Blackland Precision Rifles

A quick overview of a few of the actions we prefer to use and their features. Actions in this video are from Kelbly, American Rifle Company and Defiance.

In Part 6, we assemble the parts and mount the scope, and we now have a completed rifle ready for the range.

In Part 5, we finish the machine work by threading and cutting the crown. Not the best video due to vibrations, but you can see the concepts.

By special request, in this video, we take a more detailed look at some of the tools we use to build your custom rifle.

In Part 4, we prebore the chamber, then ream it to the proper headspace. This is a longer video, so feel free to skip ahead.

In part 3.3 we finish the action fitting process with the final passes of threading and cutting of the bolt nose recess.

Part 3 is divided into 3 sections. The original video was too long, so we edited out some repetitive steps during the threading process. Part 3.1 is cutting the thread tenon to the correct diameter and length.

In this video, we get the barrel set up in the lathe for machining. Dialing in on the bore until we have nearly zero total indicated runout.

In part 3.2 we thread the barrel to fit the action using a new flood coolant system.
