Toyota Tacoma TSS Sensor Garnish TRD Pro Grille
I found a new method to secure the garnish cover for the TSS sensor on TRD Pro grilles, instead of fighting those push on lock washers that Toyota uses take a 5/16 course die and cut threads into the two posts that the push on lock washers slide onto. Then use two 5/16 course nuts on the two newly threaded posts.
The push on lock washers are a pain to fully seat them. The nuts will solve this issue and the nuts will not back off of the plastic posts, they are nice and secure. In the video the two nuts were snugged up with a wrench and I was not able to back the nuts off at all by hand and even when the nuts were installed by hand they where nice and snug and would not just back off, you have to twist the nuts to back them off with some pressure so road vibration should be no problem.
If you wanted a extra measure of security you could put a drop of superglue on the plastic stud and the nut after it is installed, do not use loctite as loctite can damage the plastic stud due to chemical reaction of the loctite with the plastic.

Empyer Off Road TRD Pro Grille With TSS Garnish
Empyer Off Road TRD Pro Grille With TSS Garnish. No errors from the TSS system with this grille and garnish. Make sure you fully seat the slip lock washers on the two plastic pins at the top corners of the garnish cover.
Tip on installing the slip lock washers is first with a pair of needle nose pliers bend each of the tabs on the washers up a little bit and use a 1/4 inch 11mm deep well chrome socket to push the washers on while pushing on the outside corners of the garnish plate to keep the pins pushed in.

J&L Catch Can Extender To Hold 6oz of Oil
J&L Catch Can Extender To Hold 6oz of Oil. I used a little bit of Permatix Blue Threadlocker on the original can and the extender to help to keep it locked onto the extension tube. That will allow me to replace the o ring some day as it ages. The extension tube then screws onto the oil separator unit and seals with the o ring just like the original can did.

Is Bigger Better For Exhaust Pipes?
Many people still think bigger exhaust pipes are better but the truth is bigger will hurt your performance on street vehicles, bigger exhaust pipes will slow down the exhaust velocity which in turn hurts cylinder scavenging. Running too big of an exhaust pipe will hurt your low end torque and midrange torque.

Borla Cat Back Exhaust Third Gen Toyota Tacoma 2.7 Engine
This video is for those with a 3rd Gen Toyota Tacoma with the 2.7 liter engine that want a quality cat back exhaust system.
I installed a Borla cat back exhaust system on my 2023 3rd Gen Toyota Tacoma 2.7 Liter Access Cab 4X4.
Here are the parts you will need to order:
1. Borla Cat Back Exhaust #140680
2. Borla Extension Pipe #60593
3. Nickson Rubber Isolator hangers #16271-1 (Three of these)
4. Walker Exhaust Rubber Isolator hangers #35296 (Two of these)
This system will bolt in with no cutting or drilling, all you have to do is replace the rubber isolator exhaust hangers.
I hope this information helps out those with a 3rd Gen Tacoma 2.7 liter engine.
I chose Borla because they build all their exhaust systems using T304 stainless steel, this is the best stainless steel you can use for an exhaust system. It will far out last the aluminized steel systems and the 400 series stainless steel systems.

Quick run down of some of the mods on my 2023 Tacoma SR 2.7 4X4
Just a little bit about the mods on my 2023 Toyota Tacoma SR 2.7 4X4 that some may like to do to there trucks. Pick the mods you like, I also did the Toyota Rocker Panel guards you can see them when the doors are open, they are easy to install. I installed them dry, if you get a small air bubble they are easy to remove by pricking the air bubble with the corner of a razor blade and you won't even be able to tell where the air bubble was.

Bubble Balancer No Cost Mod
This is a no cost mode for this style bubble balancer, I would avoid the Harbor Freight models as I have seen videos of them showing the inside of top piece and they were very poorly finished very rough with grind marks and weights added to balance them.
The Harbor Freight units I have seen have red bases and the ones on Amazon with red bases are likely the same unit and cost in the $60 dollar range. Spend a few dollars more and get the silver finished model that is finished properly inside the top unit.
I purchased my bubble balancer from Amazon, it is silver in color and cost $104 dollars but the inside of the top is finished properly and there are no wights to balance the top unit.
The mod consists of drilling out the hole in the top of the unit to 3/8 of an inch so the head unit will properly pivot on the hard steel pin it rests on. When it is not drilled the unit will not swing freely and will stop after three to four arcs back and forth. After drilling the center the head unit will swing for a long time many minutes. Do not drill all the way to the bottom of the hole just drill a little at a time until the unit will swing freely.
