Let's talk about NO, shall we?
Feeling pulled in a million different directions?
Seeing your calendar fill up with meetings that could easily be an email?
Having the work time for your projects chipped away by someone just hanging out and talking to you? Want to scream "GO AWAY!!"?
Let me introduce you to my friend, No.
I say it all the time, No. is a full and complete sentence. For some reason, we have all been trained to say Yes, even if it is not suitable for us in the first place.
A lot of times No. is characterized as a negative way to approach things. I disagree.
We need to say No to the things we do not want to do so that we can say Yes to the important things in our lives.
Important? Yes, important.
Think about it. What is more important in your life right at this moment, taking on one more project to prove you are a team player or declining the project so you are able to go to your child's dance recital.
I read an article about Gen Z being the ones that have changed the workforce. I think No it is we mighty Gen Xers that came in and said we will have balance in our lives and we will say No. Especially as Gen X hits our mid-career stride.
Want to learn the magic "NO." go to http://meetwithleeann.me and schedule a time to chat.

Have we time traveled to the 1970s? Alarming Inflation, Credit Card Debt and the Scary Economy
We've all heard about inflation in the news, but what exactly is it?
Inflation is when prices for goods and services rise over time. This means that the same amount of money doesn't buy as much as it used to. For example, a can of soda that cost $1 ten years ago might now cost $1.50.
While this may not seem like a big difference, it can add up over time. This is why inflation is often called the "silent thief" and is an involuntary tax hike on all consumers. It slowly eats away at your purchasing power without you even realizing it. While inflation can be a problem, it's important to remember that it's also a natural part of our economy.
What is hyperinflation?
In simple terms, it's when prices for goods and services rise rapidly, outstripping the ability of people to earn a living. The effects of hyperinflation can be devastating, leading to widespread poverty and even social unrest.
How do we fight hyperinflation day to day?
One way is to make sure that we save as much money as possible. This may seem counterintuitive, but by setting aside money each month, we can help to protect ourselves from the effects of inflation. Another way to fight hyperinflation is to invest in assets that have the potential to appreciate in value. This could include stocks, bonds, and even real estate. By diversifying our portfolio, we can help to insulate ourselves from the worst effects of inflation.
Make your life a priority and you will be rich in everything that matters. A man who knows what's important doesn't need much, while an empty-headed dilettante wastes his time on things lacking value or meaning when he could have it all right here waiting for him at home with nothing but himself to keep company!
Credit Cards: yea or nay?
It used to be so easy to use your credit card for everyday purchases, but now with rising interest rates, it's not such a good idea. It feels like every day the news is reporting on another increase in interest rates. This means that if you don't act now, your credit card debt could balloon out of control.
Using a credit card for everyday purchases in order to take advantage of the current 0% APR offers was a great plan, but with interest rates on the rise, it's hard to know if you're making a smart decision.
If you're carrying a balance on your credit card, you're likely paying more in interest than you would if you just used cash. But what if you could travel back in time and tell your younger self not to use credit cards?
As the cost of living rises, more and more people are turning to credit cards to make ends meet. While this can be a helpful short-term solution, it can also lead to long-term financial problems. When inflation is taken into account, the real cost of credit card debt increases dramatically. This is because the minimum monthly payment is based on the original purchase price, not the current value of the item. As a result, consumers end up paying much more for their purchases than they would if they had paid in cash. In addition, high-interest rates can make it difficult to pay off the balance, leading to a cycle of debt that can be difficult to break free from. For these reasons, it is important to think carefully before using a credit card to make a purchase during an era of inflation.
What is the best way to get through this inflationary crisis?
The blog post has looked at the possible causes of inflation and how to get through this crisis.
-There are a few measures that can be taken to battle rising prices. -The government needs to focus on bringing down public debt, controlling liquidity in the market, and increasing agricultural production.
-If these steps are taken, it is hopeful that we will see a decrease in prices and an improvement in the economy.
-In the meantime, people need to be mindful of their spending and focus on saving as much money as possible.
Despite the current state of the economy, there are ways to get through this inflationary crisis. While it may seem difficult and scary at first, with a few simple tips you can be well on your way to surviving and thriving during these tough times. Stay positive, stay informed, and stay creative- we believe in you!

