Marcus Tullius Cicero was a Roman politician, lawyer, scholar, philosopher, writer, and academic skeptic. He was born on January 3, 106 BC, and died on December 7, 43 BC.
His long list of writings includes treatises on rhetoric, philosophy, and politics. He is known as one of Rome's best speakers and writers, and he created what became known as Ciceronian rhetoric. Cicero received his education both at Rome and Athens. He was from a wealthy Roman equestrian family and was elected consul in 63 BC.
His influence on the Latin language was huge. He wrote more than three-quarters of the Latin literature that is still around today and is known to have been written during his lifetime. It has been said that later prose, in Latin and other European languages up until the 19th century, was either a reaction against or a return to his style. Cicero translated the main arguments of Hellenistic philosophy into Latin and created a Latin philosophical vocabulary with new words like evidential, humanitas, qualitas, quantitas, and essentia, making him stand out as a translator and philosopher.
The collection of 900 letters published after his death is probably the most interesting thing he did. These give a first-hand account of social and political life in Rome's upper classes and show how a sensitive and emotional man's feelings changed over time.
Petrarch's rediscovery of Cicero's letters is often credited with starting the 14th-century Renaissance in public affairs, humanism, and classical Roman culture. His works are some of the most important in world culture, and they are still one of the most important sources for writing and revising Roman history, especially the last days of the Roman Republic.
Cicero's ideas and insights about life have been passed down through the ages and still make sense to people today. Some of his comments about politics and people remind us that people are the same even though times change.

2. Any man can make mistakes, but only the fool persists in his error.
3. What society does to its children, so will its children do to society.
4. Within the character of the citizen, lies the welfare of the nation.
5. The greater the difficulty, the greater the glory.
6. Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others.
7. The higher we are placed, the more humbly we should walk.
8. It is not enough to acquire wisdom; it is necessary to employ it.
9. Friendship improves happiness and abates misery, by the doubling of our joy and the dividing of our grief.
10. If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.

Marcus Tullius Cicero, a famous Roman orator and politician from 106 to 43 BC, was born in Arpinum to a wealthy family. He went to school in Rome because his parents wanted him to have a public career, and by the year 70, he had become the most respected lawyer in Rome. In the meantime, he started a political career and was elected praetor for the year 66.
One of the most consistent things about his political life was how much he cared about Pompeii. As a politician, his biggest mistake was that he never gave in. As a statesman, he had more noble and selfless ideals than most of his peers.
Cicero was the best Roman orator because he had many techniques and spoke Latin well. He did what everyone else did and published his speeches, but he also wrote much about the theory and practice of rhetoric, religion, moral and political philosophy. He was a major contributor to the development of the Latin hexameter.
His works have greatly impacted culture worldwide, and they are still one of the most important sources for writing and revising Roman history, especially the last days of the Roman Republic.

Heraclitus Of Ephesus Quotes to Transform Your Life
Hey Guys! Welcome! In today's video, I'll share some of Heraclitus of Ephesus famous quotes that will help you to transform your life.

Heraclitus of Ephesus, a pre-Socratic philosopher who lived from about 500 BC to 450 BC, is known as the "Father of Dialectic." He was called "Obscuro" because the work attributed to him by Diógenes Laércio, On Nature, was written in a style that was hard to understand and similar to oracular sentences.
The one book he is said to have written has been lost. Thus, little of his life can be pieced together. His ideas live on in the short quotes and sayings attributed to him by later authors.
The central idea of Heraclitus's philosophy is that opposites are connected and that everything changes. Heraclitus was primarily interested in explaining the world around him. He also stressed the importance of people living together in peace.
He said that most people didn't understand logos (Greek for "reason"), the universal principle through which all things are connected and all-natural events happen, and so they lived like dreamers with a false view of the world. Heraclitus said that the connection between opposites was a significant sign of logos. For example, health and illness are both ways of describing each other. Good and evil, hot and cold, and other opposites are all connected similarly.
His understanding of how opposites relate to each other helped him deal with how chaotic and different the world was, and he said that the world is a coherent system in which a change in another eventually balances a shift in one direction.
His theories about the universe made him a famous Greek philosopher. Like the Milesians who came before him, Thales with water, Anaximander with Apeiron, and Anaximenes with air, Heraclitus chose fire as the archer, the essential element from which the other elements came. He also thought that logos gave the world structure, with fire being the primary material principle of a well-structured universe.
In today's video, we'll look at some of the best Heraclitus quotes from this Greek philosopher providing an insight into his thoughts and sayings.
▶️Some of the best Heraclitus of Ephesus Quotes:
• Abundance of knowledge does not teach men to be wise.
• It is in changing that we find purpose.
• Man's character is his fate.
• Silence is healing.
• The only thing that is constant is change.
• Those who love wisdom must investigate many things.
• No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it is not the same river and he is not the same man.
• Thinking is a sacred disease and sight is deceptive.
• Eyes and ears are bad witnesses to men having barbarian souls.
• The soul is undiscovered though explored forever to a depth beyond report.

