’s a full on massacre. How? I’m going to show you every detail that makes this car a hugely attractive luxury car in both standard version, and how it can be a Rolls Royce level ownership prospect thanks to the 28K ultimate package on this car. Then, the way this thing drives thanks to the tech hiding under this blocky body - one thing that we will have a moan about!
BMW have taken a different direction to their rival in the march to diversifying their line up with electric. Look at both the i4 and the new 5 Series - both cars that look identical to their combustion counterparts, so you choose what your powertrain is — not sacrificing your taste in design for an aerodynamic bar of soap
Same is true of the 7 Series - though, design isn’t perfect. I mean it’s not EQS ugly, and it looks much more like a Rolls Royce, a big old boat. But still hard to love.
It’s longer, wider and taller than the predecessor model - but with a much more luxury focus than ever before. We have crystal headlights with Swarovski, bmw iconic glow grille, auto doors, a cinema screen — this car is insane!
The Car is built in Dingolfing plant - where electric and combustion are built side by side. It has standard-fit two-axle air suspension and the optional Integral Active Steering - rear steering up to 3.5 degrees. Our car has active roll stabilisation function, included as part of the optional Executive Drive Pro, now uses a 48V electric motor.
Our i7 today is the XDrive 60 M Sport Pro - with 544 BHP, 4.7 secs to 70 and a range of 387 miles. Base price is 110k, and there’s no equivalent available at Mercedes.
I’ll also cover the xDrive 50, crazy M70 XDrive, and the plug-in hybrid. (and the USA and China mild hybrid combustion variants in both petrol and diesel) And we will also go over the different trims, like Excellence Trim, M Sport and M Sport Pro and even the Two Tone Paint Work.
The best part though is the £6000 Individual “Gran Lusso” interior and the £28,000 “Ultimate Package” — with the famous 31.3inch folding BMW Theatre Screen, Bowers & Wilkins crystal speakers, and executive recounting rear seat!!
There’s so much to show in the interior, like the automatic opening doors, the M Sport Boost paddle, the amazing My Modes ambient lighting… way too much to write here!
So instead you have one of the biggest and longest RBR videos every to go over it all. :)

2023 A35 AMG Driven : Better than the A45?!

The new #Mercedes A Class facelift is one that’s pretty hard to spot, unless you’re a Mercedes fanatic like me. In fact, the model that sees the LEAST changes is #MercedesAMG’s A45 S, which externally gets new lights and nothing else! Even the standard A Class gets a new front at least…
The opposite of the new A35 - it’s the model with the biggest changes outside! Most obvious is the #AMG specific grille, finally giving this awesome entry level car the face of the rest of its siblings. The 35 AMG also gets a the same bonnet as the A45x with bonnet bulges/power domes, new wheels and a new front apron!
A few new paints are available now - like Spectral Blue, and rose gold. Germany also gets more wheels and interior choices, and RED CALLIPERS, as shown in the video.
As for the Interior - a big MBUX update with a much faster system and an AMG side more akin to the new SL. This includes the supersport driving zone and the epic AMG drive select buttons on the steering wheel.
As before the A35 has a 2.0 4 pot turbo engine, with a twin scroll turbocharger producing 360HP, and 400NM. But now with the addition of a belt starter generator or RSG, with a 48 Volt system — we have a bit of hybrid support, which means adding 14hp and 150NM in certain conditions giving us a more responsive engine!
0-60 is pegged at the same 4.7, but we test it much faster — partly thanks to the new gearbox. The A35 previously used the 7 Speed dual clutch Speedshift transmission. Now the A35 uses the 8 Speed DCT from the A45, including the Race start launch control!
The 4matic AWD system is unchanged, with a 50/50 power split depending on how you drive.
I’ll share some specing advice too - the UK comes with 3 trims starting at 46k: Executive, Premium and Premium Plus. The later being our car, at rrp £50,825. This version gives Aero Pack, Black Wheels, Pano roof, upgraded lights, Passenger memory seats, 360 cam, head up display, and MBUX assistant - highly recommended.
(But a similar car in Germany costs over 70K euros. Yikes! For 63K you get a fully spec’d A45S in the UK)
Are the changes enough to warrant buying this facelift car? And does it still sound good in its updated form? Let’s go for a drive and find out! :)
—— MODS:
I mentioned mods you can do to the A35: my partner in the video for this work is RJ Automotive. RJ can do tonnes more than what I’ve shown, including adding race mode and exhaust flap button in A35, the AMG Screens on steering wheels, supplying parts and much more! Use my link: https://invi.tt/JRRD

