Our Lady of Lourdes Pilgrimage 2023 EPIC VERSION
This video is dedicated to the youth of St Anthony's parish of Wanganui.
Every year, our parish undertakes a 20km pilgrimage from Peka Peka beach to the massive statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Paraparaumu, erected in 1958 for the centenary of the apparitions of Our Lady to St Bernadette at Lourdes. The Intentions for every annual pilgrimage were:
1. The reign of Christ the King in New Zealand
2. The special protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary over all our faithful, especially for the unborn and elderly.
3. To be protected from communism and all dictators.
4. for the return of all to the Traditional Mass and the Faith of all times.
5. The conversion of sinners and perseverance in our Catholic Faith.
6. The triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in New Zealand.

St Anthony's Medieval Fayre
Every year, St Anthony's School and Parish hosts its annual Medieval Fayre, showcasing an amazing array of medieval games, entertainment and food.
This year saw the addition of a pirate ship and the "Gauntlet", an assault device which challenged participants to pass through swinging arms mounted with razor-blade tips (in reality, imitation foam).
I hope you enjoy this video of our most successful fayre ever!

The Feast of Christ the King
The feast of Christ the King was instituted by Pope Pius XI in 1925 (Qua Primas) to herald the reality that Jesus Christ is King over all creation, all nations and all humanity.
St Anthony's parish annually reaffirms in a public procession, the doctrine of Christ's social kingship.