Heraclitus was a Greek philosopher living in Ephesus, Asia Minor (Turkey), in the sixth century BCE. He is one of the most well-known Greek philosophers who lived before Socrates.
His ideas have influenced many thinkers, including Plato, Aristotle, the Stoics, Schopenhauer, Nietzsche, Hegel, Marx, Heidegger, Jung, Kafka, Lenin, and others. The only remnants of his work are cryptic and frequently paradoxical snippets. This obscurity and mystery have earned him the nicknames "the Obscure," "the Riddler," and "the Dark One."
Heraclitus's philosophy said that everything was in a state of constant change. Heraclitus also said that fire was the most essential natural element. He was the first Greek philosopher to use the word "Logos" to describe the universe's order.
In this video, we'll look at Heraclitus's life and work through some of his most famous quotes. His quotes are still well-known, not just among students of ancient philosophy but also among ordinary people.

Native Americans have lived harmoniously with nature and their communities for thousands of years. According to a study by the National Congress of American Indians, Native Americans have the highest poverty rate of any ethnic group in the United States.
This shows how important community is and how we must support and lift each other. Many tribes didn't have written language, so their traditions were told orally from generation to generation.
Through this oral tradition, the tribal elders' wisdom and quotes about community and respect were passed on to the younger members of the tribe. This gave them lessons to learn as they grew up.
Their famous quotes have been written down, and people from any culture can learn from them.
These 5 Native American quotes will help you appreciate your life, community, and the people you know and love.
▶️The best 5 of Native American quotes:
1. Do not let yesterday use up too much of today.
2. It is less of a problem to be poor than to be dishonest.

Wise Native American Quotes and Sayings on Life’s Purpose

The different Native American tribes had a culture that showed deep respect for nature. They believed that everything was connected. This belief is called "animism," which means "life-ism."
And it's true that most, if not all, Native Americans see the whole universe as alive, meaning that it moves and can do things. But more than that, indigenous Americans tend to see this living world as a fantastic and beautiful creation that makes us feel very grateful and indebted and forces us to act as if we are related.
Native American religion is based on overwhelming love and gratitude for the gifts of the Creator and the earth/universe.
But many Native Americans believed in the "Great Spirit," which can also be translated as "Great Mystery" or "Great Medicine." This creator god was always present in all forms of life and nature.
So, they tried to be part of this Great Harmony by caring for, respecting, and loving their environment.
Their way of thinking about how we relate to ourselves is also exciting and ties into some basic ideas of modern psychology.
The Native Americans knew that the physical and spiritual worlds were not separate, and they worked to be in touch with their most intuitive parts. They relied more on their instincts and feelings.
Due to invasion, conquest, and genocide, many of this culture's pearls of wisdom and their languages, rites, and stories were lost. But if you look at their history, you'll find great lessons that are still true today and may not only help you live a fuller life but are also excellent moral guides.
Native American quotes are a great way to learn from the past and use that knowledge to change the future. Native American nations have a rich oral history from before colonization. Part of that history has given us a lot of quotes from our ancestors that continue to provide us with strength and inspiration. We've listed some beautiful quotes from famous Native American leaders and warriors about the Spirit, the Self, Life, and Oneness.
▶️Here are some of best Native American Quotes:
• Do not let yesterday use up too much of today.
• It is less of a problem to be poor than to be dishonest.
• It is easy to be brave from a distance.
• We will be known forever by the tracks we leave.
• If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies in yourself.
• Before eating, always take time to thank the food.
• It is better to have less thunder in the mouth and more lightning in the hand.
• Tell me and I forget. Show me, and I may not remember. Involve me, and I will understand.
• It is no longer good enough to cry peace; we must act peace, live peace and live in peace.
• Man’s law changes with his understanding of man. Only the laws of the spirit remain always the same.

