Working Class #8-2023: How Many Economic Crashes? Having to Move to Find Work
Difference Between Small Business Owners vs Billionaire Business Owners: Small business owners are Workers have gone into business. Many times, small business owners do the work of their workers. Small business owners have the same amount of political power as most of the Working Class - NONE
To Work is To Live Under Capital: We have to buy the basics to survive: shelter, food and protection of the system. Every time the economy crashes, our lives are threatened.
What Triggers a Formal Declared an Economic Crash? Economic collapses are called by the government and social institutions (like media) ONLY IF the wealthiest are negatively affected by economic conditions. This means billionaires start hemorrhaging money.
Who Pays for Economic Crashes? The Working Class always is forced to pay, through loss of income, small businesses failures, our savings wiped out, foreclosures on homes, less services, declining quality of services, less protection from predatory capital, - this is always a transfer of what we have into the pockets of the wealthiest people and corporations in the U.S.
SOURCE: WIKIPEDIA "LIST OF RECESSIONS IN THE UNITED STATES": The listed dates and durations are from the official chronology of the National Bureau of Economic Research.
GDP data are from the Bureau of Economic Analysis, unemployment from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The unemployment rate often reaches a peak associated with a recession after the recession has officially ended.

PHOTO: PHOTO: I BELIEVE THIS WOMAN IS WORKING ON A LIBERTY SHIP DURING WWII
The Bethlehem-Fairfield Shipyard of Baltimore, Maryland, was a shipyard in the United States from 1941 until 1945. Located on the south shore of the Middle Branch of the Patapsco River which serves as the Baltimore Harbor, it was owned by the Bethlehem Shipbuilding Company, created by the Bethlehem Steel Corporation of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, which had operated a major waterfront steel mill outside Baltimore to the southeast at Sparrows Point, Maryland in rural Baltimore County since the 1880s.
Fairfield Shipyard - WWII
The first two new shipyards established by the U.S. Maritime Commission in 1941 were the Oregon Shipbuilding Corporation in Portland, Oregon, and Bethlehem-Fairfield Shipyard, Incorporated in Baltimore, Maryland. To boost output, Bethlehem got a contract in February 1941 to build a shipyard at Fairfield, across Baltimore Harbor from Sparrows Point. The Fairfield Yard had the most employees of any Bethlehem shipyard - 44,625 in 1943 - and one of the finest construction records of the war.
The giant Bethlehem-Fairfield yard was built on the Baltimore Harbor, in the vicinity Bethlehem's existing naval yard and steel mill at Sparrow's Point. Such an old harbor did not have sufficient space on the waterfront to build both shipways and fabrication areas, so Bethlehem built its thirteen ways next to the water but located its fabricating plant about two miles away. At the fabricating plant, workers cut steel and assembled components by welding, making identical sections of up to ten tons each for ten ships at a time. Crane operators and riggers then moved those sections to outside work areas to be further welded into units of up to 25 tons. A system of cranes, locomotives, railroad cars, and locomotive cranes then transported the pre-assembled units the two miles to the yard, which was laid-out in order to efficiently receive and store the pre-assembled units before cranes moved them into position on the ways for erection of the hulls.
The first Liberty, the SS Patrick Henry, was built at Fairfield in 1941 and was ready for service in 244 days. The Maritime Commission declared 27 September 1941 as "Liberty Fleet Day" to celebrate the launching of the first ships in the new fleet. With President Roosevelt in attendance that day, Bethlehem-Fairfield at Baltimore launched the first one, the Patrick Henry. The publicity the celebration garnered led the "ugly ducklings" to claim a more noble name: Liberty ships.
Its workers would build 384 Liberty ships, ungainly but easily mass-produced cargo vessels. They were essentially a World War I design that didn't get into production then, but the government kept the plans ready. One Liberty could carry 2,840 jeeps, 440 tanks, or 230 million rounds of rifle ammunition.

