Replacing the mass airflow (MAF) sensor on a Hummer H3x is a super-simple job that literally takes 3 minutes. If you just want to clean it, you can follow this same procedure, it'll just take longer to clean and I'm not convinced that just replacing it isn't the better option. This is the prototype of a new competition air intake for the Porsche Cayman 987 series (2006-2012) being tested in a 2012 Cayman S. The engine bay of a Porsche Cayman is incredibly tight, to the point of making it impossible to do certain maintenance/repair tasks such as replacing the vacuum pump as I've had to do recently. In order to get more room, you need to tilt the front of the engine down. Which you can do without unhooking any coolant, vacuum, fuel, or electrical connections. While researching how to do this, I was unable to find ANY tutorials on how to do it, so ... There seems to be a lot of mystery on removing the Cayman's front bumper cover. Actually, it's a fairly easy job. UNLESS one part gives you trouble, but in this video I show how to permanently fix that situation. This video is showing the 987.2 but (IIRC) the 987 (987.1) is virtually if not completely identical. Removing the headlight pods of the 987 generation of the Porsche Cayman is super-easy due to the extremely clever design.

While prepping for an episode on maximizing gas milage, I tested out several "facts" about how you can improve your gas milage. I found that with some simple changes, I was able to cut my effective gas cost by $1.85 per gallon.
