NASA Explores Earth’s Connections
Earth is a complex and dynamic system of interconnected parts. Everything from the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, and the climate we experience depends on the interactions of different components of the Earth system. How do we study these connections and monitor their changes over time? How do we use this knowledge to improve our lives and protect our planet? Join NASA as we explore Earth’s connections through the eyes of our satellites, scientists, and engineers. Learn how NASA observes the Earth from space, land, air, and sea, and how this data helps us understand and manage our environment. Discover how NASA’s Earth science missions contribute to advancing science, technology, education, and public policy. See how NASA Explores Earth’s Connections in this exciting video!

Moon Phases 2022- northern hemisphere - 4k
Moon Phases 2022 – Northern Hemisphere – 4K
Have you ever wondered how the Moon changes its shape and position in the sky throughout the year? In this stunning 4K video, you can see the Moon’s phase and libration at hourly intervals for the entire year of 2022, as viewed from the Northern Hemisphere. Each frame represents one hour of time. You can also see the Moon’s orbit, subsolar and sub-Earth points, and distance from Earth at true scale. The video also shows the names of the craters, maria, and other features on the lunar surface, as well as the locations of the Apollo landing sites. The video is based on data from NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO), which has been mapping the Moon since 2009. Watch this video and learn more about our nearest celestial neighbor! 133 Days on the sun
NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) captured the sun’s heat in 4K x 4K resolution for 133 days from August 12, 2022 to December 22, 2022. This video shows the SDO’s capture of the sun’s activity. The photos in this video show the sun’s outermost atmospheric layer, the corona, at an extreme-ultraviolet wavelength of 17.1 nanometers. This video compiles photos taken every 108 seconds and shows 133 days or about four months of solar observations in 59 minutes