Working Class #7-2023: Billionaire Business Owners Suck – One Way Out
IN THIS VIDEO: A Note on Censorship – A Worker's Genealogy and Family History Told Through Census Records – Move to Work – A Manufacturing Cooperative Model – Systemic Opposition to New Business Models – Fundraising for One Job on a Hail Mary Pass
KNOW YOUR WORKING CLASS HISTORY: It was through reading U.S. Census records, I found out how long my ancestors have been in the United States – indications I have ancestry in American Colonies since the 18th century.
Through census records, I found out their names, how old they were, if they could read and level of education, their race, who their family members were and what they did for work. I used historical events to fill in the rest.
After the U.S. Civil War, censuses seem to be haphazardly taken in the South. The census records also indicated there was a lot of upheaval in the lives of my ancestors and people living in the Southern United States.
ABOUT U.S CENSUS: I messed up talking about the U.S. Census. Once Censuses are taken, the information is sealed for 72 years. I had access to 1790 – 1940 online records release to the public.

My Parent’s Wedding Party: My parents were married at my mom’s grandmother’s home. Her grandmother raised her because my mom’s mom, my grandmother, went through a series of bad relationships at the time my mom was a young girl. My great-grandmother took her and her brother in and raised them. My great-grandmother washed laundry for white people in a metal tub with a scrub board and a manual wringer she caught her hand in that damaged it.
In this picture are some of the witnesses to my parent’s marriage. These are my great aunts and second cousins. They are all deceased. One was a laundress like her mother (my great-grandmother). One died in a state mental institution – I never met her. Also, some were mothers.
One was lucky enough to be a stay-at-home mom because her husband worked for the City of New Orleans Post Office. She was able to stay home and raise her four girls because her husband’s unionized job came with worker rights and collective bargaining that gave her family a middle class income. Her husband’s union was a rank & file member of the United Federation of Postal Clerks, one of the several forerunners of the current American Postal Workers Union created in 1971.

Working Class #5-2023: Why I Left My Last Job
CORRECTION: I meant to say, “8 hours a day.” I incorrectly said several times in the video “8 hours a week.” Workers since the 1800s fought (sometimes died) to have an 8 hour workday so they could spend time with the families, rest and have a life outside of work
THIS VIDEO: I explain why I resigned from my last professional job. Don’t get me wrong. I like to work. I get off on doing the best job possible. My goal is always to work at the highest level I can. It makes me feel good. However, forced and coerced into doing shitty work by cheap or rip off employers and superiors is discouraging. That’s when I made the decision to pivot to something much more important than to just have a job and hate it.
VIDEO TOPICS
• Worker Economics – One of the many ways Owners make their profit is through our wage and time
• Jimi Hendrix’s Old Neighborhood
• Employer Business Model – Crappy service because Owners like to pay low wages
• Weekly Pizza Parties – To make abused and unhappy employees think the Owner cares for them
• Employer / Employee Hellhole