New Mercedes CLE Cabriolet is a Muscular 6 Cylinder Drop Top! 2023 First Look
The New CLE Cabriolet video is sponsored by Ridge! Go to https://ridge.com/rbr and save up to 10% off or use code "RBR"! And for an entry to win a Hennessey Ford Bronco or $75K through September 30th!
The only Cabriolet in the #MercedesBenz line up - the CLE has a lot to live up to, as it has to succeed two big sellers in the C Class and E Class cabriolets! Much like the coupe version, the new #CLE Cabrio takes the best parts from the new C Class, with luxury and internal dimensions to match the old E Class. The idea is to give C Class customers more practicality, tech and luxury — while providing E Class drivers with the sportiness they’ve missed out on!
The best thing? Unlike the new C Class, the CLE benefits from a range topping 6 Cylinder engine with 381HP and some emotion, and a host of other diesel and petrol 4 pots — but no plug in hybrids. Rumour has it that the CLE 53 might wind up as a 6 Cyl for our AMG too, something I will show you in spy shot form as the CLE 63 in today’s video. :)
#Mercedes has done the idea of this “CLE” before, with the predecessor CLK car. To be fair, if you go far back enough, the W124 Cabrio pretty much also served as the only mid size cabriolet option. The CLK kind of fell on it’s face, not because the idea was bad, but because build quality was lacking and we didn’t have tech good enough to merge both sportiness and luxury without sacrificing one or the other.
The CLE makes no compromises. In terms of body, it is longer and wider than both C and E and as wide as the later. The Interior is totally C Class, but that’s because that is the sportier of the two, more driver focused with the centre screen pointing to the driver. The CLE Cabriolet benefits with more unique features like the front tilting screen as seen in the Mercedes AMG SL, unique rear bench ambient lighting much like Maybach cars, standard Air Scarf and Air Cap, and Napa leather areas standard. While your boot is smaller than the coupe, it’s as big as the outgoing E Cabrio - and comes standard with an electrically operated load area.
The roof is a multi later concept, with high sound deadening and thermal insulation — it can open in 20 seconds and up to speeds of 60kmh - more than the previous cars. Let’s check out the whole car in this first look today, and see what we make of it!

Last V8! AMG's E63S is a Future Classic, but should you buy one?
E63 Final Review is Sponsored by Manscaped! Huge thanks to them - Get 20% OFF + Free International Shipping with code “RBR” at https://manscaped.com/removebeforerace.
HAMMER - the nickname that became synonymous with the Original E Class Sized AMG in the W124 series. Not just because it was a 200K sleeper that would make Ferrari Testarossa drivers cower in the slow lane - but thanks to the bombastic V8 units under the hood that would hit like a hammer.
The news of the V8's return to the #E63 was recently debunked by AMG's CEO, so for now, it seems like the current #mercedesamg E63 S may well be the last to have the power unit linking to the original beast, and every E AMG since.
Today, we ask the question if this gen of E63 is a future classic, and if we should buy one and hold on to it! We will also celebrate this final V8 E63, as it’s been the best generation of this car ever. And I’m also going to share with you the best mods you can do to extract the potential of your E Class too!!
This generation of E63 has been one of the best, if not the best. It was the first mainstream performance sedan to introduce switchable 4WD to RWD drift mode, thanks to the decoupling of the front axle. A move quickly mimicked by rivals like the M5, and to this day not matched by Audi and others. It was the only one in segment to have dynamic engine mounts, which for the longest time made it the most dynamic of the segment.
In fact, for its entire lifetime of 8 years, the E63 Wagon sat as the king of the Nurburgring as the world’s quickest wagon. Only recently dethroned by the M3 Touring.
The engine is superior, one of the world’s best in the 4.0 twin scroll bi turbo engine making 612BHP, 850NM and 0-60 in 3.5 — also in pre-facelift E63. It also has the engine on rivals with it’s gearbox, the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G with a wet multi-plate start-off clutch, instead of the slow torque converters of rivals. It’s an engine and gearbox combo that will remain relevant for years to come too, as the Euro 7 version will be based on this one, and will last a decade at least!
This is the final edition, and is technically identical to the standard E63 S. Unique points include the Magno Graphite paint work, final edition livery, and a unique wheel finish of chrome with black. The Afflaterbach badge also finds its way on the c pillar - all mimicking the C63 final edition. The interior is also unique.
MODS
———
Now, let’s move on to mods!! One problem with my car, is like every other one in the UK — it came delivered with the basic LED headlights. While not looking so different, their performance at night is mildly pathetic. And on your E63, it seems insane to have the basic lights, all thanks to chip shortage.
So, naturally, I upgraded them. And I’m going to show you how you can do it too - along with a tonne of basic mods I’ve done on my E63, which can be done on most Mercedes cars! You won’t want to miss this.
⁃Multibeam upgrade
⁃Disable Exhaust Flap
⁃Lane change reactivated
⁃Ambient light dynamic select
⁃Dynamic select stupid screen
⁃Energising Comfort ✅
My partner in the video for this work is RJ Automotive. RJ can do tonnes more than what I’ve shown, including adding race and drift mode in E53, AMG Screens on steering wheels, supplying parts and much more! Use my link: https://invi.tt/JRRD
Or use the code "RBR" on his website to get a 5% flat discount! He serves people worldwide, so don’t worry about location! :)
So, this era of car reached a peak of technological efficiency - where the engine, gearbox, suspension, tech etc is all the best it’s ever been. Is that along side with the V8 enough to make this a classic? And if so should you get a facelift or not? Let’s find out!