Famous XUNZI Quotes to Understand The Human Nature ✨

Philosophy has been central to human history from ancient China to today. Over the centuries, famous Chinese philosophers have developed exciting and compelling ideas and made important contributions to many sectors of China. Xunzi is one of the most famous Chinese philosophers. He significantly contributed to China's history, culture, and social structures.
His real name was Xun Kuang, but people usually call him Xunzi (Master Xun), an honorific suffix added to the names of many philosophers. We don't know much about his life except that he was born in the state of Zhao, now Shanxi Province in north-central China, and spent some time at the Zhixia Academy of Philosophers in Qi, which the ruler of that eastern state ran.
Later, because of rumors, he moved south to the state of Chu, where he became the magistrate of a small district in 255 BCE and then died in retirement.
The Xunzi, Xunzi's most famous book, had a significant impact on the history of Confucian thought, which is why he is important to the history of Confucian philosophy. This book has 32 chapters, and most of them are thought to be written by him, without changes or fabrications made later.
An essential step in the evolution of Chinese philosophy may be traced back to Xunzi's writings. The style of earlier philosophical literature, like the Analects, Daodejing, Mencius, and Zhuangzi, based on stories and sayings, needed to be revised to explain fully and convincingly the complicated philosophical debates of Xunzi's time.
Xunzi was the first great Confucian philosopher to write his well-organized writings and have his disciples write down his sayings and conversations. In his book, he introduced a stricter way of writing that emphasized developing a topic, using strong reasoning, giving details, and being transparent.
Xunzi's most famous dictum is that "the nature of man is evil; his goodness is only acquired training." What Xunzi preached was essentially a philosophy of culture. He said that human nature is made up of instinctual drives that are selfish, chaotic, and antisocial when left to their own devices.
But society as a whole has a civilizing effect on the individual, gradually training and shaping him until he becomes a disciplined, morally aware person. The most important parts of this process are the li (ceremonies and rituals, rules of social behavior, and traditional customs) and the music.
His philosophical writings and written works are still around today, and his teachings significantly impacted the Han Dynasty's important state doctrines.
In today's video, we'll look at some of the famous Xunzi quotes from this great Chinese philosopher providing an insight into his thoughts and sayings on human nature.
▶️Some of the best Xunzi Quotes to Understand The Human Nature:
• The person attempting to travel two roads at once will get nowhere.
• If there is no dull and determined effort, there will be no brilliant achievement.
• Pride and excess bring disaster for man.
• The noble person uses things; the lesser man is used by things.
• Man’s nature is evil; goodness is the result of conscious activity.
• Those whose character is mean and vicious will rouse others to animosity against them.
• The coming of honor or disgrace must be a reflection of one’s inner power.
• I once tried thinking for an entire day, but I found it less valuable than one moment of study.
• If knowledge and foresight are too penetrating and deep, unify them with ease and sincerity.
• If the quickness of the mind and the fluency of the tongue are too punctilious and sharp, moderate them in your activity and rest.

Along with Confucius and Mencius, Xunzi was one of the founders of Confucian philosophy. In many ways, he defends Confucianism in a more complete and sophisticated way than Mencius.
Xunzi lived near the end of the Warring States period (453-221 BCE), often seen as when most later Chinese philosophy was formed. It was a time with many different ideas, similar to ancient Greece, so Xunzi was familiar with many other points of view.
In response to some of the other thinkers of the time, he put together a systematic version of Confucianism that includes ethics, metaphysics, political theory, the philosophy of language, and a well-developed philosophy of education.
Xunzi is known for thinking that ritual is essential for changing people's original nature. Human nature doesn't have a moral compass built in, and when left to its own devices, it leads to conflict and chaos. This is why Xunzi describes human nature as bad. Rituals are, therefore, an essential part of a stable society. He focused on how people create the roles and practices of an orderly society, and he gave Heaven and Nature a much smaller role as sources of order or morality than most other thinkers of the time.
Even though his ideas were later seen as outside of Confucian orthodoxy, they still significantly impacted China and continue to be interesting today.
In today's video, we'll look at 5 of the best Xunzi quotes from this great Chinese philosopher providing an insight into his thoughts and sayings on matters of wisdom, humanity, destiny, compassion and life.

