Russell looks at me as if to say, “Gee whiz, my rambunctious son can be a little annoying when he won’t take no for an answer!”

If you're thinking about getting a new furry friend, we highly recommend considering a Norwich Terrier. Here are just a few reasons why:
1. They're super affectionate and love spending time with their owners. Plus, their friendly personalities make them great companions for people of all ages.
2. Despite their wiry coat, they're actually pretty low maintenance when it comes to grooming. Just a weekly brush and a few trips to the groomer each year will do the trick.
3. They're small dogs, which makes them perfect for apartment or small home living. Plus, they don't need a ton of space to run around.
4. Don't let their size fool you - Norwich Terriers are energetic and love to play. They're great for outdoor activities like hiking or running.
5. They're smart cookies! Norwich Terriers are quick learners and respond well to positive reinforcement training.
Overall, Norwich Terriers make amazing companions for anyone looking for a lovable, low-maintenance, small, energetic, and intelligent dog. So if you're ready to welcome a loyal and loving companion into your life, a Norwich Terrier might just be the perfect fit for you!

Do dogs like Tomatoes?
Well yes and no. Your furry friend can indulge in some juicy, red tomatoes every now and then, however, there's a little something you should keep in mind.
Ripe tomatoes are safe for dogs to eat in moderation! However, it's important to avoid giving your pup unripe tomatoes or any part of the tomato plant, as they contain a toxic substance called tomatine.
Tomatoes are part of the nightshade family, which includes other veggies like peppers and eggplant. While these plants do have edible parts, they also contain potentially harmful elements. So, it's best to stick to ripe tomatoes as an occasional treat for your furry friend.
Tomatoes contain beneficial nutrients like vitamin C, potassium, and fiber. In this video, Russell is considering eating a ripe cherry tomato, and that is fine.

Excited dog meets his son for the very first time
Russell was born on October 1st, 2018 at Wildgoose Norwich Terriers near Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He’s been living at his home in nearby Ottawa as the ONLY dog in the house for close to 4 years.
Then Russell made a trip back to the breeders to mate with one of the females and the result, on July 1, 2022, was a litter of two puppies, one female, and little Miles!
Today, September 25, 2022 Russell’s ‘parents’ made the trip back to Kingston to pick up 2 1/2-month old Miles, and they are just now returning to Ottawa with father and son.
Russell isn’t quite sure what he thinks of Miles, yet! He’ll need some time to warm up to the idea of another little terrier running around HIS house lol.
We all gathered at the apartment and we were instructed to make sure that when this cute pair arrived, that we first gave all our attention to Russell - because that’s what he’s used to - being the center of attention!
So here they are arriving together for the very first time.

Why do dogs eat grass?
There is some bright green grass in my backyard that Russell and Miles LOVE to eat.
What’s up with that?
Well, I did a little research.
Have you ever taken your pup out for a pee break and turned around to see them munching on some grass? Well don't freak out just yet! This behaviour isn't always a cause for concern. But why do they do it, and when should you worry? And is there a way to get them to stop?
Well, there are a few reasons why dogs love to chow down on grass. For starters, they might be missing some key nutrients in their diet. If that's the case, try switching up their food or adding some supplements to their meals.
Another reason could be that they need more fiber in their diet to help with digestion and keep things moving smoothly. In that case, try feeding them food with a higher fiber content.
But sometimes, dogs just have a natural instinct to eat grass. Back in the day, their wild ancestors would eat the whole animal, including the plants in their stomachs. So maybe it's just in their genes to crave some greens every now and then.
So, don't worry too much if your furry friend likes to snack on some grass. Just keep an eye on them and make sure they're not eating anything toxic. And if you're really concerned, talk to your vet about it.

Puppy Experiences First Ever Snowfall With His Dad!
Russell and Miles are a father-and-son Norwich Terrier combo of fun. And today? Why there’s fresh snow! The first of the season!
It’s November 16 and we're here in Ottawa, Canada’s capital city. The weather is mild, the snowflakes are fluffy and it’s time for some puppy-play!
Although Russell hasn’t seen snow in at least six months, at the grand age of three, he has seen that many winters so far. In fact, Russell came into the world in wintertime and for a while, he must have thought this frozen world was all there was. What a surprise he must have had as the snow began to melt and the flowers began to bloom after many months of cold and dark.
Ah, but that’s another story. Today, Russell gets to be the experienced gentleman, hesitating only a brief moment before bravely plunging forth into the white stuff.
On the other hand, Miles has never seen such a wonder before. His four-month-old world has been transformed overnight. Let’s freshly discover it ourselves, right along with him … and his dad, as they step out of the doorway and into icy-cold adventure!

Cute Norwich Terrier runs for a steak!
Norwich Terriers - like any dog - LOVE a good steak. But unlike most dog breeds, Norwich Terriers aren’t exactly ravenous for their food. They often take their time and may pause to do something else for a while and then come back a little later for more.
Russell the Terrier may not always be ravenous, but he’s been smelling our barbecue all afternoon, so when he hears his name and spots the BBQ goodness - he’s off as fast as his cute little legs will take him.
