Blue Mountains National Park
Encompassing 267,954 hectares of wilderness within the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Greater Blue Mountains Area, the Blue Mountains National Park comprises six distinct areas, from the eastern gateway at Glenbrook to remote hidden corners near Oberon in the south-west. This is the landscape that so intrigued Charles Darwin during his visit in 1836, describing the views from Wentworth Falls as “exceedingly well worth visiting”. With hundreds of bushwalking trails, lookouts at iconic landmarks such as the world-famous Three Sisters, dozens of beautiful waterfalls, glowing sandstone escarpments and far-reaching views of blue-hazed valleys, you too will be captivated by the rugged beauty of this treasure on Sydney’s doorstep. Pack a picnic and enjoy a day trip to marvel at the Three Sister rock formation from Echo Point in Katoomba. Take in sweeping views of sheer sandstone cliffs and hazy blue Grose Valley from Govetts Leap in Blackheath. At Wentworth Falls you’re spoilt for choice with world-class lookouts, walks and waterfalls. The National Park is a walker’s paradise, boasting over 140km of track and trails. Why not walk a section of historic Prince Henry Cliffs walk, between Katoomba and Leura; or descend into the Grand Canyon. Combine a short walk with Aboriginal rock art or a swim in a natural pool near Glenbrook. Mountain bike riders can tackle the famed Woodford-Oaks trail, scenic Narrow Neck or Faulconbridge Ridge trail. There are also great opportunities for adventure sport tours, including abseiling, rock climbing and canyoning. Within two hours’ drive of Sydney, you can be camping by majestic eucalypts at Euroka, or watching a spectacular sunset at Perrys Lookdown. Seek solitude at remote Acacia Flat, or 4WD to Mount Werong or Burralow Creek for a night of stargazing and wildlife spotting.
Three Sister
The Three Sisters
The Three Sisters is the Blue Mountains’ most spectacular landmark. Located at Echo Point Katoomba, around 2.5 kilometres from the Great Western Highway, this iconic visitor attraction is experienced by millions of people each year. The Three Sisters is essentially an unusual rock formation representing three sisters who according to Aboriginal legend were turned to stone.
The character of the Three Sisters changes throughout the day and throughout the seasons as the sunlight brings out the magnificent colours. The Three Sisters is also floodlit until around 11pm each evening looking simply spectacular set against the black background of the night sky.
Each of the Three Sisters stands at 922, 918 & 906 metres tall, respectively.
Hanging rock
Hanging rock has fitted in so much over 6 million years… from a sacred place for local indigenous people and backdrop to Joan Lindsay’s book Picnic at Hanging Rock and Peter Weir’s film of the same title, to a colourful host of music concerts, markets and popular horse races, the Rock tells many tales about the history of the Macedon Ranges. Hanging Rock, or Mount Diogenes as it’s also known, is a rare volcanic formation near the townships of Woodend and Mount Macedon. One of the best examples of a volcanic plug or mamelon in the world, it has been exposed to considerable weathering and erosion, resulting in a conglomeration of unusual rock formations. Hanging Rock is about discovery and the Hanging Rock Discovery Centre is the perfect place to start.
Wentworth Falls
Wentworth Falls is one of the most beautiful towns within the Blue Mountains offering possibly the most spectacular bushwalks and views. Originally called ‘Weatherboard’ after the ‘Weatherboard Hut’ built in 1814, one year later the town was named ‘Jamison’s Valley’ by Governor Macquarie. In July 1867 the historic first railway journey in the Blue Mountains left Penrith station and travelled through to Weatherboard Station where the train terminated. It wasn’t until 1879 that the name was changed to Wentworth Falls in honour of William Charles Wentworth, one of the three famous explorers. When travelling from Bullaburra to Wentworth Falls you ascend Boddington Hill.
Visit Govetts Leap Lookout and Bridal Veil Falls Near Blackheath
Govetts Leap lets you take in sights of the Grose Valley, which IMHO is the most spectacular-looking valley in the Blue Mountains for its wrap-around sandstone cliffs, punctuated with dramatic waterfalls, canyons and rock formations. The lookout grounds are very tourist/traveller-friendly with a huge car park, toilets, picnic tables, a visitor centre and loads of vantage points from which to get your eyeful of the Grose. One big highlight is the view of Govetts Leap itself (aka Bridal Veil Falls or Govetts Leap Falls) – a beautiful avalanche of white water tumbling out from the cliff at Govetts Leap Brook.

