Summer Garden July 10, 2020 Update. Tomatoes, Peppers, Squash, Cucumbers, Chayote, etc!
This is an update on our Summer garden plantings and how they were doing at the time of recording this video. Lots have changed, keep watching for updates.
Why I think Cucumbers have lots of flowers at first and no fruits and my attempt (before reading all about it) at guessing at the reason (in video). After reading and viewing other videos about Cucumber plants, I've learned more about vine plants and how squash and other similar vine plants propagate. Check out the video and thank you for watching!

Chaya Propagation Do's and Don'ts. Important Lessons Learned
Chaya Propagation Do's and Don'ts.
A bit of sad news about our Chaya trees. They perished because we had extreme freezing that Winter for several days. It was a rare event here.
Also, in the last couple of years we propagated our Chaya plants by just cutting a stem off and sticking it in the ground . This year we tried propagating our Chaya plants by cutting a bunch of the stems from the tree but I think we waited too long to plant them. Lots of very important lessons learned here. Fortunately one of them, the least expected one survived.

Shell Ginger Red Berry Fruit and Indoor Calamondin Update
Shell Ginger is an ornamental plant that looks like the regular Ginger spice plant. The Shell Ginger plant is typically propagated for its beautiful spray flowers that turns into bright Red colored berry fruits. This plant is very recognizable by the large striking striped leaves of Yellow and Green.
This Calamondin plant was grown outdoors for a year or two and brought indoors because I wanted to smell its fragrant flowers inside the house. It was placed by a relatively sunny window where it thrived very well. However, it started getting these yellowish leaves and looked very challenged. I will upload an update showing what this tree looks like soon. Thank you for watching!