Are there any tips or advice that you would give someone who is struggling financially? #shorts
(Please note: I am not a financial advisor or financial counselor. I am presenting real life examples of what I have done to move past financial stress. Please seek a financial advisor for solutions that will work for you.)
If you're struggling financially, it's important to remember that you're not alone. Millions of people around the world are in the same boat, and there are many resources available to help you get back on your feet.
First and foremost, it's important to create a budget and stick to it. This will help you keep track of your expenses and make sure that you're not spending more than you can afford.
It's also a good idea to build up an emergency fund so that you have money set aside for unexpected expenses. Start small with this amount. Consistently putting aside that amount of money will grow your emergency fund rapidly.
Finally, seek out some fun in your life by looking for free events in your area. If you lock down completely and don’t have any fun, this discipline will become drudgery and you’ll quit working to get out of the financial funk.

Have you ever had to deal with financial stress? If so, how did you overcome it? #shorts
(Please note: I am not a financial advisor or financial counselor. These are real life examples from my life, how I dealt with them, and my experiences.)
Yes, I've had to deal with financial stress. I loss my job unexpectedly. I went into triage mode, rapidly.
Here's how I overcame it:
1. I prioritized my expenses and made a budget.
2. I reduced my spending by eliminating unnecessary expenses.
3. I increased my income by finding ways to make more money.
4. I cut back on luxuries and saved up for a rainy day fund.
5. I made a plan and stuck to it, even when things got tough.
The bottom line is that overcoming financial stress takes hard work, discipline, and commitment, but it's definitely doable if you're willing to put in the effort.

Burnout Bounce Back Ability: 3 Steps to Bounce Back from Burnout Without the Dreaded Self-Care
Are you feeling burned out? Do you know what burned out feels like?
Burnout can have some really negative health effects, and it's hard to know how to avoid it or deal with it when you're experiencing it.
Conventional wisdom of using self-care is the cure for burnout and its friends insomnia, headaches, and feeling mentally and physically exhausted. Unfortunately for convential wisdom, one must go beyond self-care to completely cure burnout.
In this video, I'm going to share with you a three-step process that will help you bounce back from burnout and get your life back on track to freedom and excitement.
By the way, you're not alone in your feelings. Millions of people go through this every year. With the right tools, you can overcome it and be more successful than ever.
Burnout can sneak up on you and before you know it, you're struggling with sleeplessness, weight gain (or weight loss from lack of appetite), and a general lack of interest in the world around you.
Most advice to pull yourself out of burnout is to apply self care, and do it every day. That may work if you weren't so down in the dumps of burnout.
One has to wonder, is there another way?
There is!
Evaluation of your life, from work to home to hopes and dreams, will help determine where balance or lack thereof is showing up. After evaluation, you will be able to identify your true north, your Polaris. You will discover what truly drives you to be your best. Evaluating your life spotlights what you want and then take action to concentrate on that which is important.
And then there is balance. The concept of balance has come to be defined as spending the same amount of time in each realm of life. That is not balance, it is equilibrium. Real balance is when work and home is flexible enough to allow for movement from one sphere of life to another as needed. As life is reevaluated, flexibility is built in where unnecessary things fall away.
To pull yourself out of burnout completely, finding a way to invigorate your life is required. The best example of this was given by Allan Ting in his 2018 TED Talk to follow your smart phone's battery. When the battery is at 5%, you plug it in and in a short period of time, the battery charges to 20%. When the battery needs a full charge, plugging in the phone over night will accomplish the task, just as sleeping 7-9 hours fully recharges your battery. Sometimes you just need to go "off the grid" and travel or learn something new, just not be reachable.
Personally, I go off the grid once a week, it is so refreshing!
Taking the time to move from burnout will result in a few positive health results:
-You will be able to sleep through the night
-You will have more energy during the day
-Your headaches will go away
-You will feel mentally and physically refreshed
Bouncing back from burnout can be tough, but it is not impossible. This solution for avoiding burnout and recovering from it when you do experience it will help you get your energy back and feeling like your old self again.