Working Class #4-2023: The Billionaires of Barron's and The PPP Loan Scam
BILLIONAIRES ATTACK FROM THE RIGHT!
Paycheck Protection Program (PPP Loans) was another rip off by U.S. Congress on behalf of the Owner Class. PPP Loans was nearly a $800 billion program approved by the Congress by voice vote (not recorded vote). The whole thing was a direct multi-pronged assault by Wallstreet, Banks and the U.S. Congress on the American Working Class.
The Program was directed to be administered by regional banks. The banks had the power to approve and deny PPP loans. Ask yourself: "What could go wrong with banks approving loans for their golf buddy or sister-in-law, or the bank’s largest accounts, and/or the politically powerful?"
The same banks also selected which loans to forgive. The get-out-paying-back card for PPP Loans stipulated: "If Business Owner cannot hire through no fault of his/her own, the loan with accrued interest is forgiven." Bureaus that deal with businesses posted this stipulation on their websites so all Business Owners knew how to grab the free taxpayer money.
BESIDES BUSINESS OWNERS, ANOTHER BENEFICIARY OF PPP LOANS WAS THE BIPARTISAN CONGRESS WHO VOTED FOR THE PPP LOAN PROGRAM. THEN HAD THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS TAKE OUT PPP LOANS THAT WERE, OF COURSE, FORGIVEN.
As of today, 94% of the PPP Loans were forgiven along with accrued interest.
BILLIONIARES ATTACK FROM THE LEFT!
"WORKER SHORTAGE" SLOGAN WAS AN OWNER’S STRIKE: Owners who pocketed PPP Loans in $150K to $10 million per loan stopped hiring. To meet the requirements of not having to pay back the loans, Owners posted fake job ads. Then Owners didn't bother to respond to our applications for employment.
Meanwhile, national and international corporate news media went on the attack using the slogan "No One Wants to Work Anymore.” Sad fake stories come flooding out of media outlets, all of a sudden like a tidal wave, how hard working Owners couldn’t find people to apply for their jobs. All sorts of Owners, their skeleton crew workforce and even customers got into the act by posting signs on store doors and windows, "Sorry, we're slow, no one wants to work anymore."
Many of these “beleaguered floor managers” were actually high level corporate executives whose names were changed by the “Worker Shortage” conveyor belt writers, from Edward Talbot Smith III to Ed Smith.
Eight million plus American worker plus many more of the COVID unemployed desperately sought work by putting out/sending in many applications. Also, without warning, we were confronted by new but bad job search and job application software. The job hunt had been put online.
OUTCOME - BUSINESS OWNERS: Owners cut their payrolls making workers work harder or be fired. OWNER CLASS REWARD: INCREASED PROFITS PLUS FREE CASH FROM THE U.S. TAXPAYERS
OUTCOME - WORKERS: We got traumatized by of unemployment insurance lifeline (we paid into) being cut off. We got traumatized by the Biden Administration lying about the "millions of jobs out there" as thousands of business owners ran fake job ads and didn't respond to our applications. The Biden Administration should have stepped in but didn't.
There is also the trauma of only finding no jobs except $7.25 - $11/hour jobs that demanded 24/7 job availability with no commits from the Owners.
WORKING CLASS PUNISHMENT: THERE WERE NO JOBS FOR MONTHS. THIS LED ME TO HAVE NO INCOME TO PAY BILLS. THIS DESTROYED MY CREDIT SCORE. NOW I’M ONLY ALLOWED ACCESS TO HIGH RENT OPTIONS (40% - 50% OF MONTHLY INCOME DEDICATED TO MONTHLY RENT) FOR WORKING AMERICANS WHOSE CREDIT NOW GARBAGE.

WORKING CLASS #3-2023: No One Wants to Work Anymore? Really?
I say I dropped out of the U.S job market. But I realize I haven’t. I’m looking for meaningful work rather than exchanging being abused for a too low paycheck.
Being a member of the working class, work is central to my being. I like to work. I take pride in doing a good job.
As John Steinbeck wrote: "Americans are temporarily embarrassed millionaires." I am trying to not to be ashamed of what has happened to me as the U.S. economy turns its most deadly forces against the American Working Class. The U.S. economy, run by Wall Street and aided by the U.S. Congress, should be ashamed of its broken, failed, dishonest, criminal self.
VIDEO TOPIC – WORKING CLASS PUNISHMENTS
• BEING UNEMPLOYED: Feeling guilty and terrified you might not find another job
• JOB HUNT JUNGLE: New trend – untested job application software slows down and inhibits job search. Human Resources no longer reads resumes but more than willing to waste your time and ignore you. Too long job vetting – a couple of days used to be enough
• VIOLATION OF PRIVACY BACKGROUND CHECKS FOR JOBS AND TO RENT: New trend - Drug Test and Credit Score is no one’s business unless you’re a bus drive, a pilot or the Chief Finance Officer
• RENTING NIGHTMARE: Unreasonable renting requirements and rents are the main reasons for mass homelessness in the United States. Rents and renting requirements need to be put under community oversight asap
• HUMAN RESOURCES WTF? Today’s HR departments are the old Company Unions. HR and Company Unions solely represent the interests of the owner and are actually hostile to workers. Recommendation: Join or start a union, and put working people you know into union leadership
• FORMER SECRETARY OF LABOR MARTY WALSH IS THE SECOND MOST WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD: After Chairman/CEO Jamie Dimon of JPMorgan Chase
• POOR WHITES IN RURAL COMMUNITIES SUFFER IN SILENCE: This is one of the worse things I have ever seen
NOTE: The national payroll agency passing out BAD Job Application Software that I couldn’t remember is ADP