Plotinus was a Hellenistic Platonist philosopher born and raised in Roman Egypt. Plotinus is considered the originator of Neoplatonism by current scholars. Ammonius Saccas, a Platonist and self-taught philosopher, was his mentor.
The term "Neoplatonism" was developed by 19th-century historians to refer to Plotinus and his philosophy, which had a tremendous impact on Late Antiquity, the Middle Ages, and the Renaissance.
Much of what we know about Plotinus' life comes from Porphyry's introduction to his edition of Plotinus' most famous book, The Enneads. Plotinus discussed the One, the Intellect, and the Soul in his metaphysical writings as three basic ideas.
His writings have been influential for hundreds of years on Pagan, Jewish, Christian, Gnostic, and early Islamic metaphysicians and mystics. For example, his work on the duality of the One in two metaphysical states has influenced mainstream theological ideas in religions.
In today's video, we'll look at 5 of the best Plotinus quotes from this roman philosopher providing an insight into his thoughts and sayings.
▶️5 of the best Plotinus quotes:
• Each one of us is part of the soul of the universe.
• The soul that beholds beauty becomes beautiful.
• Knowing ourselves, we are beautiful; in self-ignorance, we are ugly.
• Knowledge, if it does not determine action, is dead to us.

Plotinus (204 or 205 – 270 C.E.) is the founder of Neoplatonism. He is one of the most influential ancient philosophers after Plato and Aristotle.
Like all of his followers after him, Plotinus thought of himself simply as a Platonist, that is, as a philosopher who explains and defends the philosophical position that Plato best described.
Neoplatonism, a philosophical tradition derived from the ideas of Plato, developed its distinct shape in Egypt through the ideas of the Alexandrian philosopher Ammonius Saccas in the third century but reached its zenith in the works of his follower Plotinus, who was mostly active in Rome.
Plotinus is regarded as the originator of Neoplatonism. Plotinus devised a sophisticated spiritual cosmology encompassing three fundamental elements: the One, the Intelligence, and the Soul, based on his understanding of Plato. Plotinus says that all existence comes from how these three Beings work together to make things happen.
The principle of emanation is not just a cause-and-effect relationship but also a way to think about things. In his system, Plotinus makes intellectual contemplation a productive principle; it is through contemplation that all things are said to be one, all-encompassing reality. In this way, Plotinus is not a strict pantheist, but his system doesn't allow the idea of "creation ex nihilo" (creation out of nothingness).
In addition to his theory of the universe, Plotinus also came up with a unique approach to how sense perception and knowledge work. This theory is based on the idea that the mind actively shapes or orders the things it perceives rather than just passively receiving the data of sense experience.
In today's video, we'll look at some of the best Plotinus quotes from this roman philosopher providing an insight into his thoughts and sayings.
▶️Some of best Plotinus Quotes:
• Each one of us is part of the soul of the universe.
• The soul that beholds beauty becomes beautiful.
• Knowing ourselves, we are beautiful; in self-ignorance, we are ugly.
• Knowledge, if it does not determine action, is dead to us.
• You can only apprehend the Infinite by a faculty that is superior to reason.
• We must close our eyes and invoke a new manner of seeing, a wakefulness that is the birthright of us all, though few put it to use.
• Fear must be entirely banished. The purified soul will fear nothing.
• The purification of the Soul is simply to allow it to be alone; it is pure when it keeps no company.
• All things are filled full of signs, and it is a wise man who can learn about one thing from another.
• To set oneself above intellect is immediately to fall outside it.

Surprisingly Deep Quotes from Ancient Greek Poet Homer✨
Hey Guys! Welcome! In today’s video, I’ll share some surprisingly deep quotes from ancient Greek poet Homer!

Homer is traditionally considered the author of the ancient Greek epic poems "The Iliad" and "The Odyssey," widely thought to be the first pieces of Western literature that still exist. Many people think of him as the first and most important of all the Greek writers and the person who started the whole Western literary tradition.
He was an early poet who lived at a turning point in the development of Greek society from pre-literate to literate, from the centuries-old bardic tradition of oral verse to the then-new technique of alphabetic writing. He was born somewhere between the 12th and 8th centuries BC.
The historical Homer remains a mystery, with no concrete evidence suggesting his existence. But of the many traditions and myths that have grown up around him, the most common and likely one is that he was born in Smyrna and died on the Cycladic island of Ios.
Homer's Iliad is about a fight between King Agamemnon and the warrior Achilles in the last year of the Trojan War. In The Odyssey, the king of Ithaca, Odysseus, tells the story of his ten-year journey back to his home after Troy falls. Homeric Greek, also called "Epic Greek," is the language of the poems. It is a literary language that combines parts of the Ionic and Aeolic dialects from different times, with the Eastern Ionic influence being the strongest. Most scholars agree that poetry was first passed down through word of mouth.
Homer's epic poems greatly impacted ancient Greek culture and education, helping spread ideas of bravery, glory, and honor. Plato just thought of Homer as the person who "taught Greece." In Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy, Virgil calls Homer "Poet sovereign," which means "king of all poets." In the preface to his translation of the Iliad, Alexander Pope says that Homer has always been seen as the "greatest of poets." Since ancient times, Homer's epics have been a source of ideas for many famous books, songs, paintings, and movies.
In today's video, we have listed some of the best quotes of Homer. This Homer quotes reveal how the writer felt about love, friendship, humanity, and the Gods.
▶️Some of the best Homer Quotes:
1. For a friend with an understanding heart is worth no less than a brother.