What are some things you do to manage your money and stay out of debt? #shorts
You asked for it and here it is!
Here is a list of 5 things that I do to help manage my money and stay out of debt.
(Please note, I am not a financial advisor, nor am I a financial counselor. These are real life examples of what I do in my personal life to keep from sliding into debt and be financially sound.)
1. I live within my means. I don't spend more than I earn, and I make a budget and stick to it.
2. I save for a rainy day. I have an emergency fund to cover unexpected expenses, and I save for retirement and other long-term goals.
3. I invest for the future. I put money into stocks, mutual funds, or real estate to help it grow over time.
4. I stay informed about my finances. I monitor my bank account and credit score regularly, and I know what kind of debt I have and how much interest rates are costing me each month.
5. I get help when needed. If there's something about money that confuses me

Why is Money Stressful? #shorts
There are a lot of reasons why money can be stressful – it can be hard to make ends meet, unexpected expenses can pop up, and it can be difficult to plan for the future when you're not sure what your financial situation will be. It's no wonder that so many people find money to be a source of stress in their lives!
One of the biggest reasons why money is so stressful is because it's such an important part of our lives. We need money to buy food, shelter, and all the other essentials of life. Not having enough money can put us in a very tough spot, especially if we're already struggling to make ends meet.
When we're stressed about money, it can also lead to physical symptoms like headaches, stomach problems, and insomnia. It's important to find ways to reduce the stress in our lives, so we can stay healthy and happy.

Burnout is it all in YOUR Head?: The Growing New Epidemic Sweeping Across America Part 2
The word "burnout" has been thrown around for years now, but what does it really mean? It seems like everyone is affected by this phenomenon—even the most successful among us can fall victim. So let's take a look at how common burnout syndrome actually is and why it is happening more often than before!
Burnout happens when you're so caught up in your work that the stress becomes too much to handle.
It starts with physical and emotional responses but can lead anywhere from feeling tired or stressed out all day long to have an actual breakdown because of constant pressure that has taken its toll on what little energy reserves are left after dealing personally with life challenges.
The good news is there are steps each one of us takes every day to make sure our jobs don't wear us down.
Here are some causes of burnout and why it's so common in today's society:
1. The lack of meaning or purpose in our work
It's no secret that burnout is becoming more and more common in today's society. According to a recent study, nearly 1 in 5 employees report feeling burnt out at work.
There are a number of factors that contribute to this growing problem. One of the most significant factors is the lack of meaning or purpose in our work. With the rise of the gig economy, many of us are forced to take on multiple jobs that offer little in the way of satisfaction or personal fulfillment.
In addition, the constantly changing landscape of the modern workplace can leave us feeling exhausted and unmoored. Burnout is also fueled by our culture of productivity, which values constant hustle and grind over rest and self-care. As we strive to do more and be more, we often find ourselves running on empty.
If we want to avoid burnout, it's crucial that we find ways to infuse our work with meaning and make time for rest and relaxation.
2. Unhealthy lifestyles that lead to burnout
There's no one-size-fits-all answer to the question of what causes burnout. However, there are some lifestyle choices that can make people more susceptible to it.
For example, people who regularly work long hours or take on too much responsibility are at increased risk of burnout. Likewise, people who don't take enough time for themselves or who don't have a strong support system are also more likely to experience burnout.
While it's not possible to completely avoid these risk factors, there are steps that can be taken to reduce their impact. For instance, taking regular breaks, setting boundaries, and getting plenty of rest can all help to prevent burnout.
However, even with these precautions in place, burnout is still a very real possibility in today's society.
3. Not taking care of ourselves emotionally and mentally
Are you tired all the time? Feeling like you can't keep up with the demands of your life? Feeling like you're just going through the motions, day after day? If so, you may be experiencing burnout.
Burnout is a state of chronic stress that can lead to physical and emotional exhaustion, feelings of cynicism and detachment, and a sense of ineffectiveness and lack of accomplishment. It's common in today's society, where we're often expected to do more with less and to be constantly "on" 24/7.
There are several factors that can contribute to burnout, including: unrealistic expectations, a lack of control over one's work, a lack of support from others, and chronic stress.
If you're feeling burned out, it's important to take steps to take care of yourself emotionally and mentally. This may include things like setting boundaries, taking breaks, and getting regular exercise and rest. Taking care of yourself will help you to feel better and to be better able to cope with the demands of your life.
Burnout is a very real and costly condition, but it doesn't have to be the end of your career. With the help of a coach who specializes in burnout prevention, you can manage your symptoms and get back on track. Don't let burnout keep you from achieving your goals- reach out for help today.

