Wealth, luxury and fame just don't bode well for fools. Most of us will admit that without Christ we fit that mold and we can see our own reflection in the story of "the Prodigal" who also fulfilled the fact found in this Proverb. https://bbfohio.com

Our Proverb expresses the reality that so many go their own way without God but then blame and fret against Him when they suffer the results of going their own way. https://bbfohio.com

Unrepentant liars will perish in Hell and the Lake of Fire. But we can be thankful that Jesus will save any liar who will repent toward God with faith in His shed blood in death, burial and resurrection victory over sin, death and Hell! We see a very clear message. It is a sad thing but it is absolutely true. And we need to consider this truth as we consider making friends. https://bbfohio.com

If you have told a lie, bearing false witness, you are a liar. You are a false witness. And LYING about that doesn't help! Rather, we face our lies repenting toward God with faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ and receive forgiveness. But we must understand that even saved people suffer punishment if we bear false witness. Christians have historically been poor and most always made poor because of their Christian faith. We should, therefore, have a heart for the poor whether or not we suffer poverty in this life. https://bbfohio.com

Most professing Christians seem content to go through life ignorant of the God's word. Others read and study the Bible but believe it is somehow impressive or "spiritual" to "only read the Bible". It is not good to be without knowledge. That says it all about those who do not desire knowledge, but we also consider those who think they already know it all (or enough) as well as those ever learning but never coming to a knowledge of the truth. For most of us, our siblings remain close to us. We're family. Holidays, birthdays, births, weddings, funerals, etc., we are always there for each other.