2024 Mercedes AMG GT 63! The V8 Coupe Hero of AMG! First Look
V8 Coupe Perfection, with a Black Series Face! Say hello to the saviour of #MercedesAMG, our new #AMGGT coupe!!
It is mind blowing, looking exactly like my GT Black Series on the front - when #AMG are left to their own devices on design, they knock this stuff out the park!
Launching first is a GT63 and GT55, which are both PURELY V8 Powered only, and it’s the sportiest AMG in the line-up. But with this new GT, the formula has changed in in a big way. Now it comes standard as a 4matic+ all wheel drive car for the first time, and its practicality is doubled with a rear bench and shared interior with the SL, and a much bigger boot!
And there’s a lot more shared with the SL - The previous GT was a “rear transaxle” layout. This is where our transmission, rear diff and rear axle are all in one assembly. With the carbon torque tube connected to the engine. Gave the car a 47/53 weight distribution.
Now, the engine and gearbox are mated up front, to free up space for 4matic+ and rear wheel steering - and huge doses of practicality with a 2+2 4 seater format, and a massively enlarged boot.
The tech is largely modified from SL, but to create a significantly sportier car - so we use the aluminium rigid composite body, but made further rigid in the coupe. But unlike SL, the GT in both 55 and 63, use more dynamic set up for all other components. So we have active engine mounts as standard, electronic rear diff standard, an all new sportier ESP system, active aerodynamics taken from the learnings in AMG GT R. AMG’s Active ride control suspension is further honed here with stiffer spring rates, semi active anti roll stabilisation, new valves and piston diameters, and an optional aerodynamic package with fixed wing for more downforce.
The GT also gets race mode with drift mode as standard, as the car features a different rear transmission to the SL - which helps it sprint faster too. Performance wise, the GT63 Coupe sits at 585BHP, 800NM and sprints so 60 in 3.2 secs. The GT55 has 476BHP, 700NM and 3.9 to 60. The engine pairs to the 9 speed MCT - multi clutch gearbox with wet start off clutch.
The car doesn’t have the perfect weight balance of its predecessor, instead siting at 53/47 front to rear, and it’s significantly heavier at 1970KG. Though, it’s undoubtedly more of a daily car now, with 4matic+, more space and tech, and the 2+2 configuration.
Let’s see what you think of it today, we’ll also compare it design wise to the old AMG GT R and Black Series, as well as the SL! :)