3. There is a time for many words, and there is also a time for sleep.
4. The charity that is a trifle to us can be precious to others.
5. How prone to doubt, how cautious are the wise!
6. Each man delights in the work that suits him best.
7. Hateful to me as the gates of Hades, is that man who hides one thing in his heart and speaks another.
8. He knew how to say many false things that were like true sayings.
9. The difficulty is not so great to die for a friend as to find a friend worth dying for.
10. Youth is quick in feeling, but weak in judgment.

Robert Oppenheimer was an American theorist of physics born on April 22, 1904, and died on February 18, 1967. Oppenheimer was a professor of physics at the University of California, Berkeley. During World War II, he ran the Los Alamos Laboratory and is often called the "father of the atomic bomb" for his role in the Manhattan Project, which created the first nuclear weapons.
Oppenheimer was one of the people who watched the Trinity test in New Mexico, where the first atomic bomb exploded successfully on July 16, 1945. Later, he said the explosion reminded him of a line from the Bhagavad Gita: "Now I have become Death, the destroyer of worlds." In August 1945, these weapons were used in the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
After the war ended, Oppenheimer became the head of the influential General Advisory Committee of the newly formed United States Atomic Energy Commission. He used his position to push for international control of nuclear power to stop the spread of nuclear weapons and a nuclear arms race with the Soviet Union.
Oppenheimer's physics work included the Born–Oppenheimer approximation for molecular wave functions, work on the theory of electrons and positrons, the Oppenheimer–Phillips process for nuclear fusion, and the first prediction of quantum tunneling.
Together with his students, he also made important contributions to the modern theories of neutron stars, black holes, quantum mechanics, quantum field theory, and the way cosmic rays interact. As a teacher and supporter of science, he is remembered as one of the founders of the American School of theoretical physics, which became famous worldwide in the 1930s. After World War II, he was named director of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey.
Without question, he is one of the most influential men in history, and although he did not have a massive public presence, he occasionally spoke out on matters close to his heart.

ZEN Master Huineng Quotes to Awaken and Enlighten You 🧘

Dajian Huineng was born on February 27, 638, and died on August 28, 713. He is also known as the Sixth Patriarch or Sixth Ancestor of Chan. He is a mythical but essential figure in the early history of Chinese Chan Buddhism.
Tradition says he was an uneducated layman who suddenly became enlightened after knowing the Diamond Sutra. Despite his lack of formal education, he demonstrated his wisdom to the fifth patriarch, Daman Hongren, who allegedly chose Huineng as his genuine heir rather than Yuquan Shenguiu, as he was widely known.
Scholars in the 20th century found that the story of Huineng's Buddhist career was probably made up by the monk Heze Shenhui, who said he was one of Huineng's disciples and was very critical of Shenxiu's teaching.
Huineng founded the "Sudden Enlightenment" Southern Chan Buddhist school, emphasizing the immediate and direct achievement of Buddhist enlightenment. The Platform Sutra of the Sixth Patriarch, which is said to be a record of his teachings, is a fundamental text in the East Asian Buddhist tradition.
Huineng's talks on inherent enlightenment, sudden awakening, and the non-dual nature of wisdom and meditation have echoed through later generations of Chan teachers and continue to present difficult philosophical challenges.
With that in mind, we've compiled a list of some of Dajian Huineng's best quotes. These quotes are to awaken and enlighten you and will stay with you for a long time.
▶️Here are some of the best Huineng Quotes:
• Because wisdom is innate, we can all enlighten ourselves.
• Look within! The secret is inside you.
• Within our impure mind the pure is to be found.
• By amending our mistakes, we get wisdom. By defending our faults, we betray an unsound mind.
• To be bigoted and argue with others, is to subject one's essence of mind to the bitterness of mundane existence.
• The meaning of life is to see.
• A finger points at the moon, but the moon is not at the tip of the finger. Words point at the truth, but the truth is not in words.
• The truth is to be lived, not just mouthed.
• Confused by thoughts, we experience duality in life. Unencumbered by ideas, the enlightened see the one reality.
• Before you think good or evil, who are you?