Burnout is it all in YOUR Head?: The Growing New Epidemic Sweeping Across America Part 1
We are living in the era of burnout and it is a real problem and often misunderstood. It seems like no one is immune to it – not even the most successful people in the world. Burnout has become so commonplace that there's even a term for it: "burnout syndrome." So what is this phenomenon, and why is it happening? And more importantly, what can we do about it?
Most people think of burnout as being tired or stressed out, but that's only part of the story. Burnout is actually a physical and emotional response to chronic stress.
Here are some causes of burnout and why it's so common in today's society:
1. The rise of the digital age and constant connection to work
In today's society, the line between work and home has become blurred. With the rise of the digital age, we are constantly connected to our work, and this can lead to burnout. Burnout is a state of mental, physical, and emotional exhaustion. It is caused by chronic stress, and it can have a negative impact on our health and well-being.
The symptoms of burnout include fatigue, irritability, difficulty concentrating, and a loss of interest in work or other activities. Burnout is common in today's society because we are under constant pressure to perform at our best. We are expected to juggle multiple commitments and meet unrealistic deadlines. This can lead to feelings of being overwhelmed, which can contribute to burnout.
If you are experiencing symptoms of burnout, it is important to seek help from a mental health professional. You can also take steps to prevent burnout by learning to manage stress and setting realistic goals.
2. The pressure to succeed and be perfect
Do you ever feel like you're running on empty? That no matter how hard you try, you can't keep up with the demands of your life? If so, you may be experiencing burnout.
It's common in today's society, where the pressure to succeed and be perfect is high. People who are burned out often feel like they're inadequate or unimportant. They may feel hopeless, like no matter what they do, it's not good enough. As a result, they may start to withdraw from their commitments and responsibilities.
Burnout can lead to serious health problems, both physical and mental. Speak to your doctor or a mental health professional if you're experiencing burnout. They can help you identify the causes of your stress and develop a plan to get your life back on track.
3. Lack of control over our lives and working too many hours
It's no secret that people are feeling more stressed out than ever before. In fact, studies have shown that stress levels have been on the rise for the past few decades.
There are a number of factors that contribute to this increase in stress, but one of the most significant is the loss of control over our lives.
We no longer have the autonomy that we once did, and as a result, we often feel like we're just treading water. This can lead to burnout, which is characterized by feelings of exhaustion, cynicism, and apathy. Burnout is incredibly common in today's society, and it's only going to become more prevalent unless we make some changes.
So what can we do to combat this problem? First, we need to create boundaries between work and home. It's important to take breaks and disconnect from our devices when we're not working. Additionally, we need to learn to say 'no' when we're feeling overwhelmed. It's okay to put our own needs first. Finally, we need to find activities that bring us joy and make time for them every week. Taking these steps, can begin to reduce the amount of stress and prevent burnout.