Ascent: 310m
Maps: LPI Katoomba 8930-1S 1:25000
Quick info:
When people think of the Grand Canyon it usually evokes images of the Grand Canyon in the USA, a massive open gorge many kilometres wide and hundreds of kilometres long. The narrow slot canyons of the Blue Mountains are quite different.
Access
The track starts at the Grand Canyon Loop Track car park. There are also car parks at Evans Lookout, near the bottom of the canyon, and Neates Glen, near the top of the canyon. However, if you plan to do the loop, please use the Grand Canyon Loop Track car park to relieve pressure on the other two car parks. To get to the car park, take the signposted turnoff to Evans Lookout off the Great Western Hwy, about 1.7km before the traffic lights at Blackheath when you are coming from Katoomba. The car park is on the right-hand side of the road, 3.6km down the road.
Blue Mountains
A World Heritage-listed wilderness where ancient rock formations cast their golden glow over vast canyons carpeted in eucalypts. A natural wonderland where waterfalls plummet into valleys clad with rainforest, and breathtaking views stretch to the hazy blue horizon.
Three sisters
Part of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, the Three Sisters is an iconic formation that you must see at least once in your lifetime. There are different versions of the Aboriginal story of the Three Sisters, but what you’re bound to agree with is how truly spectacular it is Standing proudly in the land of the Gundungurra and Darug People, the traditional custodians of this declared Aboriginal Place, the imposing Three Sisters is best seen from Echo Point lookout, on the edge of the plateau above. These three weathered sandstone peaks, formed thousands of years ago through erosion, are set among the cliffs of the Jamison Valley. From the lookout, you’ll be able to see the Ruined Castle and Mount Solitary.
Grand Canyon Loop
Arresting sandstone walls, ever-present waterfalls and abundant native plants line the awesome Grand Canyon track near Blackheath in the Blue Mountains. The historic loop track takes you into the heart of this World Heritage-listed landscape. It's an intimate and adventurous track that walkers have trodden since 1907.
Hanging Rock Blue Mountains

With some of the most spectacular lookouts, waterfalls and bush trails in the Blue Mountains, the historic village of Wentworth Falls is a great base to explore the Blue Mountains National Park, whether that be simply admiring the sights or tackling them on an adrenaline-pumping adventure.
Walkthrough history:
In 1836, Charles Darwin visited this area, describing the terraced Wentworth Falls as “exceedingly worth visiting” and marvelling at the “grand bay of gulf… thickly covered with forest” below. You can now follow in the naturalist’s footsteps on the Charles Darwin Walk, starting from Wilson Park and continuing through open forest and hanging swamps to the pools and cascades that plummet into the Jamison Valley.

Varanasi, also called Benares, Banaras, or Kashi, city, southeastern Uttar Pradesh state, northern India. It is located on the left bank of the Ganges (Ganga) River and is one of the seven sacred cities of Hinduism. Varanasi is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Its early history is that of the first Aryan settlement in the middle Ganges valley. By the 2nd millennium BCE, Varanasi was a seat of Aryan religion and philosophy and was also a commercial and industrial centre famous for its muslin and silk fabrics, perfumes, ivory works, and sculpture. Varanasi was the capital of the kingdom of Kashi during the time of the Buddha (6th century BCE), who gave his first sermon nearby at Sarnath. The city remained a centre of religious, educational, and artistic activities as attested by the celebrated Chinese Buddhist pilgrim Xuanzang, who visited it in about 635 CE and said that the city extended for about 3 miles (5 km) along the western bank of the Ganges.

Varanasi has the finest river frontage in India, with miles of ghats, or steps, for religious bathing; an array of shrines, temples, and palaces rises tier on tier from the water’s edge. The inner streets of the city are narrow, winding, and impassable for motor traffic; the newer outer suburbs are more spacious and are laid out more systematically. The sacred city is bounded by a road known as Panchakosi; devout Hindus hope to walk that road and visit the city once in a lifetime and, if possible, to die there in old age. The site receives more than a million pilgrims each year. In addition, thousands of domestic and foreign tourists flock to the city annually, and tourism-related activities constitute a significant component of the local economy. Among the city’s numerous temples, the most venerated are those of Vishvanatha, dedicated to Shiva; that of Sankatmochana, dedicated to the monkey-god Hanuman; and that of Durga. The Durga Temple is famous for the swarms of monkeys that inhabit the large trees near it. The Great Mosque of Aurangzeb is another prominent religious building. Two of the more important modern temples are those of Tulasi Manas and the Vishvanatha on the campus of the Banaras Hindu University. The city has hundreds of other temples. At Sarnath, a few miles north of Varanasi, there are ruins of ancient Buddhist monasteries and temples as well as temples built by the Maha Bodhi Society and by the Chinese, Burmese, and Tibetan Buddhists. Varanasi has been a city of Hindu learning through the ages. There are innumerable schools and countless Brahman pandits (learned scholars), who are responsible for the continuation of traditional learning. There are three universities, including the large and important Banaras Hindu University (1915), and more than a dozen colleges and high schools. The city is a centre of arts and crafts and of music and dance. Varanasi is famous for its production of silks and brocades with gold and silver threadwork. A renowned carpet-weaving centre is at Bhadoi. Wooden toys, bangles made of glass, ivory work, and brassware are also produced in Varanasi. The city is host to numerous religious festivals. Mahashivaratri, the great night of the god Shiva, is celebrated by a procession from the Mahamrityunjaya Temple to the Kashi Vishvanath Temple. The Ganga festival in November or December is dedicated to the goddess of the Ganges River, considered sacred by all Hindus. Thousands of lamps are placed on the ghats and set afloat on the river. The festival of Bharat Milap in October or November commemorates the reunion of Lord Rama with his younger brother Bharat after 14 years of exile. A five-day festival of dhrupad (classical Indian vocal style) in March attracts renowned artists from all over India to the city’s Tulsi Ghat along the river. Varanasi is a major regional transportation hub. It is an important railway junction and is connected by highways to other cities in Uttar Pradesh and surrounding states. Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport lies about 12 miles (20 km) from the city centre.

