Freedom For Brett — Recommitting to God’s will after jail
“I suffered a lot of major consequences from my actions, but God has always given me another opportunity to come back to Him.”
At a young age, Brett started to find himself getting into trouble. Breaking through the windows of his elementary school, he knew there was something off with himself. Years later, he was diagnosed with anxiety and depression and began self-medicating with different substances.
Through multiple trips to juvie and rehab, Brett left Christianity, finding no reason or logic behind it. But after one encounter with a probation officer and another visit to rehab, he commits to asking God for help every single day. Little by little, he notices virtue being built in his life and relief from his struggle with mental health.

Freedom For Katherine — Surrendering to a God who suffers with us
We may never know why we suffer, but we are invited to surrender our suffering to a God who knows heartache better than anyone.
Katherine’s story begins at a young age, having felt clearly pursued by God even as a little girl. With such a deep love for the Eucharist already, she later encourages her best friend as a teenager to return to the faith.
Then, after a tragic accident, Katherine experiences the loss of her best friend.
A while later, she writes a book about all she’s learned through suffering — she gives it a purpose. Surrendering to God, she uses the pain she’s endured to help others grapple with their own loss and heartache.