How The Hell Did I Become So Afraid? The Secret to Living Life Well NOW!
We need to get society back to exchanging pleasantries with friends and strangers, but fear is stopping us in our tracks. Fear is based on the unknown and is our brain's way of protecting us.
We're too scared to talk to people. We don't know what to say, and we're worried about what they might think of us.
Morgan has taken the opportunity to become a healthier and more grounded woman during the pandemic. She is exercising, eating healthy, sleeping better, and meditating. She feels strong and confident. She refuses to feel afraid when she meets another person.
But as Morgan goes about her day-to-day, she can't help but notice that something is just not right. Everywhere she looks, people are wearing masks and avoiding each other. The few interactions she does have are tense and awkward.
Morgan starts to feel like an outsider in her own city. She longs for normal life but is hesitant to reach out to new people like she did pre-pandemic. What if they don't want to be friends?
As Morgan continues on her journey, she learns that there is no shame in being afraid. Everyone is struggling in their own way. The pandemic has forced us all to confront our fears and learn to trust each other again.
It's time to face our fears and start talking to people again. It's the only way we'll ever learn anything new or make any new friends.
With fear holding us back, we're missing out on opportunities for friendship and connection. Let's break free from fear and start talking to each other again.
What is fear?
Fear is an emotion that is based on the unknown. It's our brain's way of protecting us from danger. When we're afraid, we usually feel anxious or tense. We might also have physical reactions, such as a racing heart or sweaty palms.
Why are we afraid?
We're afraid because we don't know what to expect. When we've seen the news and heard the same story over and over, we become weary of it. When we see that the weather is not improving. When our favorite foods are not at the store with reliability, we become scared.
- How to overcome your fear
- How to stop being afraid
- The science of fear and how to overcome it
The past 2 years have been rough both personally and professionally for everyone. As the world has been waking up, fear has permeated society.
Getting society back to exchanging pleasantries with friends and strangers is going to be a long road. There is no need to be afraid. By reading this, you're proving that you are not afraid. You are willing to take the next step, despite your fears.
The first step is always the hardest, but it's important to remember that you are not alone. You have read this, which means you are interested in doing something about the current state of society. The world is a scary place right now, but there is no need to be afraid. We can all take small actions to make the world a friendlier place and will get through this if we work together. Join us as we take the next step and work together to make our world a friendlier place.
Fear is a choice. You can chooose to live in it or you can face it. Facing your fears can be scary, but it's worth the risk. Let go of that fear and start talking to people again! You'll make friends in no time at all; I promise you're not alone when it comes down right now.
It's time to stop being scared of talking with people. We need friends and connections, but we're too afraid that they will judge us or think less of our ideas. Fear holds you back from engaging in conversations so it is best if you can face your fears by starting a conversation with someone today!

