Grayton Beach is voted the #1 best beach in Florida, and it’s tucked away in the Florida panhandle. The crystal clear emerald water of the Gulf of Mexico is perfect for snorkeling and paddling, and there’s lots of wildlife to see around Turtle Reef, the man-made artificial reef in the shape of a turtle! On our Grayton Beach adventure, we had the most amazing sealife encounters with a very large sea turtle and a huge pod of dolphins! We absolutely love spending time in the Florida panhandle because of the calm warm waters. When the beach was too windy, hot, or busy, we enjoyed the beautiful quiet campground at Grayton Beach State Park and even found nice hiking trails that had us climbing over huge sand dunes and into the shady Florida pine forest. In this episode, we explore the natural wonders at Florida Caverns State Park! This rare Florida cavern is located in the northern Panhandle of Florida in the small city of Marianna and is home to some adorable cave bats! The colorful underground passages can be difficult to navigate but our awesome tour guide led the way through some interesting formations. As always, we've got our camper van, but this time we’ve booked an interesting primitive campsite. And before turning in for the night, we get lucky with an amazing up-close view of the moon. We even debated jumping into the other natural wonder at the park, which they call BLUE HOLE SPRING. The Blue Hole is deep, perfect for jumping in. Adventure awaits at Fort Clinch State Park! Fort Clinch is on Amelia Island, just a short biking distance from the adorable downtown of Fernandina Beach. Explore Fort Clinch with us and all that it has to offer, including hiking and biking trails, riverfront and beachside camping, and a historical fort. Silver Springs is Florida’s ORIGINAL theme park! It’s right in the middle of Florida in Silver Springs, located between the city of Ocala and the Ocala National Forest. In this episode, we finally get to enjoy the peaceful Rainbow River and it's the most crystal clear water we've ever seen! In the last couple episodes, we encountered a scary Florida thunderstorm while floating helplessly on the water, but this time, we’re paddling around on our inflatable paddleboard! Just wait until you see the underwater scenes of the beautiful wildlife in the Rainbow River, including otters and turtles! The water is so clear, it’s really unbelievable! On a side adventure, we also explore the ruins of an old theme park that was once at Rainbow Springs State Park. There’s even waterfalls! (Even if they are man-made.) Tubing Rainbow Springs State Park

This is the continuation of our stormy tubing ride down the Rainbow River, and as luck would have it, we're saved by a famous radio star! Finally we’re able to get off of the Rainbow River, hang up our tubes, and pull up in our van at our nice campsite at the Rainbow Springs State Park campground. After all the danger, we have a pizza dinner made by the fire! This is definitely a crazy experience we will never forget and we’re happy to share it with you. Key West Fantasy Fest has to be one of the wildest festivals in Florida! Every day during Fantasy Fest there are theme nights for costumes, walking parades that you don’t want to miss, and a wild time for anyone that hasn’t experienced Fantasy Fest. The body painting in Key West and body art are some of the most unique and creative you will ever see! We spent seven crazy days in Key West to see what the body painting was all about - to learn from the artists, speak to people who got body painted and were getting ready for the annual body painting contest. What we learned is that Key West Fantasy Fest can be a wild party, and is essentially a body paint festival, but the feel on the island is one of creativity, freedom, and a celebration.
