Hi group, It's me again burning some wood. This time I will do a Lichtenberg on a Taiwan Beech crotch. This is a neat shape of wood that almost looks like a person when I stand it up. It also has a floating effect when laid down to be used as a dish. The contrast of yellow wood and black burn give the piece a strong look. Thanks everyone for your support. See you next time. I would like to share a unique piece with you. This is Taiwan Cypress, One of the most challenging woods I have worked with so far. I tried to create a pattern that goes in a circle shape. It worked out well and even created a single tree burn, witch is the most rare pattern to create,very collectable. Thanks everyone. This was a tricky burn as the Taiwan Cypress has lots of oils that give it it's amazing smell. Staining is very common after burning this type of wood so it requires a lot of treatment after burning. But we have learned how to deal with these issues. In the end we have this beautiful box with an amazing smell that fills the room. We hope you enjoy and many thanks.