What Are the Stages of Professional Burnout? And How to Combat It!
You love your job, but lately, it's been harder and harder to get out of bed in the morning. Feeling overwhelmed, constantly stressed, and struggling to keep up with work demands? You're not alone.
Professional burnout is a very real phenomenon that can affect anyone in any field. According to a study by the Harvard Business Review, 43% of employees experience burnout. Left unchecked, it can lead to serious health problems.
1. What are the early warning signs of burnout?
There are a few key warning signs to look out for if you're concerned that you might be experiencing burnout. If you're feeling chronically overwhelmed, undervalued, and unhappy at work, then it's likely that you're experiencing burnout. Other common symptoms of burnout include feelings of cynicism and detachment from your work, excessive stress, poor sleep quality, and physical health problems.
If you're noticing any of these warning signs, it's important to take action immediately. Evaluate your current situation and ask yourself if there are any changes you can make in your work life to reduce the amount of stress you're facing.
2. What are the physical and emotional symptoms of burnout?
The physical and emotional symptoms of burnout often overlap and can be difficult to distinguish from one another. Some of the most common physical symptoms of burnout include headaches, backaches, chronic fatigue, insomnia, indigestion, and chest pain.
The most common emotional symptoms of burnout are feelings of cynicism and detachment, irritability and angry outbursts, depression and hopelessness, feelings of incompetence and low self-esteem, and a loss of interest in work or other activities.
3. What are the causes of burnout?
Burnout can be caused by many different things, but one of the most common causes is career-related stress. When you're under a lot of pressure at work and don't have enough time to take care of yourself, it's easy to start feeling burned out. Other common causes of burnout include:
• Chronic stress
• Lack of control over your work or life
• Unrealistic expectations from others or yourself
• Feeling like you're not good enough or that you constantly have to prove yourself
• Toxic work relationships or a negative work environment
4. What are some ways to prevent burnout?
There's no single answer to preventing burnout, but there are some strategies that can help. One key element is to think about your career in the long term. What are your long-term goals? What steps do you need to take to get there? Focusing on the future can help you stay motivated and prevent burnout in the present.
It's also important to stay mindful of your work/life balance. Make sure you're taking time for yourself outside of work - whether that means hobbies, spending time with loved ones, or just taking a break from work-related stressors.
5. How can you combat burnout if it's already happening?
First, make sure you're taking time for yourself outside of work. Get plenty of sleep, exercise, and eat a healthy diet. Also, make sure you're scheduling regular breaks during the day and taking time for yourself each week to relax and rejuvenate.
If your burnout is due to feeling overworked or overwhelmed at your job, you might also want to consider taking a career break or changing careers altogether. Burnout can be a sign that you're in the wrong career field or that you need a change in scenery. Don't be afraid to make a change - it could be just what you need to feel refreshed and motivated again.
Burnout is a serious issue that can have a major impact on your health, happiness, and career. If you're feeling burned out, don't ignore the warning signs - take action to prevent or combat it. With a little bit of effort, you can get back on track and feel like yourself again.
There are steps you can take to combat professional burnout before it becomes a bigger problem. Recognizing the signs of professional burnout is the first step. Once you know what to look for, you can start taking steps to combat it.

How Do I Communicate Without Being a Jerk?
I had a meeting with a person this week that was not the nicest in the world. He treated me like I was stupid and used the words "obviously" and "right" In. Every. Sentence.
Obviously, I was not happy with the way he spoke to me. In fact, I found it rude and condescending. But I decided to use that anger to my advantage.
I listened carefully to everything he said and took notes. Then, after our meeting, I went back to my office and started writing.
I wrote this response, dripping with sarcasm and wit. By the time I finished, I had created a masterpiece. My response was polite yet sharp, insightful yet playful. It was the perfect comeback for someone who treated me like a fool.
It's easy to be misunderstood when you're not speaking the other person's language, and worse when you are choosing the wrong words. It's easy to come off as a jerk when your words are inconsiderate.
You want to be more effective in your communication and avoid coming off as a jerk.
Imagine having the ability to communicate with anyone, anywhere, anytime without worrying about how you come across. It's easy when you know what words to use and what words not to use. This is where choosing the right word matters most!
Choosing your words wisely helps people become better communicators by teaching them how to choose their words wisely so that they can be understood every time!
There are ways to overcome communication issues. Learning how to choose the correct words can help with:
- How to be a better communicator
- Tips for avoiding common communication mistakes
- How to get your point across without being a jerk
Use the right words, and you'll never have to worry about how you're coming across again. Unlearning bad habits from popular corporate speak can help turn your communication style into one that is considerate, helpful, and always puts the other person first.
In order to create a more considerate communication style, we first need to unlearn some of the bad habits that have been picked up from popular corporate speak. Once these harmful phrases and words are eliminated from our vocabulary, we can begin using language that is helpful and always puts the other person first.
Sometimes we just need a little help in our communication skills and that's why I'm here. My goal is to teach you how not only to recognize when someone might misunderstand us but also the best way of communicating with them without actually hurting their feelings or making it seem like they didn't say anything important at all!
