Another tree, another scenario., this time focus on using "Root Flares" for a hinge and also cutting the root flare during the felling operation vs. after the tree is down.

Spent an after noon getting video for my channel, TOO cold to be logging or in the woods, combination of cold and wind makes that dangerous. SO trains and trains video's as its too cold to be in the shop as well! Just staying home and feeding the fireplace.

A train run. Some from the last video and added Texas Specials and Santa Fe's , Part of this is about multiple locomotives both front and rear of these trains. A frame work that allows MUCH longer trains. Kind of like DPU's in real Railroading

Real bust day on the ex NYC Main line east of Syracuse New York. Probably one of the most heavily traveled main lines on the east coast linking the Metropolitan Area & New England to the rest of the country.

For the 027 Lionel Alco fans out there, a little run time from the collection. But also an experiment to see if the Samsung Galaxy "Pro Video" setting 150fps actually helps when edited with an editor only capable of outputting 60fps file.

Kind of getting i to the weeds a bit, but I have a few "demonstration" video's on the felling technique used on hard wood with strong fibers. Ash, Maple etc. SO much BS online with the West Coast Conifer tree fellers blasting the Humboldt Is the solution to all cutting situations, sometimes just showing is better than evangelizing . This is one of those video's.

A Snow day, started nice but b night fall the snow was really coming down, on its way to a 8 inch total at my place the following day. Seemed like the day of intermodals, they just kept passing through as the day progressed. Part 2 of this is the night show, and while not as many, a couple of really nice CSX "Catches" on video :)

Lots happening in this one from 12-30-2023, A lot of low light/after dark train time as that was when they were most active. A nocturnal railroad :)

Like them or not, those big blue saws can make money for you at a fraction of the price of a comparable "Brand" Name saw, especially the expensive ones :) Would literally need to spent 5 times the money to get the same performance