Huineng was a crucial figure in the history of Buddhism. Huineng (638–713) is known as the 6th Patriarch of Chan Buddhism and started what became the most popular school of Zen in China. He was born in the southwest Chinese province of Kwangtung and died there at the age of 76.
We only knew that he was a student of Hongren and taught "Chan" in the far south of China. In 730, Shenhui initiated a publicity campaign promoting him as the sixth Chan patriarch. Shenhui practically single-handedly fabricated "Huineng" as the leader of the Chan School due to a lack of information. Also, he is closely linked to the Platform Sutra of the Sixth Patriarch, one of the most important texts in Chinese Buddhism.
Huineng's life has been the subject of a huge amount of folklore that has grown over the centuries. His life reflects the rise of Chan, a Chinese version of Buddhism that spread throughout East Asia and became a major religious and cultural force there.
In today's video, we'll look at four of Huineng's best quotes, giving us an idea of what he thought and said about wisdom, humanity, life, destiny, compassion, and life itself.
▶️Here are 4 of the best Huineng quotes:
• Because wisdom is innate, we can all enlighten ourselves.
• Look within! The secret is inside you.

Thought Provoking Philosopher Lucretius Quotes to Inspire You

Titus Lucretius Carus was a Roman philosopher and poet. He lived around the year 100 BC. De Rerum Natura, On the Nature of Things, his major work, is regarded by some as the greatest Latin poetic masterpiece.
His poem, "De rerum natura," explains Epicureanism's ideas, including atomism and cosmology. Lucretius was the first Roman writer known to have written about Epicurean philosophy.
Lucretius discusses the basic ideas of atomism, the nature of the mind and soul, how sensations and thoughts work, and how the world and its things have changed over time, and he explains a wide range of celestial and terrestrial things. The universe described in the poem works according to these physical laws. It is guided by fortuna, which means "chance," not by the traditional Roman gods and the religious explanations of the natural world.
Lucretius was one of the first to think about what would become the study of evolution. He believed that nature experiments over eons, and the organisms that adapt best to their environment have the best chance of surviving. Living things survived because their strength, speed, or intelligence matched how their environment changed.
Before Charles Darwin's On the Origin of Species came out in 1859, Lucretius' natural philosophy was one of the best examples of a non-teleological, mechanical explanation of how life began and evolved.
Poet Titus Lucretius Carus was a fearless pioneer and creative thinker deserving the title "philosopher" for his contributions to human knowledge. His ideas, especially his theories about evolution and naturalistic explanations of all natural phenomena, have had long and important effects on western science and philosophy.
He comes across as someone who takes great pleasure in nature, appreciating the outdoors and changing seasons. He believed in what Epicurus said, and it seems he died before his most important work, De Rerum Natura was finished.
We have compiled a list of some of Titus Lucretius Carus's best quotes. These quotes are thought-provoking and motivational. And if you're looking for even more wisdom, check out these uplifting quotes that will make you more productive at work.
▶️Here are some of best Titus Lucretius Carus Quotes:
• The greatest wealth is to live content with little, for there is never want where the mind is satisfied.
• Nothing can be created out of nothing.
• No matter how difficult a task may look... Persistence and steady action will get you through.
• The water hollows out the stone, not by force but drop by drop.
• The old must always make way for the new, and one thing must be built out of the ruins of another.
• Look at a man in the midst of doubt & danger and you will learn in his hour of adversity what he really is.
• Life is one long struggle in the dark.
• Time changes the nature of the whole world; Everything passes from one state to another, and nothing stays like itself.
• It is great wealth to a soul to live frugally with a contented mind.

Titus Lucretius Carus was a Roman poet and the author of the philosophical epic De Rerum Natura (On the Nature of the Universe), which completely explains the Epicurean worldview. Not much is known about the poet's life, but his poem clearly shows his character and personality.
The stress and turmoil of his time are a background to his work and help explain why he was attracted to and committed to Epicureanism, which values intellectual pleasure and mental peace and has a dim view of a world full of social strife and political violence.
His epic comprises six books and tries to explain the universe's physical origin, structure, and future. Theories about the atomic structure of matter and the emergence and evolution of life forms are included in his epic. These concepts would later serve as a fundamental basis and background for developing Western science.