WORKING CLASS #2-2023 Pt 2: Know YOUR Worker History! Why is Working Class Unity Hard? More about CLASS
My mother worked as an elevator operator at Tulane University while dreaming of becoming a nurse. She never did. At the same time, my dad was a platoon sergeant fighting in Vietnam, bringing out of the jungle alive - all of his guys. He did this twice!
For my family, my dad's military career offered a way out of dire poverty onto an open road into middle class stable lives. We prayed daily he stayed alive.
THIS VIDEO'S TOPICS: The system of "Class" is a scam! The Working Class is actually conservative. If the Working Class is the most powerful entity in the world, then why is the Working Class so weak? Political Left arrogances and bigotries. Political Right needs to drop spewing spoon-fed billionaire anti-worker tropes. Economics is not about Culture - it's about Survival!
TWO CORRECTIONS: 1) I mistakenly said a high level "general." He is a high level colonel, not a general. All other things I said about his position in state and military power structure are correct. 2) I said "YouTube" instead of Twitter when talking about following people online. I am talking about Twitter.

THIS VIDEO'S TOPICS: Parents Lives. An Army Brat's Life. Being a Student. University Jobs. Feeling Different. Money Management. Rich People in Our Lives. Career #1. Career Plan B.
WORKING CLASS MANIFESTO:
ALTHOUGH I AM SMART ENOUGHT TO DO IT, I HAVE NO DESIRE TO BE A SOLE OWNER SO I CAN EXPLOIT OTHERS SO I DON'T HAVE TO WORK. I WORKED FOR SEVERAL MILLIONAIRES AND BILLIONAIRES IN NYC REAL ESTATE. I DESPISED ALL OF THEM!
I WANT CONTROL OVER MY WORK LIFE. I REQUIRE A PERSONAL LIFE. I DESIRE TO BE PROUD OF MY WORK. I NEED TO HAVE RESPECT FOR THOSE I WORK FOR. I DEMAND A STABLE INCOME THAT IS ENOUGH TO COMFORTABLY LIVE ON.
I AM SICK OF WORRYING ABOUT BEING ARBITRARILY FIRED, ECONOMIC DOWN TURNS, MULTI BILLIONAIRES MANIPULATING AND RIGGING THE ECONOMY FOR THEMSELVES, AND GOVERNMENT SO CORRUPTED BY MONEY IT NO LONGER FUNCTIONS FOR THE 99% - THAT’S US!
I AM TIRED OF CORRUPT OWNERS AND CRIMINAL BUSINESS PRACTICES, VICIOUS SENIOR EXECS, HR PITTING WORKER AGAINST WORKER, BULLSHIT FAVORITISM, BOSSES WHO ARE INCOMPENTENT, CAREER ADVANCEMENT BY FLATTERYING JERKS, WORKPLACES THAT ALLOW NO INPUT FROM THE WORK STAFF, AND HAVING TO WATCH OTHER WORKERS BEING MANIPULATED, ABUSED AND USED BY SENIOR MANAGEMENT. I AM TIRED OF OUTRAGEOUS WAGE DISPARITIES IN THE WORKPLACE.
I REFUSE TO ACCEPT NOT BEING PAID THE VALUE OF MY LABOR, HEALTHCARE TIED TO EMPLOYMENT AND NOT BEING ABLE TO RETIRE. I REFUSE TO SAY IT'S OK TO LAZY ABSENTEE ASSHOLE OWNERS!
WORKING CLASS CHANNEL: One goal of this channel is to invite other working class people on to talk about topics relevant for workers and their experiences. I will also explore how how getting out of the abusive, exploitive employer/employee relationship - which I'm trying to do now by planning a worker run and owned pharmacuetical manufacturing cooperative. See below for more info about the co-op project.
MY BACKGROUND: My parents grew up in Jim Crow New Orleans in the 1940s - 1950s that has scarred them to this day. Families on both sides lived paycheck-to-paycheck as laborers, farm hands, maids, laundry women, seamstresses, warehouse workers, dock workers and porters on trains.
My mother worked as an elevator operator at Tulane University while dreaming of becoming a nurse. She never did.
For my father and mother, my dad's military career offered a way out of dire poverty onto an open road into middle class stable lives.
