I got a huge surprise when observing one of my chickens that I was sure was a hen. Doug and Violet came and picked up seven other roosters though. I went foraging and found some interesting mushrooms after all this rain. Wood Ear/Tree Ear FTW! You've got to be very careful when forging for wild mushrooms, because you may run in to one that looks like a tasty wild edible but is totally poisonous! I started a new fermented hot sauce using my Tabasco Peppers that I've been growing in my garden, along with some jalapenos and cayenne. FITINHOT sent me a solar powered automatic chicken coop door to install on one of my coops.