Ancient Greek Philosopher Xenophanes Quotes ✨

The ancient Greek philosopher Xenophanes was born in a city called Colophon in Ionia, which is now Turkey. Most modern scholars say he was born between 570 and 560 BC.
He was a classical poetry orator and critic who left his land at the age of 25 and spent the next 67 years in other Greek lands, traveling far and wide to deliver his message and fulfilling his need for knowledge and entertainment, dying at or after the age of 92.
He talked about the limits of human knowledge and pointed out in an obvious way that beliefs should be seen as opinions, not the truth, to avoid the problems of dogmatism.
He was the most talked about of all the Pre-Socratic philosophers. All Greek thinkers felt his influence until the time of Aristotle, who labeled him as the founder of Eleatic philosophy. Rather than appealing to divine or mythological explanations, Xenophanes researched interpretations for natural phenomena such as clouds and rainbows based on fundamental principles.
Xenophanes' legacy is that he put reason at the center of Greek moral and religious thought, which led to a systematic way of thinking about science.
As a pioneer in epistemology, he also explained the differences between different kinds of knowledge and belief. Later philosophers, such as the Eleatics and the Pyrrhonists, viewed Xenophanes as the originator of their theories and interpreted his work in terms of those concepts; however, recent scholarship contradicts these claims.
The words of the great ancient Greeks have echoed through time keeping them relevant even in the 21st century and in today's video, we'll look at the best Xenophanes quotes.
▶️ Here are some of the best Xenophanes quotes:
• No man knows distinctly anything, and no man ever will.
• Pure truth no man has seen, norshall ever know.
• It isn't right to judge strength as better than good wisdom.
• It takes a wise man to recognize a wise man.
• For all things come from earth, and all things end by becoming earth.
• Even if a man should chance to speak the most complete truth, yet he himself does not know it; all things are wrapped in appearances.
• God is one, greatest of gods and men, not like mortals in body or thought.
• No human being will ever know the truth, for even if they happen to say it by chance, they would not even know they had done so.
• Truly the gods have not from the beginning revealed all things to mortals, but by long seeking, mortals discover what is better.
• This upper limit, of earth at our feet is visible and touches the air, but below it reaches to infinity.

Xenophanes of Colophon was a Greek philosopher, theologian, poet, and social and religious life critic. Xenophanes was always on the move. At age 25, he left Ionia and traveled around Greece for the next 67 years.
Some scholars say he went into exile in Sicily. Fragments of his poetry cited by later Greek authors are the source of our knowledge of his thoughts.
As a poet, Xenophanes was known for his critical style. Some of his poems are considered to be the first satires. He also composed poetry verses that criticized the traditional societal values of riches, extravagance, and athletic victory.
In his works, he also criticized Homer and other poets for making the gods seem foolish or morally weak. His poetry has yet to be preserved in its full context; only pieces of his work have been preserved as citations by later thinkers and literary critics.
People consider Xenophanes to be one of the most influential philosophers before Socrates. Xenophanes was a highly innovative thinker who investigated explanations for natural phenomena like clouds and rainbows from basic principles rather than appealing to heavenly or mythological explanations.
As a pioneer in epistemology, he also clarified the differences between different kinds of knowledge and belief. Later philosophers, such as the Eleatics and the Pyrrhonists, also saw Xenophanes as the founder of their ideas and interpreted his work in terms of those ideas, but modern scholarship disputes these claims.

▶️Subscribe to Rumble 👉 https://rumble.com/c/c-2135790
In China, Mencius is frequently referred to as the Second Sage, which means that, according to the Confucian tradition, he is only the successor to Confucius. He was born in the state of Zou in the year 372 BCE.
Mencius' actual name was Meng Ke. "Mengzi" means "master Meng." When Jesuit scholars started translating Chinese texts into European languages, they changed his name to "Mencius." Like Confucius, it is said that Meng Ke lost his father when he was young, so his mother took care of him.
As a follower of the Confucian school, Mencius focused on moral, social, and political philosophy. He was a pivotal figure in the effort to define Confucianism.
Zisi was the grandson of the great Confucius, and Mencius learned from him. For almost four decades, this wise Chinese man visited every corner of China, advising and sharing his wisdom with the country's several emperors.
During the Song dynasty, several intellectuals rejected Mencius' understanding of Confucianism because they saw it as too conservative and conventional. Followers of Mencius were powerful feudal lords who thought they were more important than Confucius.
The book "The Mencius" describes his interactions with the kings of China. It features lengthy conversations, intricate debates, and fascinating text. Though he acknowledged the importance of the monarchy, Mencius believed that the regular citizen should be respected more.
Historians think he lived at the same time as famous philosophers like Xun Zi, Zhuangzi, Gaozi, and Plato. Mencius resigned from politics near the end of his life, frustrated that his suggestions were falling on deaf ears. He returned to Zou, where he died in his 70s or 80s.
In today's video, we'll look at some of the best Mencius quotes from this great philosopher providing an insight into his thoughts and sayings on matters of wisdom, humanity, life, destiny, compassion and life.
▶️Here are some of the best Mencius quotes:
1. Friendship is one mind in two bodies.
2. A man must first despise himself, and then others will despise him.
3. He who wishes to be benevolent will not be rich.
4. All men have in themselves that which is truly honorable. Only they do not think of it.
5. He who loves others is constantly loved by them. He who respects others is constantly respected by them.
6. I dislike death, however, there are some things I dislike more than death. Therefore, there are times when I will not avoid danger.
7. Never has a man who has bent himself been able to make others straight.
8. He who goes to the bottom of his own heart knows his own nature; and knowing his own nature, he knows heaven.
9. If you know that a thing is unrighteous, then use all dispatch in putting an end to it – why wait till next year?
10. If the King loves music, it is well with the land.