New E450 Driven! Mini S-Class with E53 Sound! + AMG News
The 2023 E-Class First Drive Video is Sponsored by MANSCAPED!! Get 20% OFF + Free International Shipping with my promo code “RBR” at https://manscaped.com/removebeforerace
Such a long and storied heritage for the mid size #MercedesBenz saloon. Arguably their most popular segment, it’s always been modern, but traditional #Mercedes too - serving everyone from the businessman, to the taxi driver, to the performance car driver. And our new #EClass is aiming even higher - and today we will see how it drives in this new W214 Gen!!
Today we drive the E450 4matic 6 cylinder car! It’s a 400bhp very mild hybrid that is the cream of the crop for E class, including air suspension, AND give us some idea about future AMGs, which I have some updated news about - got a bit of a surprise in terms of sports sound that I can’t wait to show!!
We’ll also have a go in a plug-in hybrid which is massively more useful in this gen - we will drive the E300e 4Matic Plug in! It features 313HP and more crucially - 100KM of electric only range from the 25.4KW battery! I’ll also go over the other model variants such as the E200, E200d, and E400e Plug in.
In terms of design, we are going to go through all the main specs today including the Classic S Class style grille design, AMG line, and the main paint and wheel options — as how you spec this car can vary the look massively.
Today we will also check out the newly unveiled E Class Estate or Wagon model! It is now designed more as a shooting brake, while maintaining the boot space of the previous model. It looks stunning with the larger 21 inch wheels in arctic grey - and we will check out the boot space of the plug in version of this too. It’s slightly heavier by about 80KG, and does not get the rear wheel steer like the saloon - but it does get aromatic suspension on the rear axle as standard.
We will go over the Suspension - you get either steels or you can the technology package as an option. All-round AIRMATIC air suspension system with ADS+ continuously adjustable damping and rear-axle steering 4.5 degrees.
The interior is next level - I hated the photos but in reality it’s probably the best Mercedes has made. The new “Superscreen” is a reduced hyper screen, with a dedicated driver zone screen, and a much lower sportier “floating” dash. The interior has amazing things like digital air vents, dolby atmos, Passenger screen blocking function, a voice assistant that’s always on, and some of the most stunning ambient lighting you’ll ever see.
Then we will discuss AMG - apparently the E53 will come with a 6 cylinder this time! Hurray!! It will look awesome, and come in both wagon and saloon. We will also discuss the E63’s future.
Today we explore:
- Saloon Exterior Design AMG Line
- New E Class Estate
- Suspension
- Engine Options - Mild Hybrid or Plug in
- New AMG E53 6 Cylinder Render and details
- AMG E63 future?
- Interior review

2023 Brabus G63 6x6 G900: The $1.5M Off-road Beast! First look!
The RETURN of the 6X6 video is sponsored by Ridge! Go to https://www.ridge.com/rbr and save up to 10% off, or use code RBR!
Perhaps the most recognisable Brabus of all time - the Six by Six G Wagon! Did you know, well over HALF of the last gen 6x6 cars were converted to #Brabus , which is why some people still think they were involved in the creation of the beast in the first place!
This actually isn’t true - in the last generation, the G63 6x6 was created partly using the Australian Army version of the 6 wheeler - modified then by AMG to create the iconic vehicle. In Right Hand Drive format, the only ones ever available were Brabus conversions!
Fast forward to thew new Gen, and Mercedes AMG have made a G63 4x4 Squared, but there is no intention to make a 6 wheeler probably because they’re afraid of the climate change lobbyists. Enter the #Supercar Factory of Dreams - Brabus! Don’t think they have simply taken AMG’s Squared and added a rear - that is NOT the case.
Instead Brabus have used their tried and tested “XLP Adventure” platform, and created a whole new rear for this beast! It features two rear axles with independent suspension, and a new suspension set up created with KW Suspension. It features 2 dampers PER WHEEL on the rear, and 2 in the front - so that’s TEN in total! This required two brains to control the damping, a first for even KW to tackle - So cool. The furthest axle disengages for normal driving to keep the drive as G Wagon as possible, and then reactivates when you use the locking differentials to off-road.
One of the coolest features is the tyre pressure control - you can do it sitting in the car!! All thanks to the compressed air tanks sitting in the rear between the wheels - just choose your desired pressures or off road mode, and they’ll change in a matter of seconds.
In terms of performance, they do what they say on the tin: The G800 produces 800HP, and G900 gives 900HP, with 1000NM and 1250NM respectively. But the G900 features Brabus’ ultimate V8, the bored out 4.5 litre V8!
Of course there are tonnes more details that I’ll show you in both the G800 and G900, such as the extravagant Brabus Masterpiece interior - for which every part is hand crafted at the factory. And we will listen to the exhaust too!
Today we explore:
- Brabus G800 XLP Adventure 6X6
- Brabus G900 XLP Adventure 6X6 “ Superblack ”
- Conversion to 6x6 - Unique Rear
- KW Independant suspension and dampers
- Tyre pressure control Air tank

Brabus Unveiled the ULTIMATE 911 Turbo: The ROCKET 900 R!!

