EP 48: Chief Mike Worden - Stigma of Mental Health & Police Officers
Welcome to another episode of the podcast!
Todays episode the guys sat down with Medicine Hat's own, Chief of Police - Mike Worden.
Mike was born and raised in Medicine Hat, and after high school made his way to Calgary where he spent more than 20 years on the service for Calgary Police. After 20 plus years in Calgary, Mike decided to make his way down south, and took on the roll of Chief of Police here in Medicine Hat in 2020.
The guys touched on a variety of conversation, including stigma around mental health and first responders; ideas around crisis training for police officers, and what can be done in the city of Medicine Hat to help the vulnerable populations.
Mike's an intelligent man, a great speaker, and very humble man. The Inner Man crew was grateful for this fantastic conversation!
