Captain Endscreen

Finally getting around to Sonic Origins and aside from a few minor gripes, I'm very much enjoying it. The inclusion of the spindash on sonic 1 pretty much breaks this boss fight.

What can I say about this that hasn't already been said?

This intro is just as awe inspiring to me now as it was in the early 90's. The DNA of this game can be found in nearly every cinematic platformer that has come along since.

In a series full of nutty boss death scenes, this is still one of my favorites.

It will never fail to move me.

For my money, the greatest Bro Hug ever conceived.

Metroid fan game, Metroid final. Choose your iteration of Samus (Metroid 2 for me here) and off you go! The scale and scope of this game is insane. Many more clips to come!

"Winners Don't Use Drugs" Except for me, who just won the game after taking prescribed rso capsules. Anywho, this Famicom game is a charming take on the Splatterhouse series. One of my go-to Halloween gaming choices.

If you can get past the antiquated isometric controls and a few admittedly bad sections marred by baffling design choices (I'm looking at you, spider tunnel), you'll be treated to one of the more unique games of the 16-Bit era.