Here is the 1 of 25 #Brabus Rocket 900 R a the latest and greatest #supercar from Bottrop ! Based on the 992 Generation of #Porsche 911 Turbo S, the “Rocket” does what it says on the tin and turns the already formidable sports car into a literal missile.
The rocket features an upgraded engine with Brabus’ own VTG turbochargers with 1.9 bar boost, and blow off valve to boot. As it says on logo - it produces 900 hp and 1,000 Nm peak torque, with a quoted 0-60 of 2.5 seconds! Insane performance alongside the Brabus valve control Exhaust system from Inconel (spoiler, sounds significantly better than stock!).
As with all Rocket product, it features a unique “Widestar” body crafted from Carbon Fibre - which is even wider than the already wide Turbo. Only the bonnet, doors and bootlid remain from the standard 992 — in fact all the active aero has also been removed, so the new body was designed with Brabus’ own aerodynamic strategy in mind, focusing on stability and cooling for high speed runs; at the expense of less downforce than the original car. The trade off helps the look too, as the rear wing is very nice indeed, giving off Carrera RS vibes.
Also unique are the Brabus “P-Block” aero wheels, which sit in exposed Kevlar lined wheel arches.
The car also features your typically extravagant Brabus Masterpiece interior - for which every part is hand crafted at the factory.
Today we explore:
- Brabus 911 Rocket 900R
- Widestar Carbon Body
- Aerodynamics and downforce
- Engine turbo updates and Technical Details

2024 All New Mercedes CLE Coupé! 6 Cylinders & Sporty Design!
Bye C Coupe and E Coupe: Hello #CLE Coupe! The new model to replace the hottest coupes in Mercedes’ history, is finally here! And it has big shoes to fill, particularly with the C Coupe, which was #MercedesBenz’s best-selling coupe ever. But it’s doing it with its best foot forward, taking the best parts from the new W206 C Class, and the new W214 E Class, and merging them into a car that’s sportier and more luxurious than anything before it. Oh: and it’s getting a 6 Cylinder engine, in the AMG too I reckon! :)
Big changes are happening for all the model lineups at #Mercedes Benz, not only with C Coupe and E Coupe cancelled, but also the death of S Coupe, A Class compact series, CLS, and eventually wagons and SUV Coupes to be cancelled. Some of our favourites were erased in the name of model consolidation - moves that I personally disagree with.
This CLE has been rumoured for ages, and combines the C and E Coupes into one model, not unlike the CLK did in the past (or the 4 series and A5 do at rival houses). It’s longer and wider than the C Coupe, and the same width as the E Coupe - with the same interior space as the latter. Interior is ripped straight from C Class, but on the outside, you’ll find design queues everywhere from the elder brother. Such a nice mix. Though the rear lights, a lazy design for me, too much like GLC Coupe.
Engine wise, we will initially get a host of 4 Pots ranging from 200HP in the CLE 200 and 220d to 258HP in the CLE 300. The best news is the 6-cylinder CLE 450 4Matic, with 381HP and the emotional engine you need. Plug-ins are coming later, expect them to match the current C and E.
In addition to this, the CLE Cabriolet has also been unveiled, and will launch at the same time with the same engine line up - minus the plug ins.
In terms of AMG - I think you can expect a CLE 53 using a 6-cylinder, as this only makes sense! We have seen a CLE 63 doing the rounds, and sadly I think it will have a 4cylinder hybrid like the C63 (but who knows what the future might bring… maybe 6 or 8!?).

