Always unplug the battery's negative terminal before doing any work on your engine - especially electrical work.
I used a jack underneath the car to raise it approx. 10 inches for easier access (and to save my back):

Covering the battery and intake area (front-right of engine compartment) with a large work towel will give you a great place to put your tools and parts.
Spark plugs are "gapped" from the factory for you - there is no need to change the spark plug gap. If they are not gaped for you, the gap is: 0.043 (1.1).
