Challengers 2024 Movie Review - Zendaya stars in a new hot, steamy flick called Challengers. Her character pits two tennis players against each other, both on and off the court to earn her attention. I thought this was going to be some typical teenage-gear garbage but Challengers was far from that. This is a slickly produced, awesomely scored film with plenty of a engaging moments. Definitely worth checking out!

Rebel Moon - Part Two The Scargiver movie Review. Zack Snyder needs to stop doing the whole writing thing. He is a solid director but these movies lack substance. They feel so generic. Rebel Moon: Part Two seems like the first movie again. Nothing really happens. A bunch of farmers protect their crappy wheat planet. The End.

Abigail 2024 Movie Review - Abigail appears to be taking a page from M3GEN by having another young girl play the antagonist. The gimmick this time is that she's a vampire ballerina. Abigail is also rated R and definitely flexes that rating. Plenty of violence, blood, carnage and humor. I found Abigail to be a fun time at the theaters.

Arcadian Movie Review - Nicolas Cage plays dad in this 2024 Shudder survival flick. Arcadian feels very cheap, with tons of shaky cam and some really wild monster design. I found myself laughing at Arcadian and not feeling scared. This movie is a YA film masked as a horror movie.

Civil War Movie Review - Kirsten Dunst stars as Lee, a press photographer whose trying to survive in a country divided. Many people are going to see this movie thinking it's going to be about the conflict. They will be disappointed. Civil War is about the press, journalists and reporters who go behind enemy lines to get the story out. The film is incredibly intense from start to finish and easily my favorite this year.

The MCU has become stale. Younger generations don't seem to have much interesting in Marvel Studios anymore. Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow and Hulk have either been killed off or retired. I think the MCU should kinda retire as well. In a sense. It's time to reboot the MCU. Use the multiverse to jump us into another set of stories. Keep it simple. People will come back!

Monkey Man Movie Review - Dev Patel directs and stars in a new action flick called Monkey Man. This film has some heavy John Wick influence while carving out its own unique style in the action genre. That style might not work for everyone though. I give the pros and cons of Monkey Man and let you know what you can expect!

The First Omen Movie Review - Back In the Habit! The Omen returns with a prequel. I just saw this movie 2 weeks ago when it was called Immaculate. I liked it better then but this movie isn't too shabby either. The First Omen has a very familiar premise and a few shocking moments. Overall though, unless you are a big Omen fan, this movie isn't going to do much to impress. Wait for it to hit streaming.

The Matrix 5 is happening without the Wachowski's involvement. Warner Bros. seems to think they can continue driving this franchise into the ground and still make money. The Matrix 4 was easily one of the worst movie sequels I have ever seen. Everything about it was just terrible so my excitement for a 5th Matrix film is at an all-time low. That doesn't mean there isn't a very small part of me that's hopeful they can make a good Matrix movie again. Warner Bros. just hasn't proven it cares enough to.

Now that I have reviewed Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire, it's time to do a spoiler video! I somehow have a lot to say on this movie and yet, very little at the same time. Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire is one of the dumbest, fun movies I have ever watched. Nothing makes sense!

No movie critic is perfect, nor should they claim to be. I will freely admit that I have made more than my share of bad calls, with the biggest one coming last year. When I reviewed Godzilla Minus One, people were very upset with my rotten score on Rotten Tomatoes. I ruined the perfect run Godzilla Minus One had. I have since rewatched the film and I'm happy to report, I was wrong! Godzilla Minus One is an amazing film and I just didn't see it before.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Movie Review - If you are looking for an all-out, action-packed flick featuring a giant ape and a giant lizard; GxK is the film for you! Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is about as dumb as a movie can get. It's basically a 2 hour Saturday morning cartoon with non-stop action and spectacle. I had a good time with this mess of a movie!

Sting (2024) Movie Review - Sting is a new horror flick, featuring a giant. That concept is enough to send chills down my spine. Even though the name is incredibly lame, the film thankfully isn't. I really enjoyed this smaller monster flick and fun cast. It's a quick, effective, sometimes scary film that needs more recognition!

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 Movie Review - Pooh is back with a new look, new story, new characters but the same crappy tone. This movie will undoubtably have a cult-audience but these Winnie-the-Pooh movies just don't have the right feel to them. The lack of comedy and self-referential humor is puzzling. Why are they taking this crap so seriously? I give you a full breakdown of Blood and Honey 2 in my review.

Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey did so well, that the studio is making a series of monster-verse style films such as Peter Pan, Bambi and Mad Hatter. These will be part of the Poohniverse, coming in 2025. I hate this!

The next generation of moviegoers seems to be missing. As a parent, I can see how things have shifted in the movie industry and what little interest my own kids have. Hollywood is poorly marketing to the next generation while still pandering to people who grew up in the 80's and 90's. By trying to reach everyone; they are reaching no one. Will the movie industry be able to survive when kids born in the 2000s and later start to get older? Is it too late at this point to reach them since they have to compete with social media, YouTube, Twitch and a variety of streaming services and short-form content? I go over all of this today!

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Spoilers ahead! I talk about the good but mostly the bad of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. You would think a film about busting ghosts would actually featuring some. The films relies heavily on nostalgia and little on a storyline that makes a lick of sense. I break it all down on a spoiler from Ghostbusters 4 review!

Immaculate 2024 Movie Review - Sydney Sweeney gets to showcase her acting chops in a new horror film based around a convent. Yes, the nun thing in horror has definitely been played out over the years but the simple premise and solid execution make Immaculate a very easy watch. Well, easy if you can handle the material.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Movie Review - The Ghostbusters are back... kinda. The old dogs grab the proton packs for yet another last ride while the kids take center stage. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is all over the place with characters, storylines and nostalgia overload. At points, the film nails down the tone and at others, it again gets lost in the weeds. I just don't care about these Ghosbusters movies anymore but perhaps you still will. I give my thoughts.

Road House Movie Review - Another remake just hit Amazon Prime in 2024. This time it's the action classic, Road House.

The Strong Female Lead messaging out of Hollywood lately has been insulting and not a very bankable premise. I go over how the movie industry has tried to transform female action stars and superheroes into these perfect, boring characters instead of just focusing on making good stories.

Netflix Irish Wish Movie Review - Lindsay Lohan is back (again) in a brand new Netflix original movie called Irish Wish. A film so bad, it makes Hallmark movies look like Oppenheimer. Irish Wish comes out just in time for St. Patrick's Day but if you found yourself watching this over the weekend; I pity what your life has become. I kinda pity Lindsay Lohan too for starring in these recent movies. Here are my thoughts on Irish Wish!

Love Lies Bleeding Movie Review - A24 is back with another wild movie. This time revolving around a gay bodybuilding and a new woman in her life with a mysterious past. Love Lies Bleeding is a thriller with a bit of a twist. It gets a bit artsy for my liking but overall I enjoyed this one enough to recommend it to those that like movies that are a bit out there.