2024 AMG S63 is THE BEST new AMG!! First Drive!
Thanks to MANSCAPED for sponsoring today’s video! Get 20% OFF + Free International Shipping with my promo code “RBR” at https://manscaped.com/removebeforerace.
Over the years the Fast S Class has always been an epic thing because it’s a total contradiction. One side ultimate luxury, and then the #AMG dark side of mad performance. over the years had and wild and memorable variants - using the best engines AMG have ever made, some with even Pagani engines.
Our new #MercedesAMG #S63 is insane. It’s a 802 BHP hybrid V8 beast - that has the job of replacing both the S63 and the V12 S65 which is now discontinued.
As I’ve told you guys before, it was an S Class actually began the AMG story. So we are going to cover the whole history of S AMG, from the 300 SEL Rote Sau or “ Red Pig “ all the way to this new E Performance Hybrid!
Our new car still uses the epic 4.0-litre V8 biturbo enginebut now with a P3 Hybrid system. This has a LSD, permanently excited synchronous electric motor and 2 speed gearbox all in one “electric drive unit” along side a13.1KW AMG performance battery - with 33km range. The car is powered by AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, and the multi clutch 9 speed gearbox.
The total system output is insane: 802BHP , Torque of 1430 Nm and 0.60 in 3.3 seconds!
We have loads more like new Recuperation modes, Active engine mounts for first time - Anti roll stabilisation too - so much to try and negate the extra weight. But will it work? Or will to fail like the GT63S E? Let’s find out!
Today we explore:
⁃History of S Class AMG
⁃W109 300 SEL 6.3
⁃W116 450 SEL 6.9
⁃W126 AMG pre merger
⁃W140 S500, S600, S73 T Model estate with Zonda engine
⁃W220 AMG
⁃W221 AMG
⁃W222 AMG and Facelift
⁃W223 V8 and E Performance
⁃Technical details
⁃Interior review
⁃Exhaust Sound
⁃Full road test
⁃Launch control
⁃Conclusion

2023 Audi RS7 “Performance” - 630HP of Pure V8 EMOTION!!
🌏 Get Exclusive NordVPN deal here ➼ https://nordvpn.com/rbr. It’s risk-free with Nord’s 30-day money-back guarantee! ✌
This is a car all about EMOTION. The Performance edition of the #Audi #RS7 and RS6 are here, as the only versions you can buy until the facelift. One word drove #AudiSport for this car, and that was emotion - in sound, power and dynamics. They took on customer and journalist feedback from the original, which was overwhelmingly about lack of emotion - so in similar style to the RS4/5 competition, they have hit key areas to bring a smile to our faces! And boy have they!!
The RS7 doesn’t have a long history, and if anything it’s a left field choice even VS the RS6. Its first version was in the C7 as a practical hatchback coupe alternate to the avant. It made 560 HP from its V8, and also had a Performance with 45PS power increase, and more torque on over-boost.
In this C8 gen, unlike rivals, Audi put their weight of design into the car, with serious focus on sportiness. Here only the hood, front doors and hatchback shared with a normal A7. It’s a massive 1.6 inches wider, with that same aggressive width that makes the RS6 such legend of the stance game. And unlike rivals like E63/M5 - not just reserved for the front, the rear doors and arches are also massive, with matching wide side sills! This standard car used the V8 twin turbo with 592BHP and 800NM, and 0-60 in 3.6 seconds. It also has a mild hybrid with an additional boost of 12hp, going to the 8 speed torque converter and Quattro system.
But now, it’s levelled up to its highest form. The RS7 Performance. First the engine update: we now have Larger turbos - increase boost pressure from 2.4 to 2.6bar - helping it make 630PS, 850NM (30PS and 50NM more) and an alleged 0-60 in 3.4.
More crucially, we have an upgraded 8 speed with faster shift times, and a new self locking centre differential - both lighter and smaller for heightened steering, dynamics and less understeer.
A huge focus was also on Sound and Weight - We have 8KG less insulation in the engine, interior and rear, to help with that emotional factor. New lighter 22 inch wheels with an open design aids cooling, but crucially 5kg lighter per wheel - 20 total! Continental have developed new Performance Tyres in the sport contact 7 - that help with a Two meter shorter brake distance.
Get the RS dynamics plus package like our matte blue car, and you get a top speed unlock and a choice of ceramics, grey red or blue; these are a massive 34KG lighter than steels!
So it has a formula that is actually quite similar to the RS5 competition that we drove recently, and absolutely loved! Which bodes well for our drive today. We’ll check out the sound, speed and performance to see if it’s now a better car!
Today we explore:
- The C7 RS7
- The C8 RS7 Standard car
- RS7 + RS6 Performance Edition
- Performance upgrades
- Technical changes
- Interior review
- Exhaust Sound
- Full road test
- Launch control