Seven Wonders of the World Tour | 4k Travel Short Video #GenXTravelTube | Amit Dahiya Travel Videos
The Seven Wonders of the Modern World:
Great Wall of China, China:
In c. 220 B.C., under Qin Shi Huang, sections of earlier fortifications were joined together to form a united defence system against invasions from the north. Construction continued up to the Ming dynasty (1368–1644), when the Great Wall became the world's largest military structure. Its historic and strategic importance is matched only by its architectural significance.
Petra, Jordan
Petra is a famous archaeological site in Jordan's southwestern desert. Dating to around 300 B.C., it was the capital of the Nabatean Kingdom. Accessed via a narrow canyon called Al Siq, it contains tombs and temples carved into pink sandstone cliffs, earning its nickname, the "Rose City." Perhaps its most famous structure is 45m-high Al Khazneh, a temple with an ornate, Greek-style facade, and known as The Treasury.
Christ the Redeemer, Brazil
Christ the Redeemer is an Art Deco statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, created by French sculptor Paul Landowski and built by Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa, in collaboration with French engineer Albert Caquot. Romanian sculptor Gheorghe Leonida fashioned the face.
Machu Picchu, Peru
Machu Picchu is an Incan citadel set high in the Andes Mountains in Peru, above the Urubamba River valley. Built in the 15th century and later abandoned, it’s renowned for its sophisticated dry-stone walls that fuse huge blocks without the use of mortar, intriguing buildings that play on astronomical alignments and panoramic views. Its exact former use remains a mystery.
Chichen Itza, Mexico
Chichén Itzá is a complex of Mayan ruins on Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula. A massive step pyramid, known as El Castillo or Temple of Kukulcan, dominates the ancient city, which thrived from around 600 A.D. to the 1200s. Graphic stone carvings survive at structures like the ball court, Temple of the Warriors and the Wall of the Skulls. Nightly sound-and-light shows illuminate the buildings' sophisticated geometry.
Colosseum, Italy
The Colosseum is an oval amphitheatre in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy, just east of the Roman Forum. It is the largest ancient amphitheatre ever built, and is still the largest standing amphitheatre in the world today, despite its age.
Taj Mahal, India
Agra is a city on the banks of the Yamuna river in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, about 210 kilometres south of the national capital New Delhi. With a population of roughly 1.6 million, Agra is the fourth-most populous city in Uttar Pradesh and the twenty-third most populous city in India.
Great Pyramid of Giza (honorary candidate), Egypt
The Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest and largest of the pyramids in the Giza pyramid complex bordering present-day Giza in Greater Cairo, Egypt. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely intact.

#auburnbotanicalgarden #sydneytourism #travelvlog #genxtraveltube #travelwithamitdahiya #amitdahiya
The Auburn Botanic Gardens are a botanical garden located in Auburn (a suburb of Sydney), New South Wales, Australia. It was established in 1977 and covers an area of 9.7 hectares (24 acres). There are two lakes, a waterfall and bridges. Duck River winds through the garden. The garden is maintained by Cumberland Council. It is open daily, and there is a small entry fee on weekends. The Japanese gardens, which have hosted couples from overseas, are one of the main attractions.
The Auburn Botanic Gardens attract thousands of visitors each year, including a significant number from outside Australia, who come to enjoy the surrounds of the gardens, which provide a variety of flora and fauna. The topography of the site, which slopes gently towards the Duck River, has been altered to create different perspectives and microclimates. Three habitats are intended to provide an experience of 'Australia' in the city – the woodlands theatre, the native garden and billabong, and the Australian rainforest. The gardens were opened by New South Wales Governor Sir Roden Cutler on 11 September 1977.