Mencius was a famous Chinese philosopher during the 2nd century BC. He was from the Confucian school, and ethics, social, and political philosophy were his main areas of interest.
He was one of the most important people to explain Confucianism. Mencius learned from Zisi, who was the grandson of the great Confucius. He was a wise Chinese man who traveled around China for over 40 years, sharing his knowledge and advising different rulers.
Neo-Confucians of the Song dynasty thought that Mencius' interpretation of Confucianism was traditional and conformist. Mencius' followers were influential feudal lords who thought they were more powerful than Confucius.
The book "The Mencius" records his conversations with the rulers of China. It has long, complicated dialogues, interesting arguments, and prose. Mencius didn't believe in the absolute power of the monarchy and instead praised the power of the average citizen.

Famous Medieval Quotes of Anicius Boethius ✨
Hey Guys! Welcome! In today’s video, I’ll share some of Anicius Manlius Severinus Boethius famous medieval quotes.
▶️Subscribe to YouTube 👉 https://www.youtube.com/@MQ22_official
▶️Subscribe to Rumble 👉 https://rumble.com/c/c-2135790
Anicius Manlius Severinus Boethius was a Roman senator, consul, magister officiorum, historian, and philosopher in the early Middle Ages. He was a crucial figure in translating Greek classics into Latin, a forerunner of the Scholastic movement, and, along with Cassiodorus, one of the sixth century's two most prominent Christian scholars.
Boethius was born in Rome just a few years after the collapse of the Western Roman Empire. He was a member of the Anicii family, but when the sudden family declined, he was left without a family and was raised by Quintus Aurelius Memmius Symmachus, who later became a consul.
After learning Latin and Greek as a young man, Boethius became a well-known politician in the Ostrogothic Kingdom. He was a senator by age 25 and a consul by age 33. Later, Theodoric the Great chose him to be his personal advisor.
Boethius wanted to translate all of the Greek classics for Western scholars so that they could understand how the ideas of Plato and Aristotle fit with Christian theology.
Among others, he published numerous transcriptions and commentaries of the works of Nicomachus, Porphyry, and Cicero and wrote extensively on music, mathematics, and theology.
Even though his translations were not finished because of his untimely death, he was a big reason Aristotle's works were still around during the Renaissance.
He made the Aristotelian idea of the independence of each field of knowledge in a way that could justify Aristotelian-style natural science and ethics even though they disagreed with the revealed truth.
All of these writings, which significantly impacted the Middle Ages, were heavily influenced by the ideas of Greek Neoplatonists like Porphyry and Iamblichus.
Boethius was not just an intermediary, though. He was an independent thinker but part of a tradition that puts little weight on philosophical originality.
In today's video, we'll discuss about Boethius quotes to learn more about this great Roman senator, consul, magister officiorum, historian, and philosopher ideas and thoughts.
▶️Here are some of Boethius Quotes:
• The good are always strong, the bad always weak and impotent.
• Who would give a law to lovers? Love is unto itself a higher law.
• Nothing is miserable unless you think it is so.
• In every kind of adversity, the bitterest part of a man’s affliction is to remember that he once was happy.
• Music is part of us, and either ennobles or degrades our behavior.
• A man content to go to heaven alone will never go to heaven.
• Why, O my friends, did ye so often puff me up, telling me that I was fortunate? For he that is fallen low did never firmly stand.
• No man is rich who shakes and groans convinced that he needs more.
• As far as possible, join faith to reason.
• If God imposes order upon all things, then there is no opportunity for random events.
