On Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, three Oklahoma City Police Department officers responded to a call about Bennie Edwards, a 60-year-old man who experienced homelessness and psychosis, being disruptive outside a shopping center. The third officer on the scene, Sgt. Clifford Holman, fatally shot Edwards and has been charged with first-degree manslaughter in Oklahoma County District Court. This footage is from the car dashboard of Sgt. Keith Duroy, who is seen wearing a face covering.

TULSA, Okla. (KFOR/KOKI) – Authorities are hoping that dashcam video from a recent accident can serve as a warning to others to not text and drive. On Aug. 16, 2019 a Tulsa police officer was headed south on Riverside near 81st when he was hit by another vehicle. Investigators realized that the other driver jumped a curb from the opposing lanes of traffic before slamming into the patrol car. However, authorities say the officer, although he was not at fault for the accident, was texting seconds before impact. Even though he was texting, officials say the crash was unavoidable. “There was nothing that this officer could have done to prevent this collision from happening,” Tulsa Officer Jeanne Pierce said. Fortunately, neither driver was seriously injured but the officer did have to go to the hospital to be checked out. According to FOX 23, the Tulsa Police Department’s Traffic Review Board does look over crashes involving officers, but they do not release information on those investigations.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (KTRK) -- New video shows a chase leading up to a deadly shootout in San Antonio. DPS troopers just released video of the February chase that started when a man drove away from a traffic stop. Authorities say a trooper stopped the car in Guadalupe County for a traffic violation, and the driver gave a false name and sped away. The footage shows the driver opening his car door as the vehicle was still in motion, before completely exiting the vehicle as it came to a full stop. He can then be seen firing at a trooper, who was shot in the arm. The suspect, later identified as 33-year-old Ernest Manuel Montelongo of San Antonio, was shot by a state trooper in the exchange of gunfire at the scene and later died at a hospital from his injuries, according to the Associated Press. The wounded trooper is doing well.

Marietta, Ga., police officer Nick St. Onge was captured on dash camera video saving a 2-month-old infant after she stopped breathing while drinking a bottle of milk. He said he was at the right place at the right time.
